1 D ios, habiendo hablado hace mucho tiempo, en muchas ocasiones y de muchas maneras a los padres por los profetas,

In many parts, and many ways, God of old having spoken to the fathers in the prophets,

2 e n estos últimos días nos ha hablado por Su Hijo, a quien constituyó heredero de todas las cosas, por medio de quien hizo también el universo.

in these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He did make the ages;

3 E l es el resplandor de Su gloria y la expresión (representación) exacta de Su naturaleza, y sostiene todas las cosas por la palabra de Su poder. Después de llevar a cabo la purificación de los pecados, el Hijo se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,

who being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also the all things by the saying of his might -- through himself having made a cleansing of our sins, sat down at the right hand of the greatness in the highest,

4 s iendo mucho mejor (llegando a ser superior a) los ángeles, por cuanto ha heredado un nombre más excelente que ellos. El Hijo, Superior a los Angeles

having become so much better than the messengers, as he did inherit a more excellent name than they.

5 P orque ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: “ Hijo Mio eres Tu, Yo Te he engendrado hoy;” y otra vez: “ Yo sere Padre para El, y El sera Hijo para Mi ?”

For to which of the messengers said He ever, `My Son thou art -- I to-day have begotten thee?' and again, `I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son?'

6 D e nuevo, cuando trae al Primogénito al mundo, dice: “Y Lo adoren todos los angeles de Dios.”

and when again He may bring in the first-born to the world, He saith, `And let them bow before him -- all messengers of God;'

7 D e los ángeles dice: “ El que hace a Sus angeles, espiritus, y a Sus ministros, llama de fuego.”

and unto the messengers, indeed, He saith, `Who is making His messengers spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire;'

8 P ero del Hijo dice: “ Tu trono, oh Dios, es por los siglos de los siglos, y cetro de equidad es el cetro de Tu reino.

and unto the Son: `Thy throne, O God, to the age of the age; a scepter of righteousness the scepter of thy reign;

9 H as amado la justicia y aborrecido la iniquidad; por lo cual Dios, Tu Dios, Te ha ungido con oleo de alegria mas que a Tus compañeros.”

thou didst love righteousness, and didst hate lawlessness; because of this did He anoint thee -- God, thy God -- with oil of gladness above thy partners;'

10 T ambién: “ Tu, Señor, en el principio pusiste los cimientos de la tierra, y los cielos son obra de Tus manos;

and, `Thou, at the beginning, Lord, the earth didst found, and a work of thy hands are the heavens;

11 E llos pereceran, pero Tu permaneces; y todos ellos como una vestidura se envejeceran,

these shall perish, and Thou dost remain, and all, as a garment, shall become old,

12 y como un manto los enrollaras; como una vestidura seran mudados. Pero Tu eres el mismo, y Tus años no tendran fin.”

and as a mantle Thou shall roll them together, and they shall be changed, and Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.'

13 P ero, ¿a cuál de los ángeles jamás ha dicho Dios: “ Sientate a Mi diestra hasta que ponga a Tus enemigos por estrado de Tus pies ?”

And unto which of the messengers said He ever, `Sit at My right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?'

14 ¿ No son todos ellos espíritus ministradores, enviados para servir por causa de los que heredarán la salvación ?

are they not all spirits of service -- for ministration being sent forth because of those about to inherit salvation?
