1 ¿ Por qué te glorías del mal, oh poderoso? La misericordia de Dios es constante.

2 T u lengua trama destrucción Como afilada navaja, oh artífice de engaño.

Mischiefs doth thy tongue devise, Like a sharp razor, working deceit.

3 A mas el mal más que el bien, La mentira más que decir lo que es justo. (Selah)

Thou hast loved evil rather than good, Lying, than speaking righteousness. Selah.

4 A mas toda palabra destructora, Oh lengua de engaño.

Thou hast loved all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

5 P ero Dios te destruirá para siempre; Te arrebatará y te arrancará de tu tienda, Y te desarraigará de la tierra de los vivientes. (Selah)

Also -- God doth break thee down for ever, Taketh thee, and pulleth thee out of the tent, And He hath uprooted thee Out of the land of the living. Selah.

6 L os justos verán esto y temerán, Y se reirán de él, diciendo:

And the righteous see, And fear, and laugh at him.

7 “ Ese es el hombre que no quiso hacer de Dios su refugio, Sino que confió en la abundancia de sus riquezas Y se hizo fuerte en sus malos deseos.”

`Lo, the man who maketh not God his strong place, And trusteth in the abundance of his riches, He is strong in his mischiefs.'

8 P ero yo soy como olivo verde en la casa de Dios; En la misericordia de Dios confío eternamente y para siempre.

And I, as a green olive in the house of God, I have trusted in the kindness of God, To the age and for ever,

9 T e daré gracias para siempre por lo que has hecho, Y esperaré en Tu nombre, porque es bueno delante de Tus santos.

I thank Thee to the age, because Thou hast done, And I wait Thy name for good before Thy saints!
