1 D u sollst einen Altar machen von Akazienholz, fünf Ellen lang und breit, daß er gleich viereckig sei, und drei Ellen hoch.

`And thou hast made the altar of shittim wood, five cubits the length, and five cubits the breadth -- the altar is square -- and three cubits its height.

2 H örner sollst du auf seinen vier Ecken machen und sollst ihn mit Erz überziehen.

And thou hast made its horns on its four corners, its horns are of the same, and thou hast overlaid it brass.

3 M ache auch Aschentöpfe, Schaufeln, Becken, Gabeln, Kohlenpfannen; alle seine Geräte sollst du aus Erz machen.

And thou hast made its pots to remove its ashes, and its shovels, and its bowls, and its forks, and its fire-pans, even all its vessels thou dost make of brass.

4 D u sollst auch ein ehernes Gitter machen wie ein Netz und vier eherne Ringe an seine vier Enden.

`And thou hast made for it a grate of net-work of brass, and hast made on the net four rings of brass on its four extremities,

5 D u sollst's aber von untenauf um den Altar machen, daß das Gitter reiche bis mitten an den Altar.

and hast put it under the compass of the altar beneath, and the net hath been unto the middle of the altar.

6 U nd sollst auch Stangen machen zu dem Altar von Akazienholz, mit Erz überzogen.

`And thou hast made staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and hast overlaid them brass.

7 U nd man soll die Stangen in die Ringe tun, daß die Stangen seien an beiden Seiten des Altars, wenn man ihn trägt.

And the staves have been brought into the rings, and the staves have been on the two sides of the altar in bearing it.

8 U nd sollst ihn also von Brettern machen, daß er inwendig hohl sei, wie dir auf dem Berge gezeigt ist.

Hollow with boards thou dost make it, as it hath been shewed thee in the mount, so do they make.

9 D u sollst auch der Wohnung einen Hof machen, einen Umhang von gezwirnter weißer Leinwand, auf einer Seite hundert Ellen lang, gegen Mittag,

`And thou hast made the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward, hangings for the court of twined linen, a hundred by the cubit the length for the one side,

10 u nd zwanzig Säulen auf zwanzig ehernen Füßen, und ihre Haken mit ihren Querstäben von Silber.

and its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass, the pegs of the pillars and their fillets of silver;

11 A lso auch gegen Mitternacht soll sein ein Umhang, hundert Ellen lang, zwanzig Säulen auf zwanzig ehernen Füßen, und ihre Haken mit ihren Querstäben von Silber.

and so for the north side in length, hangings of a hundred in length, and its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass, the pegs of the pillars and their fillets of silver.

12 A ber gegen Abend soll die Breite des Hofes haben einen Umhang, fünfzig Ellen lang, zehn Säulen auf zehn Füßen.

`And the breadth of the court at the west side hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.

13 G egen Morgen aber soll die Breite des Hofes haben fünfzig Ellen,

And the breadth of the court at the east side, eastward, fifty cubits.

14 a lso daß der Umhang habe auf einer Seite fünfzehn Ellen, dazu drei Säulen auf drei Füßen,

And the hangings at the side fifteen cubits, their pillars three, and their sockets three.

15 u nd wieder fünfzehn Ellen auf der andern Seite, dazu drei Säulen auf drei Füßen;

And at the second side hangings fifteen, their pillars three, and their sockets three.

16 a ber im Tor des Hofes soll ein Tuch sein, zwanzig Ellen breit, gewirkt von blauem und rotem Purpur, Scharlach und gezwirnter weißer Leinwand, dazu vier Säulen auf ihren vier Füßen.

`And for the gate of the court a covering of twenty cubits, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, work of an embroiderer; their pillars four, their sockets four.

17 A lle Säulen um den Hof her sollen silberne Querstäbe und silberne Haken und eherne Füße haben.

All the pillars of the court round about filleted silver, their pegs silver, and their sockets brass.

18 U nd die Länge des Hofes soll hundert Ellen sein, die Breite fünfzig Ellen, die Höhe fünf Ellen, von gezwirnter weißer Leinwand, und seine Füße sollen ehern sein.

`The length of the court a hundred by the cubit, and the breadth fifty by fifty, and the height five cubits, of twined linen, and their sockets brass,

19 A uch alle Geräte der Wohnung zu allerlei Amt und alle ihre Nägel und alle Nägel des Hofes sollen ehern sein.

even all the vessels of the tabernacle, in all its service, and all its pins, and all the pins of the court, brass.

20 G ebiete den Kindern Israel, daß sie zu dir bringen das allerreinste, lautere Öl von Ölbäumen, gestoßen, zur Leuchte, daß man täglich Lampen aufsetze

`And thou -- thou dost command the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee pure beaten olive oil for the light, to cause the lamp to go up continually;

21 i n der Hütte des Stifts, außen vor dem Vorhang, der vor dem Zeugnis hängt. Und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen sie zurichten des Morgens und des Abends vor dem HERRN. Das soll euch eine ewige Weise sein auf eure Nachkommen unter den Kindern Israel.

in the tent of meeting, at the outside of the vail, which over the testimony, doth Aaron -- his sons also -- arrange it from evening till morning before Jehovah -- a statute age-during to their generations, from the sons of Israel.
