1 U nd das Los fiel den Kindern Joseph aufgangwärts vom Jordan gegenüber Jericho bis zum Wasser bei Jericho, und die Wüste, die heraufgeht von Jericho durch das Gebirge gen Beth-El;

And the lot for the sons of Joseph goeth out from Jordan Jericho, to the waters of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness going up from Jericho in the hill-country of Beth-El,

2 u nd kommt von Beth-El heraus gen Lus und geht durch zur Grenze des Arachiters gen Ataroth

and hath gone out from Beth-El to Luz, and passed over unto the border of Archi Ataroth,

3 u nd zieht sich hernieder abendwärts zu der Grenze des Japhletiters bis an die Grenze des niederen Beth-Horon und bis gen Geser; und das Ende ist am Meer.

and gone down westward unto the border of Japhleti, unto the border of Beth-Horon the lower, and unto Gezer, and its outgoings have been at the sea.

4 D as haben zum Erbteil genommen die Kinder Josephs, Manasse und Ephraim.

And the sons of Joseph -- Manasseh and Ephraim -- inherit.

5 D ie Grenze der Kinder Ephraim nach ihren Geschlechtern, die Grenze ihres Erbteils aufgangwärts, war Ataroth-Adar bis zum obern Beth-Horon

And the border of the sons of Ephraim is by their families; and the border of their inheritance is on the east, Atroth-Addar unto Beth-Horon the upper;

6 u nd geht aus gegen Abend bei Michmethath, das gegen Mitternacht liegt; daselbst lenkt sie sich herum gegen Aufgang gen Thaanath-Silo und geht da durch aufgangwärts gen Janoha

and the border hath gone out at the sea, to Michmethah on the north, and the border hath gone round eastward Taanath-Shiloh, and passed over it eastward to Janohah,

7 u nd kommt herab von Janoha gen Ataroth und Naarath und stößt an Jericho und geht aus am Jordan;

and gone down from Janohah Ataroth, and to Naarath, and touched against Jericho, and gone out at the Jordan.

8 v on Thappuah geht sie abendwärts zum Bach Kana; und ihr Ende ist am Meer. Das ist das Erbteil des Stammes der Kinder Ephraim nach ihren Geschlechtern.

From Tappuah the border goeth westward unto the brook of Kanah, and its outgoings have been at the sea: this the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, for their families.

9 d azu alle Städte mit ihren Dörfern, welche für die Kinder Ephraim ausgesondert waren unter dem Erbteil der Kinder Manasse.

And the separate cities of the sons of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities and their villages;

10 U nd sie vertrieben die Kanaaniter nicht, die zu Geser wohnten; also blieben die Kanaaniter unter Ephraim bis auf diesen Tag und wurden zinsbar.

and they have not dispossessed the Canaanite who is dwelling in Gezer, and the Canaanite dwelleth in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and is to tribute -- a servant.
