1 E ntonces David dijo: “¿Hay todavía alguien que haya quedado de la casa de Saúl, para que yo le muestre bondad por amor a Jonatán ?”

And David saith, `Is there yet any left to the house of Saul, and I do with him kindness because of Jonathan?'

2 Y había un siervo de la casa de Saúl que se llamaba Siba, y lo llamaron ante David. Y el rey le dijo: “¿Eres tú Siba?” “Su servidor,” respondió él.

And the house of Saul hath a servant, and his name Ziba, and they call for him unto David; and the king saith unto him, `Art thou Ziba?' and he saith, `Thy servant.'

3 Y el rey le preguntó: “¿No queda aún alguien de la casa de Saúl a quien yo pueda mostrar la bondad de Dios ?” Y Siba respondió al rey: “Aún queda un hijo de Jonatán lisiado de ambos pies.”

And the king saith, `Is there not yet a man to the house of Saul, and I do with him the kindness of God?' And Ziba saith unto the king, `Jonathan hath yet a son -- lame.'

4 “ ¿Dónde está él?” le preguntó el rey. Y Siba respondió al rey: “Está en casa de Maquir, hijo de Amiel, en Lodebar.”

And the king saith to him, `Where he?' and Ziba saith unto the king, `Lo, he in the house of Machir, son of Ammiel, in Lo-Debar.'

5 E ntonces el rey David mandó traerlo de la casa de Maquir, hijo de Amiel, de Lodebar.

And king David sendeth, and taketh him out of the house of Machir son of Ammiel, of Lo-Debar,

6 Y Mefiboset, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Saúl, vino a David, y cayendo sobre su rostro, se postró. Y David dijo: “Mefiboset.” “Su siervo,” respondió él.

and Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, son of Saul, cometh unto David, and falleth on his face, and doth obeisance, and David saith, `Mephibosheth;' and he saith, `Lo, thy servant.'

7 D avid le dijo: “No temas, porque ciertamente te mostraré bondad por amor a tu padre Jonatán, y te devolveré toda la tierra de tu abuelo Saúl; y tú comerás siempre a mi mesa.”

And David saith to him, `Be not afraid; for I certainly do with thee kindness because of Jonathan thy father, and have given back to thee all the field of Saul thy father, and thou dost eat bread at my table continually.'

8 E l se postró de nuevo, y dijo: “¿Quién es su siervo, para que tome en cuenta a un perro muerto como yo ?”

And he boweth himself, and saith, `What thy servant, that thou hast turned unto the dead dog -- such as I?'

9 E ntonces el rey llamó a Siba, siervo de Saúl, y le dijo: “Todo lo que pertenecía a Saúl y a su casa, lo he dado al nieto de tu señor.

And the king calleth unto Ziba servant of Saul, and saith unto him, `All that was to Saul and to all his house, I have given to the son of thy lord,

10 Y tú, tus hijos y tus siervos cultivarán la tierra para él, y le llevarás los frutos para que el nieto de tu señor tenga alimento. Sin embargo, Mefiboset, nieto de tu señor, comerá siempre a mi mesa.” Siba tenía quince hijos y veinte siervos.

and thou hast served for him the land, thou and thy sons, and thy servants, and hast brought in, and there hath been to the son of thy lord bread, and he hath eaten it; and Mephibosheth son of thy lord doth eat continually bread at my table;' and Ziba hath fifteen sons and twenty servants.

11 R espondió Siba al rey: “Conforme a todo lo que mi señor el rey mande a su siervo, así hará su siervo.” Y Mefiboset comió a la mesa de David como uno de los hijos del rey.

And Ziba saith unto the king, `According to all that my lord the king commandeth his servant, so doth thy servant;' as to Mephibosheth, `he is eating at my table () as one of the sons of the king.'

12 M efiboset tenía un hijo pequeño que se llamaba Micaía. Todos los que moraban en la casa de Siba eran siervos de Mefiboset.

And Mephibosheth hath a young son, and his name Micha, and every one dwelling in the house of Ziba servants to Mephibosheth.

13 P ero Mefiboset moraba en Jerusalén, porque siempre comía a la mesa del rey. Estaba lisiado de ambos pies.

And Mephibosheth is dwelling in Jerusalem, for at the table of the king he is eating continually, and he lame of his two feet.
