1 O h Señor, Tú me has escudriñado y conocido.

To the Overseer. -- A Psalm by David. Jehovah, Thou hast searched me, and knowest.

2 T ú conoces mi sentarme y mi levantarme; Desde lejos comprendes mis pensamientos.

Thou -- Thou hast known my sitting down, And my rising up, Thou hast attended to my thoughts from afar.

3 T ú escudriñas mi senda y mi descanso, Y conoces bien todos mis caminos.

My path and my couch Thou hast fanned, And all my ways hast been acquainted.

4 A un antes de que haya palabra en mi boca, Oh Señor, Tú ya la sabes toda.

For there is not a word in my tongue, Lo, O Jehovah, Thou hast known it all!

5 P or detrás y por delante me has cercado, Y Tu mano pusiste sobre mí.

Behind and before Thou hast besieged me, And Thou dost place on me Thy hand.

6 T al conocimiento es demasiado maravilloso para mí; Es muy elevado, no lo puedo alcanzar.

Knowledge too wonderful for me, It hath been set on high, I am not able for it.

7 ¿ Adónde me iré de Tu Espíritu, O adónde huiré de Tu presencia?

Whither do I go from Thy Spirit? And whither from Thy face do I flee?

8 S i subo a los cielos, allí estás Tú; Si en el Seol preparo mi lecho, allí Tú estás.

If I ascend the heavens -- there Thou, And spread out a couch in Sheol, lo, Thee!

9 S i tomo las alas del alba, Y si habito en lo más remoto del mar,

I take the wings of morning, I dwell in the uttermost part of the sea,

10 A un allí me guiará Tu mano, Y me tomará Tu diestra.

Also there Thy hand doth lead me, And Thy right hand doth hold me.

11 S i digo: “Ciertamente las tinieblas me envolverán, Y la luz a mi alrededor será noche;”

And I say, `Surely darkness bruiseth me, Then night light to me.

12 N i aun las tinieblas son oscuras para Ti, Y la noche brilla como el día. Las tinieblas y la luz son iguales para Ti.

Also darkness hideth not from Thee, And night as day shineth, as darkness so light.

13 P orque Tú formaste mis entrañas; Me hiciste en el seno de mi madre.

For Thou -- Thou hast possessed my reins, Thou dost cover me in my mother's belly.

14 T e daré gracias, porque asombrosa y maravillosamente he sido hecho; Maravillosas son Tus obras, Y mi alma lo sabe muy bien.

I confess Thee, because that wonders I have been distinguished. Wonderful Thy works, And my soul is knowing well.

15 N o estaba oculto de Ti mi cuerpo, Cuando en secreto fui formado, Y entretejido en las profundidades de la tierra.

My substance was not hid from Thee, When I was made in secret, Curiously wrought in the lower part of earth.

16 T us ojos vieron mi embrión, Y en Tu libro se escribieron todos Los días que me fueron dados, Cuando no existía ni uno solo de ellos.

Mine unformed substance Thine eyes saw, And on Thy book all of them are written, The days they were formed -- And not one among them.

17 ¡ Cuán preciosos también son para mí, oh Dios, Tus pensamientos! ¡Cuán inmensa es la suma de ellos!

And to me how precious have been Thy thoughts, O God, how great hath been their sum!

18 S i los contara, serían más que la arena; Al despertar aún estoy contigo.

I recount them! than the sand they are more, I have waked, and I am still with Thee.

19 ¡ Oh Dios, si Tú hicieras morir al impío! Por tanto, apártense de mí, hombres sanguinarios.

Dost Thou slay, O God, the wicked? Then, men of blood, turn aside from me!

20 P orque hablan contra Ti perversamente, Y Tus enemigos toman Tu nombre en vano.

Who exchange Thee for wickedness, Lifted up to vanity Thine enemies.

21 ¿ No odio a los que Te aborrecen, Señor ? ¿Y no me repugnan los que se levantan contra Ti?

Do not I hate, Jehovah, those hating Thee? And with Thy withstanders grieve myself?

22 L os aborrezco con el más profundo odio; Se han convertido en mis enemigos.

perfect hatred I have hated them, Enemies they have become to me.

23 E scudríñame, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazón; Pruébame y conoce mis inquietudes.

Search me, O God, and know my heart, Try me, and know my thoughts,

24 Y ve si hay en mí camino malo, Y guíame en el camino eterno.

And see if a grievous way be in me, And lead me in a way age-during!
