1 M anasés tenía doce años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó cincuenta y cinco años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre era Hepsiba.

A son of twelve years Manasseh in his reigning, and fifty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Hephzi-Bah;

2 H izo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, conforme a las abominaciones de las naciones que el Señor había desposeído delante de los Israelitas.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, according to the abominations of the nations that Jehovah dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel,

3 P orque reedificó los lugares altos que su padre Ezequías había destruido; levantó también altares a Baal e hizo una Asera (deidad femenina), como había hecho Acab, rey de Israel, y adoró a todo el ejército de los cielos y los sirvió.

and he turneth and buildeth the high places that Hezekiah his father destroyed, and raiseth altars for Baal, and maketh a shrine, as did Ahab king of Israel, and boweth himself to all the host of the heavens, and serveth them.

4 E dificó además altares en la casa del Señor, de la cual el Señor había dicho: “En Jerusalén pondré Mi nombre.”

And he hath built altars in the house of Jehovah, of which Jehovah said, `In Jerusalem I put My name.'

5 E dificó altares a todo el ejército de los cielos en los dos atrios de la casa del Señor.

And he buildeth altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Jehovah;

6 H izo pasar por fuego a su hijo, practicó la hechicería, usó la adivinación y trató con adivinos y espiritistas. Hizo mucho mal ante los ojos del Señor, provocándo lo a ira.

and he hath caused his son to pass through fire, and observed clouds, and used enchantment, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards; he hath multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah -- to provoke to anger.

7 C olocó la imagen tallada de Asera (deidad femenina) que él había hecho, en la casa de la cual el Señor había dicho a David y a su hijo Salomón: “En esta casa y en Jerusalén, que he escogido de entre todas las tribus de Israel, pondré Mi nombre para siempre.

And he setteth the graven image of the shrine that he made in the house of which Jehovah said unto David and unto Solomon his son, `In this house, and in Jerusalem, that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name -- to the age;

8 Y haré que nunca más los pies de Israel vaguen fuera de la tierra que di a sus padres, con tal de que cuiden de hacer conforme a todo lo que les he mandado, y conforme a toda la ley que Mi siervo Moisés les ordenó.”

and I do not add to cause the foot of Israel to move from the ground that I gave to their fathers, only, if they observe to do according to all that I commanded them, and to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.'

9 P ero ellos no escucharon, y Manasés hizo que se extraviaran para que hicieran lo malo, más que las naciones que el Señor había destruido delante de los Israelitas.

And they have not hearkened, and Manasseh causeth them to err, to do the evil thing above the nations that Jehovah destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel.

10 E ntonces el Señor habló por medio de Sus siervos los profetas:

And Jehovah speaketh by the hand of his servants the prophets, saying,

11 “ Por cuanto Manasés, rey de Judá, ha hecho estas abominaciones, habiendo hecho lo malo más que todo lo que hicieron los Amorreos antes de él, haciendo pecar también a Judá con sus ídolos;

`Because that Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations -- he hath done evil above all that the Amorites have done who before him, and causeth also Judah to sin by his idols;

12 p or tanto, así dice el Señor, Dios de Israel: ‘Voy a traer tal calamidad sobre Jerusalén y Judá, que a todo el que oiga de ello le retumbarán ambos oídos.

therefore thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Lo, I am bringing in evil on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever heareth of it, tingle do his two ears.

13 E xtenderé sobre Jerusalén el cordel de Samaria y la plomada de la casa de Acab, y limpiaré a Jerusalén como se limpia un plato, limpiándolo y volviéndolo boca abajo.

And I have stretched out over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and wiped Jerusalem as one wipeth the dish -- he hath wiped, and hath turned on its face.

14 A bandonaré al remanente de Mi heredad y los entregaré en mano de sus enemigos, y serán para presa y despojo para todos sus enemigos;

`And I have left the remnant of Mine inheritance, and given them into the hand of their enemies, and they have been for a prey and for a spoil to all their enemies,

15 p orque han hecho lo malo ante Mis ojos, y han estado provocándome a ira desde el día en que sus padres salieron de Egipto, hasta el día de hoy.’”

because that they have done the evil thing in Mine eyes, and are provoking Me to anger from the day that their fathers came out of Egypt, even unto this day.'

16 A demás, Manasés derramó muchísima sangre inocente hasta llenar a Jerusalén de un extremo a otro, aparte de su pecado con el que hizo pecar a Judá para que hiciera lo malo ante los ojos del Señor.

And also, innocent blood hath Manasseh shed very much, till that he hath filled Jerusalem -- mouth to mouth; apart from his sin that he hath caused Judah to sin, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah.

17 L os demás hechos de Manasés, todo lo que hizo y el pecado que cometió, ¿no están escritos en el Libro de las Crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

And the rest of the matters of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

18 M anasés durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado en el jardín de su casa, en el jardín de Uza; y su hijo Amón reinó en su lugar. Reinado de Amón

And Manasseh lieth with his fathers, and is buried in the garden of his house, in the garden of Uzza, and reign doth Amon his son in his stead.

19 A món tenía veintidós años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dos años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre era Mesulemet, hija de Haruz, de Jotba.

A son of twenty and two years Amon in his reigning, and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz of Jotbah,

20 H izo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, como había hecho su padre Manasés.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, as did Manasseh his father,

21 P ues anduvo en todo el camino en que su padre había andado, sirvió a los ídolos a los que su padre había servido y los adoró.

and walketh in all the way that his father walked in, and serveth the idols that his father served, and boweth himself to them,

22 A bandonó al Señor, el Dios de sus padres, y no anduvo en el camino del Señor.

and forsaketh Jehovah, God of his fathers, and hath not walked in the way of Jehovah.

23 Y conspiraron contra él los siervos de Amón y mataron al rey en su casa.

And the servants of Amon conspire against him, and put the king to death in his own house,

24 P ero el pueblo de la tierra mató a todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón, y en su lugar el pueblo de la tierra hizo rey a su hijo Josías.

and the people of the land smite all those conspiring against king Amon, and the people of the land cause Josiah his son to reign in his stead.

25 L os demás hechos que Amón hizo, ¿no están escritos en el Libro de las Crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

And the rest of the matters of Amon that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

26 A món fue sepultado en su sepulcro en el jardín de Uza; y su hijo Josías reinó en su lugar.

and burieth him in his burying-place in the garden of Uzza, and reign doth Josiah his son in his stead.
