1 P or tanto, ahora no hay condenación para los que están en Cristo Jesús, los que no andan conforme a la carne sino conforme al Espíritu.

There is, then, now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit;

2 P orque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús te ha libertado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.

for the law of the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus did set me free from the law of the sin and of the death;

3 P ues lo que la Ley no pudo hacer, ya que era débil por causa de la carne, Dios lo hizo: enviando a Su propio Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado y como ofrenda por el pecado, condenó al pecado en la carne,

for what the law was not able to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, His own Son having sent in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, did condemn the sin in the flesh,

4 p ara que el requisito de la Ley se cumpliera en nosotros, que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.

that the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

5 P orque los que viven conforme a la carne, ponen la mente en las cosas de la carne, pero los que viven conforme al Espíritu, en las cosas del Espíritu.

For those who are according to the flesh, the things of the flesh do mind; and those according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit;

6 P orque la mente puesta en la carne es muerte, pero la mente puesta en el Espíritu es vida y paz.

for the mind of the flesh death, and the mind of the Spirit -- life and peace;

7 L a mente puesta en la carne es enemiga de Dios, porque no se sujeta a la Ley de Dios, pues ni siquiera puede hacerlo,

because the mind of the flesh enmity to God, for to the law of God it doth not subject itself,

8 y los que están en la carne no pueden agradar a Dios. Viviendo según el Espíritu

for neither is it able; and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.

9 S in embargo, ustedes no están en la carne sino en el Espíritu, si en verdad el Espíritu de Dios habita en ustedes. Pero si alguien no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, el tal no es de El.

And ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God doth dwell in you; and if any one hath not the Spirit of Christ -- this one is not His;

10 Y si Cristo está en ustedes, aunque el cuerpo esté muerto a causa del pecado, sin embargo, el espíritu está vivo (es vida) a causa de la justicia.

and if Christ in you, the body, indeed, dead because of sin, and the Spirit life because of righteousness,

11 P ero si el Espíritu de Aquél que resucitó a Jesús de entre los muertos habita en ustedes, el mismo que resucitó a Cristo Jesús de entre los muertos, también dará vida a sus cuerpos mortales por medio de Su Espíritu que habita en ustedes.

and if the Spirit of Him who did raise up Jesus out of the dead doth dwell in you, He who did raise up the Christ out of the dead shall quicken also your dying bodies, through His Spirit dwelling in you.

12 A sí que, hermanos, somos deudores, no a la carne, para vivir conforme a la carne.

So, then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh;

13 P orque si ustedes viven conforme a la carne, habrán de morir; pero si por el Espíritu hacen morir las obras de la carne (del cuerpo), vivirán.

for if according to the flesh ye do live, ye are about to die; and if, by the Spirit, the deeds of the body ye put to death, ye shall live;

14 P orque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, los tales son hijos de Dios.

for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God;

15 P ues ustedes no han recibido un espíritu de esclavitud para volver otra vez al temor, sino que han recibido un espíritu de adopción como hijos, por el cual clamamos: “¡Abba, Padre!”

for ye did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, `Abba -- Father.'

16 E l Espíritu mismo da testimonio a nuestro espíritu de que somos hijos de Dios.

The Spirit himself doth testify with our spirit, that we are children of God;

17 Y si somos hijos, somos también herederos; herederos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo, si en verdad padecemos con El a fin de que también seamos glorificados con El. La Gloria Futura

and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ -- if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.

18 P ues considero que los sufrimientos de este tiempo presente no son dignos de ser comparados con la gloria que nos ha de ser revelada.

For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time not worthy with the glory about to be revealed in us;

19 P orque el anhelo profundo de la creación es aguardar ansiosamente la revelación de los hijos de Dios.

for the earnest looking out of the creation doth expect the revelation of the sons of God;

20 P orque la creación fue sometida a vanidad, no de su propia voluntad, sino por causa de Aquél que la sometió, en la esperanza

for to vanity was the creation made subject -- not of its will, but because of Him who did subject -- in hope,

21 d e que la creación misma será también liberada de la esclavitud de la corrupción a la libertad de la gloria de los hijos de Dios.

that also the creation itself shall be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God;

22 P ues sabemos que la creación entera gime y sufre hasta ahora dolores de parto.

for we have known that all the creation doth groan together, and doth travail in pain together till now.

