1 U nd der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2 R ede mit den Kindern Israel und sprich zu ihnen: Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.

`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, I Jehovah your God;

3 I hr sollt nicht tun nach den Werken des Landes Ägypten, darin ihr gewohnt habt, auch nicht nach den Werken des Landes Kanaan, darein ich euch führen will; ihr sollt auch nach ihrer Weise nicht halten;

according to the work of the land of Egypt in which ye have dwelt ye do not, and according to the work of the land of Canaan whither I am bringing you in, ye do not, and in their statutes ye walk not.

4 s ondern nach meinen Rechten sollt ihr tun, und meine Satzungen sollt ihr halten, daß ihr darin wandelt; denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.

`My judgments ye do, and My statutes ye keep, to walk in them; I Jehovah your God;

5 D arum sollt ihr meine Satzungen halten und meine Rechte. Denn welcher Mensch dieselben tut, der wird dadurch leben; denn ich bin der HERR.

and ye have kept My statutes and My judgments which man doth and liveth in them; I Jehovah.

6 N iemand soll sich zu seiner nächsten Blutsfreundin tun, ihre Blöße aufzudecken; denn ich bin der HERR.

`None of you unto any relation of his flesh doth draw near to uncover nakedness; I Jehovah.

7 D u sollst deines Vaters und deiner Mutter Blöße nicht aufdecken; es ist deine Mutter, darum sollst du ihre Blöße nicht aufdecken.

`The nakedness of thy father and the nakedness of thy mother thou dost not uncover, she thy mother; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.

8 D u sollst deines Vaters Weibes Blöße nicht aufdecken; denn sie ist deines Vaters Blöße.

`The nakedness of the wife of thy father thou dost not uncover; it the nakedness of thy father.

9 D u sollst deiner Schwester Blöße, die deines Vaters oder deiner Mutter Tochter ist, daheim oder draußen geboren, nicht aufdecken.

`The nakedness of thy sister, daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, born at home or born without; thou dost not uncover their nakedness.

10 D u sollst die Blöße der Tochter deines Sohnes oder deiner Tochter nicht aufdecken; denn es ist deine Blöße.

`The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter: thou dost not uncover their nakedness; for theirs thy nakedness.

11 D u sollst die Blöße der Tochter deines Vaters Weibes, die deinem Vater geboren ist und deine Schwester ist, nicht aufdecken.

`The nakedness of a daughter of thy father's wife, begotten of thy father, she thy sister; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.

12 D o sollst die Blöße der Schwester deines Vaters nicht aufdecken; denn es ist deines Vaters nächste Blutsfreundin.

`The nakedness of a sister of thy father thou dost not uncover; she a relation of thy father.

13 D u sollst deiner Mutter Schwester Blöße nicht aufdecken; denn es ist deiner Mutter nächste Blutsfreundin.

`The nakedness of thy mother's sister thou dost not uncover; for she thy mother's relation.

14 D u sollst deines Vaters Bruders Blöße nicht aufdecken, daß du sein Weib nehmest; denn sie ist deine Base.

`The nakedness of thy father's brother thou dost not uncover; unto his wife thou dost not draw near; she thine aunt.

15 D u sollst deiner Schwiegertochter Blöße nicht aufdecken; denn es ist deines Sohnes Weib, darum sollst du ihre Blöße nicht aufdecken.

`The nakedness of thy daughter-in-law thou dost not uncover; she thy son's wife; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.

16 D u sollst deines Bruders Weibes Blöße nicht aufdecken; denn sie ist deines Bruders Blöße.

`The nakedness of thy brother's wife thou dost not uncover; it thy brother's nakedness.

17 D u sollst eines Weibes samt ihrer Tochter Blöße nicht aufdecken noch ihres Sohnes Tochter oder ihrer Tochter Tochter nehmen, ihre Blöße aufzudecken; denn sie sind ihre nächsten Blutsfreundinnen, und es ist ein Frevel.

`The nakedness of a woman and her daughter thou dost not uncover; her son's daughter, and her daughter's daughter thou dost not take to uncover her nakedness; they her relations; it wickedness.

18 D u sollst auch deines Weibes Schwester nicht nehmen neben ihr, ihre Blöße aufzudecken, ihr zuwider, solange sie noch lebt.

`And a woman unto another thou dost not take, to be an adversary, to uncover her nakedness beside her, in her life.

19 D u sollst nicht zum Weibe gehen, solange sie ihre Krankheit hat, in ihrer Unreinigkeit ihre Blöße aufzudecken.

`And unto a woman in the separation of her uncleanness thou dost not draw near to uncover her nakedness.

20 D u sollst auch nicht bei deines Nächsten Weibe liegen, dadurch du dich an ihr verunreinigst.

`And unto the wife of thy fellow thou dost not give thy seed of copulation, for uncleanness with her.

21 D u sollst auch nicht eines deiner Kinder dahingeben, daß es dem Moloch verbrannt werde, daß du nicht entheiligst den Namen deines Gottes; denn ich bin der HERR.

`And of thy seed thou dost not give to pass over to the Molech; nor dost thou pollute the name of thy God; I Jehovah.

22 D u sollst nicht beim Knaben liegen wie beim Weibe; denn es ist ein Greuel.

`And with a male thou dost not lie as one lieth with a woman; abomination it.

23 D u sollst auch bei keinem Tier liegen, daß du mit ihm verunreinigt werdest. Und kein Weib soll mit einem Tier zu schaffen haben; denn es ist ein Greuel.

`And with any beast thou dost not give thy copulation, for uncleanness with it; and a woman doth not stand before a beast to lie down with it; confusion it.

24 I hr sollt euch in dieser keinem verunreinigen; denn in diesem allem haben sich verunreinigt die Heiden, die ich vor euch her will ausstoßen,

`Ye are not defiled with all these, for with all these have the nations been defiled which I am sending away from before you;

25 u nd das Land ist dadurch verunreinigt. Und ich will ihre Missetat an ihnen heimsuchen, daß das Land seine Einwohner ausspeie.

and the land is defiled, and I charge its iniquity upon it, and the land vomiteth out its inhabitants:

26 D arum haltet meine Satzungen und Rechte, und tut dieser Greuel keine, weder der Einheimische noch der Fremdling unter euch;

and ye -- ye have kept My statutes and My judgments, and do not of all these abominations, the native and the sojourner who is sojourning in your midst,

27 d enn alle solche Greuel haben die Leute dieses Landes getan, die vor euch waren, und haben das Land verunreinigt;

(for all these abominations have the men of the land done who before you, and the land is defiled),

28 a uf daß euch nicht auch das Land ausspeie, wenn ihr es verunreinigt, gleich wie es die Heiden hat ausgespieen, die vor euch waren.

and the land doth not vomit you out in your defiling it, as it hath vomited out the nation which before you;

29 D enn welche diese Greuel tun, deren Seelen sollen ausgerottet werden von ihrem Volk.

for any one who doth of all these abominations -- even the persons who are doing, have been cut off from the midst of their people;

30 D arum haltet meine Satzungen, daß ihr nicht tut nach den greulichen Sitten, die vor euch waren, daß ihr nicht damit verunreinigt werdet; denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.

and ye have kept My charge, so as not to do of the abominable statutes which have been done before you, and ye do not defile yourselves with them; I Jehovah your God.'
