1 C uando Salomón terminó de orar, descendió fuego desde el cielo y consumió el holocausto y los sacrificios, y la gloria del Señor llenó la casa (el templo).

And at Solomon's finishing to pray, then the fire hath come down from the heavens, and consumeth the burnt-offering and the sacrifices, and the honour of Jehovah hath filled the house,

2 L os sacerdotes no podían entrar en la casa del Señor, porque la gloria del Señor llenaba la casa del Señor.

and the priests have not been able to go in unto the house of Jehovah, because the honour of Jehovah hath filled the house of Jehovah.

3 Y todos los Israelitas, viendo descender el fuego y la gloria del Señor sobre la casa, se postraron rostro en tierra sobre el pavimento y adoraron y alabaron al Señor, diciendo: “Ciertamente El es bueno; ciertamente Su misericordia es para siempre.”

And all the sons of Israel are looking on the descending of the fire, and the honour of Jehovah on the house, and they bow -- faces to the earth -- on the pavement, and do obeisance, and give thanks to Jehovah, for good, for to the age His kindness.

4 E ntonces el rey y todo el pueblo ofrecieron sacrificio delante del Señor.

And the king and all the people are sacrificing a sacrifice before Jehovah,

5 Y el rey Salomón ofreció un sacrificio de 22, 000 bueyes y 120, 000 ovejas. Así dedicaron la casa de Dios, el rey y todo el pueblo.

and king Solomon sacrificeth the sacrifice of the herd, twenty and two thousand, and of the flock, a hundred and twenty thousand, and the king and all the people dedicate the house of God.

6 L os sacerdotes estaban en sus debidos lugares, también los Levitas con los instrumentos de música para el Señor, los cuales había hecho el rey David para alabar al Señor (porque para siempre es Su misericordia), cuando David ofrecía alabanza por medio de ellos. Los sacerdotes tocaban trompetas frente a ellos, y todo Israel estaba de pie.

And the priests over their charges are standing, and the Levites with instruments of the song of Jehovah -- that David the king made, to give thanks to Jehovah, for to the age His kindness, in David's praising by their hand -- and the priests are blowing trumpets over-against them, and all Israel are standing.

7 S alomón consagró también la parte central del atrio que estaba delante de la casa del Señor, pues allí había ofrecido los holocaustos y la grasa de las ofrendas de paz, porque el altar de bronce que Salomón había hecho no podía contener el holocausto, la ofrenda de cereal y la grasa.

And Solomon sanctifieth the middle of the court that before the house of Jehovah, for he hath made there the burnt-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings: for the altar of brass that Solomon made hath not been able to contain the burnt-offering, and the present, and the fat.

8 S alomón celebró la fiesta en aquella ocasión por siete días, y todo Israel con él, una asamblea muy grande, que vinieron desde la entrada de Hamat hasta el torrente de Egipto.

And solomon maketh the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him -- a very great assembly -- from the entering in of Hamath unto the brook of Egypt.

9 Y al octavo día tuvieron una asamblea solemne; porque habían celebrado la dedicación del altar por siete días y la fiesta por siete días.

And they make on the eighth day a restraint, because the dedication of the altar they have made seven days, and the feast seven days.

10 E ntonces, el día veintitrés del mes séptimo, Salomón envió al pueblo a sus tiendas, gozosos y alegres de corazón por el bien que el Señor había mostrado a David, a Salomón y a Su pueblo Israel.

And on the twenty and third day of the seventh month he hath sent the people to their tents, rejoicing, and glad in heart, for the goodness that Jehovah hath done to David, and to Solomon, and to Israel His people.

11 A sí acabó Salomón la casa del Señor y el palacio del rey, y llevó a cabo todo lo que se había propuesto hacer en la casa del Señor y en su palacio.

And Solomon finisheth the house of Jehovah, and the house of the king; and all that hath come on the heart of Solomon to do in the house of Jehovah, and in his own house, he hath caused to prosper.

12 Y el Señor se apareció a Salomón de noche y le dijo: “He oído tu oración, y he escogido para Mí este lugar como casa de sacrificio.

And Jehovah appeareth unto Solomon by night, and saith to him, `I have heard thy prayer, and have fixed on this place to Me for a house of sacrifice.

13 S i cierro los cielos para que no haya lluvia, o si mando la langosta a devorar la tierra, o si envío la pestilencia entre Mi pueblo,

If I restrain the heavens and there is no rain, and if I lay charge on the locust to consume the land, and if I send pestilence among My people --

14 y se humilla Mi pueblo sobre el cual es invocado Mi nombre, y oran, buscan Mi rostro y se vuelven de sus malos caminos, entonces Yo oiré desde los cielos, perdonaré su pecado y sanaré su tierra.

and My people on whom My name is called be humbled, and pray, and seek My face, and turn back from their evil ways, then I -- I hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.

15 A hora Mis ojos estarán abiertos y Mis oídos atentos a la oración que se haga en este lugar,

`Now, Mine eyes are open, and Mine ears attentive, to the prayer of this place;

16 p ues ahora he escogido y consagrado esta casa para que Mi nombre esté allí para siempre, y Mis ojos y Mi corazón estarán allí todos los días.

and now, I have chosen and sanctified this house for My name being there unto the age; yea, Mine eyes and My heart have been there all the days.

17 Y en cuanto a ti, si andas delante de Mí como anduvo tu padre David, haciendo conforme a todo lo que te he mandado, y guardas Mis estatutos y Mis ordenanzas,

`And thou, if thou dost walk before Me as David thy father walked, even to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and My statutes and My judgments dost keep --

18 Y o afirmaré el trono de tu reino como pacté con tu padre David, diciendo: ‘No te faltará hombre que gobierne en Israel.’

then I have established the throne of thy kingdom, as I covenanted with David thy father, saying, There is not cut off a man to thee -- a ruler in Israel;

19 “ Pero si ustedes se apartan y abandonan Mis estatutos y Mis mandamientos que he puesto delante de ustedes, y van y sirven a otros dioses y los adoran,

and if ye turn back -- ye -- and have forsaken My statutes, and My commands, that I have placed before you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them -- then I have plucked them from off My ground that I have given to them,

20 Y o los arrancaré de Mi tierra que les he dado, y echaré de Mi presencia esta casa que he consagrado a Mi nombre, y la convertiré en refrán y escarnio entre todos los pueblos.

and this house that I have sanctified for My name, I cast from before My face, and make it for a proverb, and for a byword, among all the peoples.

21 Y en cuanto a esta casa, que ha sido exaltada, todo el que pase cerca de ella, se asombrará y dirá: ‘¿Por qué ha hecho así el Señor a esta tierra y a esta casa?’

`And this house that hath been high, to every one passing by it, is an astonishment, and he hath said, Wherefore hath Jehovah done thus to this land, and to this house?

22 Y responderán: ‘Porque abandonaron al Señor, Dios de sus padres, que los sacó de la tierra de Egipto, y tomaron otros dioses, los adoraron y los sirvieron; por eso El ha traído toda esta adversidad sobre ellos.’”

and they have said, Because that they have forsaken Jehovah, God of their fathers, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, and lay hold on other gods, and bow themselves to them, and serve them, therefore He hath brought upon them all this evil.'
