1 T ocó en suerte a los hijos de José desde el Jordán frente a Jericó (las aguas de Jericó) al oriente, hacia el desierto, subiendo desde Jericó por la región montañosa a Betel (Casa de Dios).

And the lot for the sons of Joseph goeth out from Jordan Jericho, to the waters of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness going up from Jericho in the hill-country of Beth-El,

2 S eguía desde Betel a Luz, y continuaba hasta la frontera de los Arquitas en Atarot.

and hath gone out from Beth-El to Luz, and passed over unto the border of Archi Ataroth,

3 Y descendía hacia el occidente al territorio de los Jafletitas, hasta el territorio de Bet Horón de abajo, y hasta Gezer, y terminaba en el mar.

and gone down westward unto the border of Japhleti, unto the border of Beth-Horon the lower, and unto Gezer, and its outgoings have been at the sea.

4 R ecibieron, pues, su heredad los hijos de José, Manasés y Efraín.

And the sons of Joseph -- Manasseh and Ephraim -- inherit.

5 E ste fue el territorio de los hijos de Efraín conforme a sus familias: el límite de su heredad hacia el oriente era Atarot Adar, hasta Bet Horón de arriba.

And the border of the sons of Ephraim is by their families; and the border of their inheritance is on the east, Atroth-Addar unto Beth-Horon the upper;

6 E l límite iba hacia el occidente en Micmetat al norte, girando hacia el oriente en Taanat Silo, y continuaba más allá al oriente de Janoa.

and the border hath gone out at the sea, to Michmethah on the north, and the border hath gone round eastward Taanath-Shiloh, and passed over it eastward to Janohah,

7 D escendía de Janoa a Atarot y a Naarat, llegaba a Jericó y salía al Jordán.

and gone down from Janohah Ataroth, and to Naarath, and touched against Jericho, and gone out at the Jordan.

8 D e Tapúa el límite continuaba hacia el occidente hasta el arroyo de Caná, y terminaba en el mar. Esta es la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Efraín, conforme a sus familias,

From Tappuah the border goeth westward unto the brook of Kanah, and its outgoings have been at the sea: this the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, for their families.

9 j unto con las ciudades que fueron apartadas para los hijos de Efraín en medio de la heredad de los hijos de Manasés, todas las ciudades con sus aldeas.

And the separate cities of the sons of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities and their villages;

10 P ero los de Efraín no expulsaron a los Cananeos que habitaban en Gezer. Por tanto, los Cananeos habitan en medio de Efraín hasta hoy, pero fueron sometidos a trabajos forzados.

and they have not dispossessed the Canaanite who is dwelling in Gezer, and the Canaanite dwelleth in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and is to tribute -- a servant.
