1 D espués de esto, David derrotó a los Filisteos y los sometió, y David tomó el mando de la ciudad principal de mano de los Filisteos.

And it cometh to pass afterwards that David smiteth the Philistines, and humbleth them, and David taketh the bridle of the metropolis out of the hand of the Philistines.

2 T ambién derrotó a Moab, y los midió con cordel, haciéndolos tenderse en tierra. Midió dos cordeles para dar les muerte, y un cordel entero para dejar los vivos. Y los Moabitas fueron siervos de David, trayéndo le tributo.

And he smiteth Moab, and measureth them with a line, causing them to lie down on the earth, and he measureth two lines to put to death, and the fulness of the line to keep alive, and the Moabites are to David for servants, bearers of a present.

3 D avid derrotó también a Hadad Ezer, hijo de Rehob, rey de Soba, cuando éste iba a restaurar su dominio en el Río (el Eufrates).

And David smiteth Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, in his going to bring back his power by the River

4 D avid le tomó 1, 700 hombres de a caballo y 20, 000 soldados de a pie. David desjarretó los caballos de los carros, pero dejó suficientes de ellos para 100 carros.

and David captureth from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroyeth utterly the whole of the charioteers, only he leaveth of them a hundred charioteers.

5 C uando vinieron los Arameos de Damasco en ayuda de Hadad Ezer, rey de Soba, David mató a 22, 000 hombres de los Arameos.

And Aram of Damascus cometh to give help to Hadadezer king of Zobah, and David smiteth of Aram twenty and two thousand men;

6 E ntonces David puso guarniciones entre los Arameos de Damasco, y los Arameos fueron siervos de David, trayéndo le tributo. Y el Señor ayudaba a David dondequiera que iba.

and David putteth garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and Aram is to David for a servant, bearing a present; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone;

7 D avid tomó los escudos de oro que llevaban los siervos de Hadad Ezer, y los trajo a Jerusalén.

and David taketh the shields of gold which were on the servants of Hadadezer, and bringeth them to Jerusalem;

8 Y de Beta y de Berotai, ciudades de Hadad Ezer, el rey David tomó una gran cantidad de bronce.

and from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, hath king David taken very much brass.

9 C uando Toi, rey de Hamat, oyó que David había derrotado a todo el ejército de Hadad Ezer,

And Toi king of Hamath heareth that David hath smitten all the force of Hadadezer,

10 T oi envió a su hijo Joram al rey David, para saludarlo y bendecirlo, porque había peleado contra Hadad Ezer y lo había derrotado; pues Hadad Ezer había estado en guerra con Toi. Y Joram trajo consigo objetos de plata, de oro y de bronce,

and Toi sendeth Joram his son unto king David to ask of him of welfare, and to bless him, (because that he hath fought against Hadadezer, and smiteth him, for a man of wars Toi had Hadadezer been), and in his hand have been vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass,

11 q ue el rey David dedicó también al Señor, junto con la plata y el oro que había dedicado de todas las naciones que él había sometido:

also them did king David sanctify to Jehovah, with the silver and the gold which he sanctified of all the nations which he subdued:

12 d e Aram y Moab, de los Amonitas, de los Filisteos y de los Amalecitas, y del botín de Hadad Ezer, hijo de Rehob, rey de Soba.

of Aram, and of Moab, and of the Bene-Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob king of Zobah.

13 Y David se hizo de renombre cuando regresó de derrotar a 18, 000 Arameos en el Valle de la Sal.

And David maketh a name in his turning back from his smiting Aram in the valley of Salt -- eighteen thousand;

14 P uso guarniciones en Edom; por todo Edom puso guarniciones, y todos los Edomitas fueron siervos de David. Y el Señor daba la victoria a David dondequiera que iba. Oficiales de David

and he putteth in Edom garrisons -- in all Edom he hath put garrisons, and all Edom are servants to David; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone.

15 D avid reinó sobre todo Israel, y administraba justicia y derecho a todo su pueblo.

And David reigneth over all Israel, and David is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,

16 J oab, hijo de Sarvia, era jefe del ejército, y Josafat, hijo de Ahilud, era cronista;

and Joab son of Zeruiah over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud remembrancer,

17 S adoc, hijo de Ahitob, y Ahimelec, hijo de Abiatar, eran sacerdotes, y Seraías era secretario;

and Zadok son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, priests, and Seraiah scribe,

18 B enaía, hijo de Joiada, era jefe de los Cereteos y Peleteos; y los hijos de David eran ministros principales.

and Benaiah son of Jehoiada both the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the sons of David have been ministers.
