1 U nd es versammelte sich die ganze Gemeinde der Kinder Israel gen Silo und richteten daselbst auf die Hütte des Stifts, und das Land war ihnen unterworfen.

And all the company of the sons of Israel are assembled Shiloh, and they cause the tent of meeting to tabernacle there, and the land hath been subdued before them.

2 U nd es waren noch sieben Stämme der Kinder Israel, denen sie ihr Erbteil nicht ausgeteilt hatten.

And there are left among the sons of Israel who have not shared their inheritance, seven tribes,

3 U nd Josua sprach zu den Kinder Israel: Wie lange seid ihr so laß, daß ihr nicht hingeht, das Land einzunehmen, das euch der HERR, euer Väter Gott, gegeben hat?

and Joshua saith unto the sons of Israel, `Till when are ye remiss to go in to possess the land which He hath given to you, Jehovah, God of your fathers?

4 S chafft euch aus jeglichem Stamm drei Männer, daß ich sie sende und sie sich aufmachen und durchs Land gehen und es aufschreiben nach ihren Erbteilen und zu mir kommen.

Give for you three men for a tribe, and I send them, and they rise and go up and down through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and come in unto me,

5 T eilt das Land in sieben Teile. Juda soll bleiben auf seiner Grenze von Mittag her, und das Haus Josephs soll bleiben auf seiner Grenze von Mitternacht her.

and they have divided it into seven portions -- Judah doth stay by its border on the south, and the house of Joseph do stay by their border on the north --

6 I hr aber schreibt die sieben Teile der Lande auf und bringt sie zu mir hierher, so will ich euch das Los werfen hier vor dem HERRN, unserm Gott.

and ye describe the land seven portions, and have brought in unto me hither, and I have cast for you a lot here before Jehovah our God;

7 D enn die Leviten haben kein Teil unter euch, sondern das Priestertum des HERRN ist ihr Erbteil. Gad aber und Ruben und der halbe Stamm Manasse haben ihr Teil genommen jenseit des Jordans, gegen Morgen, das ihnen Mose, der Knecht Gottes, gegeben hat.

for there is no portion to the Levites in your midst, for the priesthood of Jehovah their inheritance, and Gad, and Reuben, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses servant of Jehovah gave to them.'

8 D a machten sich die Männer auf, daß sie hingingen; und Josua gebot ihnen, da sie hin wollten gehen, das Land aufzuschreiben, und sprach: Gehet hin und durchwandelt das Land und schreibt es auf und kommt wieder zu mir, daß ich euch hier das Los werfe vor dem HERRN zu Silo.

And the men rise and go; and Joshua commandeth those who are going to describe the land, saying, `Go, and walk up and down through the land, and describe it, and turn back unto me, and here I cast for you a lot before Jehovah in Shiloh.'

9 A lso gingen die Männer hin und durchzogen das Land und schrieben es auf in einen Brief nach den Städten in sieben Teile und kamen zu Josua ins Lager gen Silo.

And the men go, and pass over through the land, and describe it by cities, in seven portions, on a book, and they come in unto Joshua, unto the camp, Shiloh.

10 D a warf Josua das Los über sie zu Silo vor dem HERRN und teilte daselbst das Land aus unter die Kinder Israel, einem jeglichen sein Teil.

And Joshua casteth for them a lot in Shiloh before Jehovah, and there Joshua apportioneth the land to the sons of Israel, according to their divisions.

11 U nd das Los des Stammes der Kinder Benjamin fiel nach ihren Geschlechtern, und die Grenze ihres Loses ging aus zwischen den Kindern Juda und den Kindern Joseph.

And a lot goeth up the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families; and the border of their lot goeth out between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph.

