1 U nd das ganze Israel ward aufgezeichnet, und siehe, sie sind aufgeschrieben im Buch der Könige Israels; und Juda ward weggeführt gen Babel um seiner Missetat willen.

And all Israel have reckoned themselves by genealogy, and lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah -- they were removed to Babylon for their trespass.

2 U nd die zuerst wohnten auf ihren Gütern und Städten, waren Israel, Priester, Leviten und Tempelknechte.

And the first inhabitants, who in their possession, in their cities, of Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.

3 U nd zu Jerusalem wohnten etliche der Kinder Juda, etliche der Kinder Benjamin, etliche der Kinder Ephraim und Manasse:

And in Jerusalem dwelt of the sons of Judah, and of the sons of Benjamin, and of the sons of Ephraim and Manasseh:

4 n ämlich aus den Kindern des Perez, des Sohnes Juda's, war Uthai, der Sohn Ammihuds, des Sohnes Omris, des Sohnes Imris, des Sohnes Banis,

Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, of the sons of Pharez, son of Judah.

5 v on den Selaniter aber Asaja, der erste Sohn, und seine Söhne,

And of the Shilonite: Asaiah the first-born, and his sons.

6 v on den Kindern Serah: Jeguel und seine Brüder, sechshundertundneunzig;

And of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

7 v on den Kindern Benjamin: Sallu, der Sohn Mesullams, des Sohnes Hodavjas, des Sohnes Hasnuas,

And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah,

8 u nd Jibneja, der Sohn Jerohams, und Ela, der Sohn Usis, des Sohnes Michris, und Mesullam, der Sohn Sephatjas, des Sohnes Reguels, des Sohnes Jibnejas,

and Ibneiah son of Jeroham, and Elah son of Uzzi, son of Michri, and Meshullam son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibnijah.

9 d azu ihre Brüder in ihren Geschlechtern, neunhundertsechsundfünfzig. Alle diese Männer waren Häupter in ihren Vaterhäusern.

And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men, heads of fathers, according to the house of their fathers.

10 V on den Priestern aber: Jedaja, Jojarib, Jachin

And of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,

11 u nd Asarja, der Sohn Hilkias, des Sohnes Mesullams, des Sohnes Zadoks, des Sohnes Merajoths, des Sohnes Ahitobs, ein Fürst im Hause Gottes,

and Azariah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, leader in the house of God;

12 u nd Adaja, der Sohn Jerohams, des Sohnes Pashurs, des Sohnes Malchias, und Maesai, der Sohn Abdiels, des Sohnes Jahseras, des Sohnes Mesullams, des Sohnes Mesillemiths, des Sohnes Immers,

and Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah, and Maasai son of Adiel, son of Jahzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer.

13 d azu ihre Brüder, Häupter ihrer Vaterhäuser, tausendsiebenhundert und sechzig, tüchtige Leute im Geschäft des Amtes im Hause Gottes.

And their brethren, heads to the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and sixty, mighty in valour, for the work of the service of the house of God.

14 V on den Leviten aber aus den Kinder Meraris: Semaja, der Sohn Hassubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Hasabjas,

And of the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hashshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

15 u nd Bakbakkar, Heres und Galal und Matthanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sichris, des Sohnes Asaphs,

and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah son of Micah, son of Zichri, son of Asaph;

16 u nd Obadja, der Sohn Semajas, des Sohnes Galals, des Sohnes Jeduthuns, und Berechja, der Sohn Asas, des Sohnes Elkanas, der in den Dörfern der Netophathiter wohnte.

and Obadiah son of Shemariah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah, son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who is dwelling in the villages of the Netophathite.

17 D ie Pförtner aber waren: Sallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman mit ihren Brüdern; und Sallum war der Oberste,

And the gatekeepers Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren -- Shallum the head;

18 u nd er hat bisher am Tor des Königs gegen Aufgang gewartet. Dies sind die Pförtner in den Lagern der Kinder Levi.

and hitherto they at the gate of the king eastward; they the gatekeepers for the companies of the sons of Levi.

19 U nd Sallum, der Sohn Kores, des Sohnes Abiasaphs, des Sohnes Korahs, und seine Brüder aus seinem Vaterhause, die Korahiter, waren im Geschäft des Amts, daß sie warteten an der Schwelle der Hütte, wie auch ihre Väter im Lager des HERRN des Eingangs gewartet hatten.

And Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, and their fathers over the camp of Jehovah, keepers of the entrance;

20 P inehas aber, der Sohn Eleasars, war vorzeiten Fürst über sie, darum daß der HERR mit ihm gewesen war.

and Phinehas son of Eleazar hath been leader over them formerly; Jehovah with him.

