1 I m fünfundzwanzigsten Jahr unserer Gefangenschaft, im Anfang des Jahres, am zehnten Tage des Monats, im vierzehnten Jahr, nachdem die Stadt geschlagen war, eben an diesem Tage kam des HERRN Hand über mich und führte mich dahin.

In the twenty and fifth year of our removal, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in this self-same day hath a hand of Jehovah been upon me, and He bringeth me in thither;

2 D urch göttliche Gesichte führte er mich ins Land Israel und stellte mich auf einen hohen Berg, darauf war's wie eine gebaute Stadt gegen Mittag.

in visions of God He hath brought me in unto the land of Israel, and causeth me to rest on a very high mountain, and upon it as the frame of a city on the south.

3 U nd da er mich hingebracht hatte, siehe, da war ein Mann, des Ansehen war wie Erz; der hatte eine lange leinene Schnur und eine Meßrute in seiner Hand und stand unter dem Tor.

And He bringeth me in thither, and lo, a man, his appearance as the appearance of brass, and a thread of flax in his hand, and a measuring-reed, and he is standing at the gate,

4 U nd er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, siehe und höre fleißig zu und merke auf alles, was ich dir zeigen will. Denn darum bist du hergebracht, daß ich dir solches zeige, auf daß du solches alles, was du hier siehst, verkündigst dem Hause Israel.

and the man speaketh unto me: `Son of man, see with thine eyes, And with thine ears hear, And set thy heart to all that I am shewing thee, For, in order to shew thee, Thou hast been brought in hither, Declare all that thou art seeing to the house of Israel.'

5 U nd siehe, es ging eine Mauer auswendig um das Haus ringsumher. Und der Mann hatte die Meßrute in der Hand, die war sechs Ellen lang; eine jegliche Elle war eine Handbreit länger denn eine gemeine Elle. Und er maß das Gebäude in die Breite eine Rute und in die Höhe auch eine Rute.

And lo, a wall on the outside of the house all round about, and in the hand of the man a measuring-reed, six cubits by a cubit and a handbreadth, and he measureth the breadth of the building one reed, and the height one reed.

6 U nd er ging ein zum Tor, das gegen Morgen lag, und ging hinauf auf seinen Stufen und maß die Schwelle, eine Rute breit.

And he cometh in unto the gate whose front eastward, and he goeth up by its steps, and he measureth the threshold of the gate one reed broad, even the one threshold one reed broad,

7 U nd die Gemächer, so beiderseits neben dem Tor waren, maß er auch nach der Länge eine Rute und nach der Breite eine Rute; und der Raum zwischen den Gemächern war fünf Ellen weit. Und er maß auch die Schwelle am Tor neben der Halle, die nach dem Hause zu war, eine Rute.

and the little chamber one reed long and one reed broad, and between the little chambers five cubits, and the threshold of the gate, from the side of the porch of the gate from within, one reed.

8 U nd er maß die Halle am Tor, die nach dem Hause zu war, eine Rute.

And he measureth the porch of the gate from within one reed,

9 U nd maß die Halle am Tor acht Ellen und ihre Pfeiler zwei Ellen, und die Halle am Tor war nach dem Hause zu.

and he measureth the porch of the gate eight cubits, and its posts two cubits, and the porch of the gates from within,

10 U nd der Gemächer waren auf jeglicher Seite drei am Tor gegen Morgen, je eins so weit wie das andere, und die Pfeiler auf beiden Seiten waren gleich groß.

and the little chambers of the gate eastward, three on this side, and three on that side; one measure to them three, and one measure to the posts, on this side and on that side.

11 D arnach maß er die Weite der Tür im Tor zehn Ellen und die Länge des Tors dreizehn Ellen.

And he measureth the breadth of the opening of the gate ten cubits, the length of the gate thirteen cubits;

12 U nd vorn an den Gemächern war Raum abgegrenzt auf beiden Seiten, je eine Elle; aber die Gemächer waren je sechs Ellen auf beiden Seiten.

and a border before the little chambers, one cubit, and one cubit the border on this side, and the little chamber six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.

