Sons of Reuben, first-born of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

4 L os hijos de Joel fueron Semaías su hijo, Gog su hijo, Simei su hijo,

Sons of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,

5 M icaía su hijo, Reaía su hijo, Baal su hijo,

Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son,

6 B eera su hijo, a quien Tilgat Pilneser, rey de los Asirios, se llevó al destierro; éste fue jefe de los Rubenitas.

Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur removed; he prince of the Reubenite.

7 S us parientes, por sus familias, en la genealogía de sus generaciones, fueron Jeiel el jefe, después Zacarías

And his brethren, by their families, in the genealogy of their generations, heads: Jeiel, and Zechariah,

8 y Bela, hijo de Azaz, hijo de Sema, hijo de Joel, que habitó en Aroer hasta Nebo y Baal Meón.

and Bela son of Azaz, son of Shema, son of Joel -- he is dwelling in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal-Meon;

9 Y hacia el oriente habitó hasta la entrada del desierto desde el Río Eufrates, porque su ganado había aumentado en la tierra de Galaad.

and at the east he dwelt even unto the entering in of the wilderness, even from the river Phrat, for their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.

10 E n los días de Saúl hicieron guerra contra los Agarenos, los cuales cayeron en sus manos, de modo que ellos ocuparon sus tiendas por toda la tierra al oriente de Galaad.

And in the days of Saul they have made war with the Hagarites, who fall by their hand, and they dwell in their tents over all the face of the east of Gilead.

11 Y los hijos de Gad habitaron frente a ellos en la tierra de Basán, hasta Salca.

And the sons of Gad, over-against them have dwelt in the land of Bashan unto Salcah,

12 J oel fue el jefe, y Safán el segundo, después Jaanai y Safat en Basán.

Joel the head, and Shapham the second, and Jaanai and Shaphat in Bashan;

13 L os parientes de sus casas paternas fueron Micael, Mesulam, Seba, Jorai, Jacán, Zía y Heber: siete.

and their brethren of the house of their fathers Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.

14 E stos fueron los hijos de Abihail, hijo de Huri, hijo de Jaroa, hijo de Galaad, hijo de Micael, hijo de Jesisai, hijo de Jahdo, hijo de Buz;

These sons of Abihail son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jeshishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz;

15 A hí, hijo de Abdiel, hijo de Guni, fue jefe de sus casas paternas.

Ahi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, head of the house of their fathers;

16 Y habitaron en Galaad, en Basán y en sus ciudades, y en todos los ejidos de Sarón, hasta sus fronteras.

and they dwell in Gilead in Bashan, and in her small towns, and in all suburbs of Sharon, upon their outskirts;

17 T odos éstos fueron inscritos por genealogías en los días de Jotam, rey de Judá, y en los días de Jeroboam, rey de Israel.

all of them reckoned themselves by genealogy in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

18 L os Rubenitas, los Gaditas y la media tribu de Manasés, hombres valientes, hombres que traían escudo y espada, tiraban con arco, y que eran diestros en batalla, fueron 44, 760 que salían a la guerra.

Sons of Reuben, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, of sons of valour, men bearing shield and sword, and treading bow, and taught in battle, forty and four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going out to the host.

19 E hicieron guerra contra los Agarenos, Jetur, Nafis y Nodab.

And they make war with the Hagarites, and Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab,

20 D ios los ayudó contra ellos, y los Agarenos y todos los que estaban con ellos fueron entregados en sus manos; porque clamaron a Dios en la batalla, y Dios fue propicio a ellos porque confiaron en El.

and they are helped against them, and the Hagarites are given into their hand, and all who with them, for they cried to God in battle, and He was entreated of them, because they trusted in Him.

21 Y se apoderaron de sus ganados: 50, 000 camellos, 250, 000 ovejas, 2, 000 asnos; también 100, 000 hombres.

And they take captive their cattle, of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of human beings a hundred thousand;

22 M uchos, pues, cayeron muertos, porque la guerra era de Dios. Y habitaron en su lugar hasta el destierro.

for many have fallen pierced, for of God the battle; and they dwell in their stead till the removal.

23 L os hijos de la media tribu de Manasés habitaron en la región; eran muy numerosos desde Basán hasta Baal Hermón, Senir y el Monte Hermón.

And the sons of the half of the tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Bashan unto Baal-Hermon, and Senir, and mount Hermon, they have multiplied.

24 Y estos fueron los jefes de sus casas paternas: Efer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremías, Hodavías y Jahdiel, hombres fuertes de gran valor, hombres de renombre, jefes de sus casas paternas.

And these heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, men mighty in valour, men of name, heads to the house of their fathers.

25 P ero traicionaron al Dios de sus padres, y se prostituyeron con los dioses de los pueblos de la tierra, los cuales Dios había destruido delante de ellos.

And they trespass against the God of their fathers, and go a-whoring after the gods of the peoples of the land whom God destroyed from their presence;

26 P or lo cual el Dios de Israel movió el espíritu de Pul, rey de Asiria, o sea, el espíritu de Tilgat Pilneser, rey de Asiria, quien los llevó al destierro, es decir, a los Rubenitas, los Gaditas y a la media tribu de Manasés, llevándolos a Halah, Habor, Hara y al río de Gozán, hasta el día de hoy.

and stir up doth the God of Israel the spirit of Pul king of Asshur, and the spirit of Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur, and he removeth them -- even the Reubenite, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh -- and bringeth them in to Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and the river of Gozan unto this day.