21 S acharja aber, der Sohn Meselemjas, war Hüter am Tor der Hütte des Stifts.

22 A lle diese waren auserlesen zu Hütern an der Schwelle, zweihundertundzwölf; die waren aufgezeichnet in ihren Dörfern. Und David und Samuel, der Seher, setzten sie ein auf Glauben,

All of those who are chosen for gatekeepers at the thresholds two hundred and twelve; they in their villages, by their genealogy; they whom David and Samuel the seer appointed in their office.

23 d aß sie und ihre Kinder hüten sollten die Tore am Hause des HERRN, nämlich an dem Hause der Hütte, daß sie sein warteten.

And they and their sons over the gates of the house of Jehovah, even of the house of the tent, by watches.

24 E s waren aber solche Torwächter gegen die vier Winde gestellt: gegen Morgen, gegen Abend, gegen Mitternacht, gegen Mittag.

At four sides are the gatekeepers, east, west, north, and south.

25 I hre Brüder aber waren auf ihren Dörfern, daß sie hereinkämen allezeit je des siebenten Tages, bei ihnen zu sein,

And their brethren in their villages to come in for seven days from time to time with these.

26 D enn auf Glauben waren diese die vier obersten Torhüter. Und die Leviten waren über die Kammern und Schätze im Hause Gottes.

For in office the four chiefs of the gatekeepers, they are Levites, and they have been over the chambers, and over the treasuries of the house of God,

27 A uch blieben sie über Nacht um das Haus Gottes; denn es gebührte ihnen die Hut, daß sie alle Morgen auftäten.

and round about the house of God they lodge, for on them the watch, and they over the opening, even morning by morning.

28 U nd etliche aus ihnen waren über das Gerät des Amts; denn sie trugen's gezählt aus und ein.

And of them over the vessels of service, for by number they bring them in, and by number they take them out.

29 u nd ihrer etliche waren bestellt über die Gefäße und über alles heilige Gerät, über Semmelmehl, über Wein, über Öl, über Weihrauch, über Spezereien.

And of them are appointed over the vessels, even over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

30 U nd der Priester Kinder machten etliche das Salböl mit Spezereien.

And of the sons of the priests are mixing the mixture for spices.

31 U nd Matthithja, aus den Leviten, dem ersten Sohn Sallums, des Korahiters, waren vertraut die Pfannen.

And Mattithiah, of the Levites (he the first-born to Shallum the Korahite), in office over the work of the pans.

32 A us den Kahathitern aber, ihren Brüdern, waren etliche über die Schaubrote, sie zuzurichten auf alle Sabbate.

And of the sons of the Kohathite, of their brethren over the bread of the arrangement, to prepare sabbath by sabbath.

33 J ene aber sind die Sänger, die Häupter der Vaterhäuser der Leviten, die in den Kammern keinen Dienst hatten; denn Tag und Nacht waren sie in ihrem Geschäft.

And these who sing, heads of fathers of the Levites, in the chambers, free, for by day and by night over them in the work.

34 D as sind die Häupter der Vaterhäuser unter den Leviten in ihren Geschlechtern. Diese wohnten zu Jerusalem.

These heads of the fathers of the Levites throughout their generations heads. These have dwelt in Jerusalem.

35 Z u Gibeon wohnten Jeiel, der Vater Gibeons; sein Weib hieß Maacha

And in Gibeon dwelt hath the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, and the name of his wife Maachah;

36 u nd sein erster Sohn Abdon, Zur, Kis, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

and his son, the first-born, Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

37 G edor, Ahjo, Sacharja, Mikloth;

and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

38 M ikloth aber zeugte Simeam. Und sie wohnten auch ihren Brüdern gegenüber zu Jerusalem unter den Ihren.

And Mikloth begat Shimeam, and they also, over-against their brethren, have dwelt in Jerusalem with their brethren.

39 N er aber zeugte Kis. Kis zeugte Saul. Saul zeugte Jonathan, Malchisua, Abinadab, Esbaal.

And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi-Shua, and Abinadab, and Esh-Baal.

40 D er Sohn aber Jonathans war Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal aber zeugte Micha.

And a son of Jonathan Merib-Baal, and Merib-Baal begat Micah.

41 D ie Kinder Michas waren: Pithon, Melech und Tharea.

And sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea,

42 A has zeugte Jaera. Jaera zeugte Alemeth, Asmaveth und Simmri. Simmri zeugte Moza.

and Ahaz -- he begat Jaarah, and Jaarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri, and Zimri begat Moza,

43 M oza zeugte Binea; des Sohn war Raphaja; des Sohn war Eleasa; des Sohn war Azel.

and Moza begat Binea, and Rephaiah his son. Eleasah his son, Azel his son.

44 A zel aber hatte sechs Söhne; die hießen: Asrikam, Bochru, Ismael, Searja, Obadja, Hanan. Das sind die Kinder Azels.

And to Azel six sons, and these their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these sons of Azel.
