1 V olvió David a reunir a todos los hombres escogidos de Israel, treinta mil.

And David gathered again every chosen one in Israel, thirty thousand,

2 Y David se levantó y fue con todo el pueblo que estaba con él a Baala de Judá, para hacer subir desde allí el arca de Dios, la cual es llamada por el Nombre, el nombre del Señor de los ejércitos, que está sobre los querubines.

and David riseth and goeth, and all the people who with him, from Baale-Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God, whose name hath been called -- the name of Jehovah of Hosts, inhabiting the cherubs -- upon it.

3 P usieron el arca de Dios sobre un carro nuevo, para que la pudieran llevar de la casa de Abinadab que estaba en la colina. Uza y Ahío, hijos de Abinadab, guiaban el carro nuevo.

And they cause the ark of God to ride on a new cart, and lift it up from the house of Abinadab, which in the height, and Uzzah and Ahio sons of Abinadab are leading the new cart;

4 Y lo llevaron con el arca de Dios de la casa de Abinadab que estaba en la colina, y Ahío iba delante del arca.

and they lift it up from the house of Abinadab, which in the height, with the ark of God, and Ahio is going before the ark,

5 D avid y toda la casa de Israel se regocijaban delante del Señor con toda clase de instrumentos hechos de madera de abeto, y con liras, arpas, panderos, castañuelas y címbalos.

and David and all the house of Israel are playing before Jehovah, with all kinds of of fir-wood, even with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cornets, and with cymbals.

6 P ero cuando llegaron a la era de Nacón, Uza extendió la mano hacia el arca de Dios, y la sostuvo porque los bueyes casi la volcaron.

And they come unto the threshing-floor of Nachon, and Uzzah putteth forth unto the ark of God, and layeth hold on it, for they released the oxen;

7 Y se encendió la ira del Señor contra Uza, y Dios lo hirió allí por su irreverencia; y allí murió junto al arca de Dios.

and the anger of Jehovah burneth against Uzzah, and God smiteth him there for the error, and he dieth there by the ark of God.

8 E ntonces David se enojó porque el Señor había estallado en ira contra Uza, y llamó aquel lugar Pérez Uza hasta el día de hoy.

And it is displeasing to David, because that Jehovah hath broken forth a breach upon Uzzah, and calleth that place Perez-Uzzah, unto this day;

9 D avid tuvo temor del Señor aquel día, y dijo: “¿Cómo podrá venir a mí el arca del Señor ?”

and David feareth Jehovah on that day, and saith, `How doth the ark of Jehovah come in unto me?'

10 Y David no quiso trasladar el arca del Señor con él a la ciudad de David, sino que la hizo llevar a la casa de Obed Edom el Geteo.

And David hath not been willing to turn aside unto himself the ark of Jehovah, to the city of David, and David turneth it aside to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite,

11 P or tres meses permaneció el arca del Señor en la casa de Obed Edom el Geteo; y bendijo el Señor a Obed Edom y a toda su casa.

and the ark of Jehovah doth inhabit the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months, and Jehovah blesseth Obed-Edom and all his house.

12 Y se dio aviso al rey David: “El Señor ha bendecido la casa de Obed Edom y todo lo que le pertenece a causa del arca de Dios.” Entonces David fue, y con alegría hizo subir el arca de Dios de la casa de Obed Edom a la ciudad de David.

And it is declared to king David, saying, `Jehovah hath blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that he hath, because of the ark of God;' and David goeth and bringeth up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the city of David with joy.

13 Y cuando los portadores del arca del Señor habían andado seis pasos, David sacrificó un buey y un carnero cebado.

And it cometh to pass, when those bearing the ark of Jehovah have stepped six steps, that he sacrificeth an ox and a fatling.

14 D avid danzaba con toda su fuerza delante del Señor, y estaba vestido con un efod de lino.

And David is dancing with all strength before Jehovah, and David is girded with a linen ephod,

15 D avid y toda la casa de Israel hacían subir el arca del Señor con aclamación y sonido de trompeta.

and David and all the house of Israel are bringing up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the voice of a trumpet,

16 S ucedió que cuando el arca del Señor entraba a la ciudad de David, Mical, hija de Saúl, miró desde la ventana y vio al rey David saltando y danzando delante del Señor, y lo despreció en su corazón.

and it hath come to pass, the ark of Jehovah hath come in to the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul, hath looked through the window, and seeth king David moving and dancing before Jehovah, and despiseth him in her heart.

17 M etieron el arca del Señor y la colocaron en su lugar dentro de la tienda que David había levantado para ella, y David ofreció holocaustos y ofrendas de paz delante del Señor.

And they bring in the ark of Jehovah, and set it up in its place, in the midst of the tent which David hath spread out for it, and David causeth to ascend burnt-offerings before Jehovah, and peace-offerings.

18 C uando David terminó de ofrecer el holocausto y las ofrendas de paz, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre del Señor de los ejércitos.

And David finisheth from causing to ascend the burnt-offering, and the peace-offerings, and blesseth the people in the name of Jehovah of Hosts,

19 D espués repartió a todo el pueblo, a toda la multitud de Israel, tanto a hombres como a mujeres, una torta de pan, una de dátiles y una de pasas a cada uno. Entonces todo el pueblo se fue, cada uno a su casa.

and he apportioneth to all the people, to all the multitude of Israel, from man even unto woman, to each, one cake of bread, and one eshpar, and one ashisha, and all the people go, each to his house.

20 P ero al regresar David para bendecir su casa, Mical, hija de Saúl, salió al encuentro de David, y le dijo: “¡Cómo se ha distinguido hoy el rey de Israel! Se descubrió hoy ante los ojos de las criadas de sus siervos, como se descubriría sin decoro un insensato.”

And David turneth back to bless his house, and Michal daughter of Saul goeth out to meet David, and saith, `How honourable to-day was the king of Israel, who was uncovered to-day before the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain ones is openly uncovered!'

21 Y David dijo a Mical: “ Eso fue delante del Señor que me escogió en preferencia a tu padre y a toda su casa para constituirme por príncipe sobre el pueblo del Señor, sobre Israel. Por tanto, lo celebraré delante del Señor.

And David saith unto Michal, `-- Before Jehovah, who fixed on me above thy father, and above all his house, to appoint me leader over the people of Jehovah, and over Israel, -- yea, I played before Jehovah;

22 Y aún seré menos estimado que esto, y seré humillado ante mis propios ojos, pero con las criadas de quienes has hablado, ante ellas seré honrado.”

and I have been more vile than this, and have been low in mine eyes, and with the handmaids whom thou hast spoken of, with them I am honoured.'

23 Y Mical, hija de Saúl, no tuvo hijos hasta el día de su muerte.

As to Michal daughter of Saul, she had no child till the day of her death.
