1 “ Porque viene el día, ardiente como un horno, y todos los soberbios y todos los que hacen el mal serán como paja; y el día que va a venir les prenderá fuego,” dice el Señor de los ejércitos “que no les dejará ni raíz ni rama.

For, lo, the day hath come, burning as a furnace, And all the proud, and every wicked doer, have been stubble, And burnt them hath the day that came, Said Jehovah of Hosts, That there is not left to them root or branch,

2 P ero para ustedes que temen (reverencian) Mi nombre, se levantará el sol de justicia con la salud en sus alas; y saldrán y saltarán como terneros del establo.

And risen to you, ye who fear My name, Hath the sun of righteousness -- and healing in its wings, And ye have gone forth, and have increased as calves of a stall.

3 Y ustedes pisotearán a los impíos, pues ellos serán ceniza bajo las plantas de sus pies el día en que Yo actúe,” dice el Señor de los ejércitos.

And ye have trodden down the wicked, For they are ashes under the soles of your feet, In the day that I am appointing, Said Jehovah of Hosts.

4 “ Acuérdense de la ley de Mi siervo Moisés, de los estatutos y las ordenanzas que Yo le di en Horeb para todo Israel.

Remember ye the law of Moses My servant, That I did command him in Horeb, For all Israel -- statutes and judgments.

5 Y o les envío al profeta Elías antes que venga el día del Señor, día grande y terrible.

Lo, I am sending to you Elijah the prophet, Before the coming of the day of Jehovah, The great and the fearful.

6 E l hará volver el corazón de los padres hacia los hijos, y el corazón de los hijos hacia los padres, no sea que Yo venga y hiera la tierra con maldición (destrucción total).”

And he hath turned back the heart of fathers to sons, And the heart of sons to their fathers, Before I come and have utterly smitten the land!
