1 E s soll kein Zerstoßener noch Verschnittener in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen.

`One wounded, bruised, or cut in the member doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah;

2 E s soll auch kein Hurenkind in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen, auch nach dem zehnten Glied, sondern soll allewege nicht in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen.

a bastard doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even a tenth generation of him doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

3 D ie Ammoniter und Moabiter sollen nicht in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen, auch nach dem zehnten Glied; sondern sie sollen nimmermehr hineinkommen,

`An Ammonite and a Moabite doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even a tenth generation of them doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah -- to the age;

4 d arum daß sie euch nicht entgegenkamen mit Brot und Wasser auf dem Wege, da ihr aus Ägypten zoget, vielmehr wider euch dingten den Bileam, den Sohn Beors von Pethor aus Mesopotamien, daß er dich verfluchen sollte.

because that they have not come before you with bread and with water in the way, in your coming out from Egypt, and because he hath hired against thee Balaam son of Beor, of Pethor of Aram-Naharaim, to revile thee;

5 A ber der HERR, dein Gott, wollte Bileam nicht hören und wandelte dir den Fluch in den Segen, darum, daß dich der HERR, dein Gott, liebhatte.

and Jehovah thy God hath not been willing to hearken unto Balaam, and Jehovah thy God doth turn for thee the reviling to a blessing, because Jehovah thy God hath loved thee;

6 D u sollst nicht ihren Frieden noch ihr Bestes suchen dein Leben lang ewiglich.

thou dost not seek their peace and their good all thy days -- to the age.

7 D en Edomiter sollst du nicht für eine Greuel halten; er ist dein Bruder. Den Ägypter sollst du auch nicht für einen Greuel halten; denn du bist ein Fremdling in seinem Lande gewesen.

`Thou dost not abominate an Edomite, for thy brother he; thou dost not abominate an Egyptian, for a sojourner thou hast been in his land;

8 D ie Kinder, die sie im dritten Glied zeugen, sollen in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen.

sons who are begotten of them, a third generation of them, doth enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

9 W enn du ausziehst wider deine Feinde und ein Lager aufschlägst, so hüte dich vor allem Bösen.

`When a camp goeth out against thine enemies, then thou hast kept from every evil thing.

10 W enn jemand unter dir ist, der nicht rein ist, daß ihm des Nachts etwas widerfahren ist, der soll hinaus vor das Lager gehen und nicht wieder hineinkommen,

`When there is in thee a man who is not clean, from an accident at night -- then he hath gone out unto the outside of the camp -- he doth not come in unto the midst of the camp --

11 b is er vor abends sich mit Wasser bade; und wenn die Sonne untergegangen ist, soll er wieder ins Lager gehen.

and it hath been, at the turning of the evening, he doth bathe with water, and at the going in of the sun he doth come in unto the midst of the camp.

12 U nd du sollst draußen vor dem Lager einen Ort haben, dahin du zur Not hinausgehst.

`And a station thou hast at the outside of the camp, and thou hast gone out thither without,

13 U nd sollst eine Schaufel haben, und wenn du dich draußen setzen willst, sollst du damit graben; und wenn du gesessen hast, sollst du zuscharren, was von dir gegangen ist.

and a nail thou hast on thy staff, and it hath been, in thy sitting without, that thou hast digged with it, and turned back, and covered thy filth;

14 D enn der HERR, dein Gott, wandelt unter deinem Lager, daß er dich errette und gebe deine Feinde vor dir dahin. Darum soll dein Lager heilig sein, daß nichts Schändliches unter dir gesehen werde und er sich von dir wende.

for Jehovah thy God is walking up and down in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give thine enemies before thee, and thy camp hath been holy, and He doth not see in thee the nakedness of anything, and hath turned back from after thee.

15 D u sollst den Knecht nicht seinem Herrn überantworten, der von ihm zu dir sich entwandt hat.

`Thou dost not shut up a servant unto his lord, who is delivered unto thee from his lord;

16 E r soll bei dir bleiben an dem Ort, den er erwählt in deiner Tore einem, wo es ihm gefällt; und sollst ihn nicht schinden.

with thee he doth dwell, in thy midst, in the place which he chooseth within one of thy gates, where it is pleasing to him; thou dost not oppress him.

17 E s soll keine Hure sein unter den Töchtern Israels und kein Hurer unter den Söhnen Israels.

`There is not a whore among the daughters of Israel, nor is there a whoremonger among the sons of Israel;

18 D u sollst keinen Hurenlohn noch Hundegeld in das Haus des HERRN, deines Gottes, bringen aus irgend einem Gelübde; denn das ist dem HERRN, deinem Gott, beides ein Greuel.

thou dost not bring a gift of a whore, or a price of a dog, into the house of Jehovah thy God, for any vow; for the abomination of Jehovah thy God even both of them.

19 D u sollst von deinem Bruder nicht Zinsen nehmen, weder Geld noch mit Speise noch mit allem, womit man wuchern kann.

`Thou dost not lend in usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of food, usury of anything which is lent on usury.

20 V on den Fremden magst du Zinsen nehmen, aber nicht von deinem Bruder, auf daß dich der HERR, dein Gott, segne in allem, was du vornimmst in dem Lande, dahin du kommst, es einzunehmen.

To a stranger thou mayest lend in usury, and to thy brother thou dost not lend in usury, so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in every putting forth of thy hand on the land whither thou goest in to possess it.

21 W enn du dem HERRN ein Gelübde tust, so sollst du es nicht verziehen zu halten; denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird's von dir fordern, und es wird dir Sünde sein.

`When thou vowest a vow to Jehovah thy God, thou dost not delay to complete it; for Jehovah thy God doth certainly require it from thee, and it hath been in thee -- sin.

22 W enn du das Geloben unterwegs läßt, so ist dir's keine Sünde.

`And when thou forbearest to vow, it is not in thee a sin.

23 A ber was zu deinen Lippen ausgegangen ist, sollst du halten und darnach tun, wie du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, freiwillig gelobt hast, was du mit deinem Munde geredet hast.

The produce of thy lips thou dost keep, and hast done, as thou hast vowed to Jehovah thy God; a free-will-offering, which thou hast spoken with thy mouth.

24 W enn du in deines Nächsten Weinberg gehst, so magst du Trauben essen nach deinem Willen, bis du satt hast; aber du sollst nichts in dein Gefäß tun

`When thou comest in unto the vineyard of thy neighbour, then thou hast eaten grapes, according to thy desire, thy sufficiency; but into thy vessel thou dost not put.

25 W enn du in die Saat deines Nächsten gehst, so magst du mit der Hand Ähren abrupfen; aber mit der Sichel sollst du nicht darin hin und her fahren.

When thou comest in among the standing-corn of thy neighbour, then thou hast plucked the ears with thy hand, but a sickle thou dost not wave over the standing-corn of thy neighbour.