23 Y no sólo ella, sino que también nosotros mismos, que tenemos las primicias del Espíritu, aun nosotros mismos gemimos en nuestro interior, aguardando ansiosamente la adopción como hijos, la redención de nuestro cuerpo.

And not only, but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting -- the redemption of our body;

24 P orque en esperanza hemos sido salvados, pero la esperanza que se ve no es esperanza, pues, ¿por qué esperar lo que uno ve?

for in hope we were saved, and hope beheld is not hope; for what any one doth behold, why also doth he hope for ?

25 P ero si esperamos lo que no vemos, con paciencia (perseverancia) lo aguardamos. Victoriosos en Cristo

and if what we do not behold we hope for, through continuance we expect.

26 D e la misma manera, también el Espíritu nos ayuda en nuestra debilidad. No sabemos orar como debiéramos, pero el Espíritu mismo intercede por nosotros con gemidos indecibles.

And, in like manner also, the Spirit doth help our weaknesses; for, what we may pray for, as it behoveth, we have not known, but the Spirit himself doth make intercession for us with groanings unutterable,

27 Y Aquél que escudriña los corazones sabe cuál es el sentir del Espíritu, porque El intercede por los santos conforme a la voluntad de Dios.

and He who is searching the hearts hath known what the mind of the Spirit, because according to God he doth intercede for saints.

28 Y sabemos que para los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas cooperan para bien, esto es, para los que son llamados conforme a Su propósito.

And we have known that to those loving God all things do work together for good, to those who are called according to purpose;

29 P orque a los que de antemano conoció, también los predestinó a ser hechos conforme a la imagen de Su Hijo, para que El sea el primogénito entre muchos hermanos.

because whom He did foreknow, He also did fore-appoint, conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be first-born among many brethren;

30 A los que predestinó, a ésos también llamó. A los que llamó, a ésos también justificó. A los que justificó, a ésos también glorificó.

and whom He did fore-appoint, these also He did call; and whom He did call, these also He declared righteous; and whom He declared righteous, these also He did glorify.

31 E ntonces, ¿qué diremos a esto? Si Dios está por nosotros, ¿quién estará contra nosotros ?

What, then, shall we say unto these things? if God for us, who against us?

32 E l que no negó ni a Su propio Hijo, sino que Lo entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos dará también junto con El todas las cosas?

He who indeed His own Son did not spare, but for us all did deliver him up, how shall He not also with him the all things grant to us?

33 ¿ Quién acusará a los escogidos de Dios ? Dios es el que justifica.

Who shall lay a charge against the choice ones of God? God He that is declaring righteous,

34 ¿ Quién es el que condena ? Cristo Jesús es el que murió, sí, más aún, el que resucitó, el que además está a la diestra de Dios, el que también intercede por nosotros.

who he that is condemning? Christ He that died, yea, rather also, was raised up; who is also on the right hand of God -- who also doth intercede for us.

35 ¿ Quién nos separará del amor de Cristo ? ¿Tribulación, o angustia, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada ?

Who shall separate us from the love of the Christ? tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 T al como está escrito: “ Por causa tuya somos puestos a muerte todo el dia; somos considerados como ovejas para el matadero.”

(according as it hath been written -- `For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long, we were reckoned as sheep of slaughter,')

37 P ero en todas estas cosas somos más que vencedores por medio de Aquél que nos amó.

but in all these we more than conquer, through him who loved us;

38 P orque estoy convencido de que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir, ni los poderes,

for I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor messengers, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present,

39 n i lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios que es en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro.

nor things about to be, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, that in Christ Jesus our Lord.
