1 E n el año veintisiete de Jeroboam, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Azarías (Uzías), hijo de Amasías, rey de Judá.

In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned hath Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah,

2 T enía dieciséis años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó cincuenta y dos años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre era Jecolía, de Jerusalén.

a son of sixteen years was he in his reigning, and fifty and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Jecholiah of Jerusalem,

3 H izo lo recto ante los ojos del Señor, conforme a todo lo que su padre Amasías había hecho.

and he doth that which right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Amaziah his father did,

4 S ólo que los lugares altos no fueron quitados. El pueblo todavía sacrificaba y quemaba incienso en los lugares altos.

only, the high places have not turned aside -- yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places.

5 Y el Señor hirió al rey, y quedó leproso hasta el día de su muerte. Y habitó en una casa separada, mientras Jotam, hijo del rey, estaba al frente de la casa, gobernando al pueblo de la tierra.

And Jehovah smiteth the king, and he is a leper unto the day of his death, and he dwelleth in a separate house, and Jotham son of the king over the house, judging the people of the land.

And the rest of the matters of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

7 Y durmió Azarías con sus padres, y lo sepultaron con ellos en la ciudad de David, y su hijo Jotam reinó en su lugar. Varios Reyes de Israel

And Azariah lieth with his fathers, and they bury him with his fathers, in the city of David, and reign doth Jotham his son in his stead.

8 E n el año treinta y ocho de Azarías, rey de Judá, Zacarías, hijo de Jeroboam, reinó seis meses sobre Israel en Samaria.

In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah reigned hath Zechariah son of Jeroboam over Israel, in Samaria, six months,

9 H izo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, como habían hecho sus padres; no se apartó de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, as did his fathers, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

10 E ntonces Salum, hijo de Jabes, conspiró contra él y lo hirió delante del pueblo y lo mató, y reinó en su lugar.

And Shallum son of Jabesh conspireth against him, and smiteth him before the people, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.

11 L os demás hechos de Zacarías, están escritos en el Libro de las Crónicas de los reyes de Israel.

And the rest of the matters of Zechariah, lo, they are written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12 E sta es la palabra que el Señor habló a Jehú: “Tus hijos hasta la cuarta generación se sentarán en el trono de Israel.” Y así fue.

It the word of Jehovah that He spake unto Jehu, saying, `Sons of the fourth do sit for thee on the throne of Israel;' and it is so.

13 S alum, hijo de Jabes, comenzó a reinar en el año treinta y nueve de Uzías (Azarías), rey de Judá, y reinó un mes en Samaria.

Shallum son of Jabesh hath reigned in the thirty and ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigneth a month of days in Samaria;

14 E ntonces Manahem, hijo de Gadi, subió de Tirsa y vino a Samaria, e hirió a Salum, hijo de Jabes, en Samaria, y lo mató y reinó en su lugar.

and go up doth Menahem son of Gadi from Tirzah and cometh in to Samaria, and smiteth Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.

16 E ntonces Manahem hirió a Tifsa y a todos los que estaban en ella y en sus alrededores desde Tirsa, porque no le abrieron las puertas, por eso la hirió; y abrió el vientre a todas las mujeres que estaban encinta.

Then doth Menahem smite Tiphsah, and all who in it, and its borders from Tirzah, for it opened not, and he smiteth, all its pregnant women he hath ripped up.

17 E n el año treinta y nueve de Azarías, rey de Judá, Manahem, hijo de Gadi, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel; y reinó diez años en Samaria.

In the thirty and ninth year of Azariah king of Judah reigned hath Menahem son of Gadi over Israel -- ten years in Samaria.

18 H izo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor; en todos sus días no se apartó de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.

And he doth the evil in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath turned not aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin, all his days.

19 P ul (Tiglat Pileser III), rey de Asiria, vino contra el país, y Manahem dio a Pul 34 toneladas de plata para que su mano estuviera con él para fortalecer el reino bajo su mando.

Pul king of Asshur hath come against the land, and Menahem giveth to Pul a thousand talents of silver, for his hand being with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.

20 E ntonces Manahem exigió este dinero a Israel, a todos los ricos poderosos, de cada uno cincuenta siclos (570 gr) de plata para pagar al rey de Asiria. Y el rey de Asiria se volvió y no se detuvo allí en el país.

And Menahem bringeth out the silver Israel, all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Asshur, fifty shekels of silver for each one, and the king of Asshur turneth back and hath not stayed there in the land.

22 Y durmió Manahem con sus padres, y su hijo Pekaía reinó en su lugar.

And Menahem lieth with his fathers, and reign doth Pekahiah his son in his stead.

23 E n el año cincuenta de Azarías, rey de Judá, Pekaía, hijo de Manahem, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel en Samaria, y reinó dos años.

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah hath Pekahiah son of Menahem reigned over Israel, in Samaria -- two years,

24 H izo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor; no se apartó de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

25 E ntonces su oficial, Peka, hijo de Remalías, conspiró contra él y lo hirió en Samaria, en la ciudadela de la casa del rey, y también a Argob y a Arie; y con él estaban cincuenta hombres de los hijos de los Galaaditas. Lo mató y reinó en su lugar.

And Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, doth conspire against him, and smiteth him in Samaria, in the high place of the house of the king with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites, and he putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.

27 E n el año cincuenta y dos de Azarías, rey de Judá, Peka, hijo de Remalías, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel en Samaria, y reinó veinte años.

In the fifty and second year of Azariah king of Judah, reigned hath Pekah son of Remaliah over Israel, in Samaria -- twenty years,

28 H izo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor; no se apartó de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin.

29 E n los días de Peka, rey de Israel, vino Tiglat Pileser, rey de Asiria, y tomó Ijón, Abel Bet Maaca, Janoa, Cedes, Hazor, Galaad y Galilea, toda la tierra de Neftalí; y se los llevó cautivos a Asiria.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel hath Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur come, and taketh Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and removeth them to Asshur.

30 O seas, hijo de Ela, tramó una conspiración contra Peka, hijo de Remalías, y lo hirió y le dio muerte; y reinó en su lugar, en el año veinte de Jotam, hijo de Uzías.

And make a conspiracy doth Hoshea son of Elah against Pekah son of Remaliah, and smiteth him, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.

32 E n el segundo año de Peka, hijo de Remalías, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Jotam, hijo de Uzías, rey de Judá.

In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel reigned hath Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah.

33 T enía veinticinco años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dieciséis años en Jerusalén; y el nombre de su madre era Jerusa, hija de Sadoc.

A son of twenty and five years was he in his reigning, and sixteen years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Jerusha daughter of Zadok,

34 H izo lo recto ante los ojos del Señor; hizo conforme a todo lo que su padre Uzías había hecho.

and he doth that which right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Uzziah his father did he hath done.

35 S ólo que los lugares altos no fueron quitados. El pueblo todavía sacrificaba y quemaba incienso en los lugares altos. El edificó la puerta superior de la casa del Señor.

Only, the high places have not turned aside -- yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places; he hath built the high gate of the house of Jehovah.

36 L os demás hechos de Jotam y todo lo que hizo, ¿no están escritos en el Libro de las Crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

37 E n aquellos días el Señor comenzó a enviar a Rezín, rey de Aram, y a Peka, hijo de Remalías, contra Judá.

In those days hath Jehovah begun to send against Judah Rezin king of Amram and Pekah son of Remaliah.

38 J otam durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado con ellos en la ciudad de su padre David; y su hijo Acaz reinó en su lugar.

And Jotham lieth with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, and reign doth Ahaz his son in his stead.
