1 L o que vio Isaías, hijo de Amoz, con relación a Judá y Jerusalén.

The thing that Isaiah son of Amoz hath seen concerning Judah and Jerusalem:

2 A contecerá en los postreros días, Que el monte de la casa del Señor Será establecido como cabeza de los montes. Se alzará sobre los collados, Y confluirán a él todas las naciones.

And it hath come to pass, In the latter end of the days, Established is the mount of Jehovah's house, Above the top of the mounts, And it hath been lifted up above the heights, And flowed unto it have all the nations.

3 V endrán muchos pueblos, y dirán: “Vengan, subamos al monte del Señor, A la casa del Dios de Jacob, Para que nos enseñe acerca de Sus caminos, Y andemos en Sus sendas.” Porque de Sion saldrá la ley (la instrucción), Y de Jerusalén la palabra del Señor.

And gone have many peoples and said, `Come, and we go up unto the mount of Jehovah, Unto the house of the God of Jacob, And He doth teach us of His ways, And we walk in His paths, For from Zion goeth forth a law, And a word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

4 E l juzgará entre las naciones, Y hará decisiones por muchos pueblos. Forjarán sus espadas en rejas de arado, Y sus lanzas en podaderas. No alzará espada nación contra nación, Ni se adiestrarán más para la guerra.

And He hath judged between the nations, And hath given a decision to many peoples, And they have beat their swords to ploughshares, And their spears to pruning-hooks, Nation doth not lift up sword unto nation, Nor do they learn any more -- war.

5 C asa de Jacob, vengan y caminemos a la luz del Señor.

O house of Jacob, come, And we walk in the light of Jehovah.'

6 C iertamente has abandonado a Tu pueblo, la casa de Jacob, Porque están llenos de costumbres del oriente, Son adivinos como los Filisteos, Y hacen tratos con hijos de extranjeros.

For Thou hast left Thy people, the house of Jacob. For they have been filled from the east, And sorcerers like the Philistines, And with the children of strangers strike hands.

7 S e ha llenado su tierra de plata y de oro, Y no tienen fin sus tesoros. Su tierra se ha llenado de caballos, Y no tienen fin sus carros.

And its land is full of silver and gold, And there is no end to its treasures, And its land is full of horses, And there is no end to its chariots,

8 T ambién su tierra se ha llenado de ídolos. Adoran la obra de sus manos, Lo que han hecho sus dedos.

And its land is full of idols, To the work of its hands it boweth itself, To that which its fingers have made,

9 H a sido humillado el hombre común, Y ha sido abatido el hombre de importancia; Pero no los perdones.

And the low boweth down, and the high is humbled, And Thou acceptest them not.

10 M étete en la roca, y escóndete en el polvo Del terror del Señor y del esplendor de Su majestad.

Enter into a rock, and be hidden in dust, Because of the fear of Jehovah, And because of the honour of His excellency.

11 L a mirada altiva del hombre será abatida, Y humillada la soberbia de los hombres. Sólo el Señor será exaltado en aquel día.

The haughty eyes of man have been humbled, And bowed down hath been the loftiness of men, And set on high hath Jehovah alone been in that day.

12 P orque el día del Señor de los ejércitos vendrá Contra todo el que es soberbio y orgulloso, Contra todo el que se ha ensalzado, Y serán abatidos.

For a day to Jehovah of Hosts, For every proud and high one, And for every lifted up and low one,

13 Y esto será contra todos los cedros del Líbano Altos y erguidos, Contra todas las encinas de Basán,

And for all cedars of Lebanon, The high and the exalted ones, And for all oaks of Bashan,

14 C ontra todos los montes encumbrados, Contra todos los collados elevados,

And for all the high mountains, And for all the exalted heights,

15 C ontra toda torre alta, Contra toda muralla fortificada,

And for every high tower, And for every fenced wall,

16 C ontra todas las naves de Tarsis Y contra toda obra de arte preciada.

And for all ships of Tarshish, And for all desirable pictures.

17 S erá humillado el orgullo del hombre Y abatido el orgullo de los hombres. Sólo el Señor será exaltado en aquel día,

And bowed down hath been the haughtiness of man, And humbled the loftiness of men, And set on high hath Jehovah alone been in that day.

18 Y los ídolos desaparecerán por completo.

And the idols -- they completely pass away.

19 L os hombres se meterán en las cuevas de las rocas Y en las hendiduras de la tierra, Ante el terror del Señor Y ante el esplendor de Su majestad, Cuando El se levante para hacer temblar la tierra.

And have entered into caverns of rocks, And into caves of dust, Because of the fear of Jehovah, And because of the honour of His excellency, In His rising to terrify the earth.

20 A quel día el hombre arrojará a los topos y a los murciélagos, Sus ídolos de plata y sus ídolos de oro Que se había hecho para adorar los.

In that day doth man cast his idols of silver, And his idols of gold, That they have made for him to worship, To moles, and to bats,

21 Y se meterá en las cavernas de las rocas y en las hendiduras de las peñas, Ante el terror del Señor y ante el esplendor de Su majestad, Cuando El se levante para hacer temblar la tierra.

To enter into cavities of the rocks, And into clefts of the high places, Because of the fear of Jehovah, And because of the honour of His excellency, In His rising to terrify the earth.

22 D ejen de considerar al hombre, cuyo soplo de vida está en su nariz. Pues ¿en qué ha de ser él estimado ?

Cease for you from man, Whose breath in his nostrils, For -- in what is he esteemed?