12 U nd ihre Grenze war an der Seite gegen Mitternacht vom Jordan an und geht herauf an der Mitternachtseite Jerichos und kommt aufs Gebirge abendwärts und geht aus nach der Wüste Beth-Aven

And the border is to them at the north side from the Jordan, and the border hath gone up unto the side of Jericho on the north, and gone up through the hill-country westward, and its outgoings have been at the wilderness of Beth-Aven;

13 u nd geht von da gen Lus, an der Seite her an Lus mittagwärts, das ist Beth-El, und kommt hinab gen Ataroth-Adar an den Berg, der gegen Mittag liegt von dem niederen Beth-Horon.

and the border hath gone over thence to Luz, unto the side of Luz (it Beth-El) southward, and the border hath gone down Atroth-Addar, by the hill that on the south of the lower Beth-Horon;

14 D arnach neigt sie sich und lenkt sich um zur Seite des Abends gegen Mittag von dem Berge an, der vor Beth-Horon mittagswärts liegt, und endet an Kirjath-Baal, das ist Kirjath-Jearim, die Stadt der Kinder Juda. Das ist die Seite gegen Abend.

and the border hath been marked out, and hath gone round to the corner of the sea southward, from the hill which at the front of Beth-Horon southward, and its outgoings have been unto Kirjath-Baal (it Kirjath-Jearim), a city of the sons of Judah: this the west quarter.

15 A ber die Seite gegen Mittag ist von Kirjath-Jearim an und geht aus gegen Abend und kommt hinaus zum Wasserbrunnen Nephthoa

And the south quarter from the end of Kirjath-Jearim, and the border hath gone out westward, and gone out unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;

16 u nd geht herab an des Berges Ende, der vor dem Tal des Sohnes Hinnoms liegt, am Grunde Rephaim gegen Mitternacht, und geht durchs Tal Hinnom an der Mittagseite des Jebusiters und kommt hinab zum Brunnen Rogel

and the border hath come down unto the extremity of the hill which on the front of the valley of the son of Hinnom, which in the valley of the Rephaim northward, and hath gone down the valley of Hinnom unto the side of Jebusi southward, and gone down En-Rogel,

17 u nd zieht sich mitternachtwärts und kommt hinaus gen En-Semes und kommt hinaus gen Geliloth, das gegenüber der Steige Adummim liegt, und kommt herab zum Stein Bohans, des Sohnes Rubens,

and hath been marked out on the north, and gone out to En-Shemesh, and gone out unto Geliloth, which over-against the ascent of Adummim, and gone down the stone of Bohan son of Reuben,

18 u nd geht zur Seite hin neben dem Gefilde, das gegen Mitternacht liegt, und kommt hinab aufs Gefilde

and passed over unto the side over-against Arabah northward, and gone down to Arabah;

19 u nd geht an der Seite Beth-Hoglas, das gegen Mitternacht liegt, und ihr Ende ist an der Zunge des Salzmeers gegen Mitternacht, an dem Ende des Jordans gegen Mittag. Das ist die Mittagsgrenze.

and the border hath passed over unto the side of Beth-Hoglah northward, and the outgoings of the border have been unto the north bay of the salt sea, unto the south extremity of the Jordan; this the south border;

20 A ber die Seite gegen Morgen soll der Jordan enden. Das ist das Erbteil der Kinder Benjamin in ihren Grenzen umher nach ihren Geschlechtern.

and the Jordan doth border it at the east quarter; this the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by its borders round about, for their families.

21 D ie Städte aber des Stammes der Kinder Benjamin nach ihren Geschlechtern sind diese: Jericho, Beth-Hogla, Emek-Keziz,

And the cities for the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families, have been Jericho, and Beth-Hoglah, and the valley of Keziz,

22 B eth-Araba, Zemaraim, Beth-El,

and Beth-Arabah, Zemaraim, and Beth-El,

23 A vvim, Happara, Ophra,

and Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah,

24 K aphar-Ammonai, Ophni, Geba. Das sind zwölf Städte und ihre Dörfer.

and Chephar-Haammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities and their villages.

25 G ibeon Rama, Beeroth,

Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,

26 M izpe, Kaphira, Moza,

and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

27 R ekem, Jerpeel, Thareala,

and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,

28 Z ela, Eleph und die Jebusiter, das ist Jerusalem, Gibeath, Kirjath. Vierzehn Städte und ihre Dörfer. Das ist das Erbteil der Kinder Benjamin nach ihren Geschlechtern.

and Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi (it Jerusalem), Gibeath, Kirjath: fourteen cities and their villages. This the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, for their families.