13 D azu maß er das Tor vom Dach der Gemächer auf der einen Seite bis zum Dach der Gemächer auf der andern Seite fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit; und eine Tür stand gegenüber der andern.

And he measureth the gate from the roof of the little chamber to the roof of another; the breadth twenty and five cubits, opening over-against opening.

14 U nd er machte die Pfeiler sechzig Ellen, und an den Pfeilern war der Vorhof, am Tor ringsherum.

And he maketh the posts of sixty cubits, even unto the post of the court, the gate all round about;

15 U nd vom Tor, da man hineingeht, bis außen an die Halle an der innern Seite des Tors waren fünfzig Ellen.

and by the front of the gate of the entrance, by the front of the porch of the inner gate, fifty cubits;

16 U nd es waren enge Fensterlein an den Gemächern und an den Pfeilern hineinwärts am Tor ringsumher. Also waren auch Fenster inwendig an der Halle herum, und an den Pfeilern war Palmlaubwerk.

and narrow windows unto the little chambers, and unto their posts at the inside of the gate all round about -- and so to the arches -- and windows all round about at the inside, and at the post palm-trees.

17 U nd er führte mich weiter zum äußern Vorhof, und siehe, da waren Kammern und ein Pflaster gemacht am Vorhofe herum; dreißig Kammern waren auf dem Pflaster.

And he bringeth me in unto the outer court, and lo, chambers and a pavement made for the court all round about -- thirty chambers on the pavement --

18 U nd es war das Pflaster zur Seite der Tore, solang die Tore waren, nämlich das untere Pflaster.

and the pavement unto the side of the gates over-against the length of the gates the lower pavement;

19 U nd er maß die Breite von dem untern Tor an bis vor den innern Hof auswendig hundert Ellen, gegen Morgen und gegen Mitternacht.

and he measureth the breadth from before the lower gate, to the front of the inner court, on the outside, a hundred cubits, eastward and northward.

20 E r maß auch das Tor, so gegen Mitternacht lag, am äußern Vorhof, nach der Länge und Breite.

As to the gate of the outer court whose front northward, he hath measured its length and its breadth;

21 D as hatte auch auf jeder Seite drei Gemächer und hatte auch seine Pfeiler und Halle, gleich so groß wie am vorigen Tor, fünfzig Ellen die Länge und fünfundzwanzig Ellen die Breite.

and its little chambers, three on this side, and three on that side, and its posts and its arches have been according to the measure of the first gate, fifty cubits its length, and the breadth five and twenty by the cubit;

22 U nd hatte auch seine Fenster und seine Halle und sein Palmlaubwerk, gleich wie das Tor gegen Morgen; und hatte seine Halle davor.

and its windows, and its arches, and its palm-trees according to the measure of the gate whose face eastward, and by seven steps they go up on it, and its arches before them.

23 U nd es waren Tore am innern Vorhof gegenüber den Toren, so gegen Mitternacht und Morgen standen; und er maß hundert Ellen von einem Tor zum andern.

And the gate of the inner court over-against the gate at the north and at the east; and he measureth from gate unto gate, a hundred cubits.

24 D arnach führte er mich gegen Mittag, und siehe, da war auch ein Tor gegen Mittag; und er maß seine Pfeiler und Halle gleich wie die andern.

And he causeth me to go southward, and lo, a gate southward, and he hath measured its posts and its arches according to these measures;

25 U nd es waren auch Fenster an ihm und an seiner Halle umher, gleich wie jene Fenster; und es war fünfzig Ellen lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.

and windows to it and to its arches all round about, like these windows, fifty cubits the length, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;

26 U nd waren auch sieben Stufen hinauf und eine Halle davor und Palmlaubwerk an ihren Pfeilern auf jeglicher Seite.

and seven steps its ascent, and its arches before them, and palm-trees to it, one on this side, and one on that side, at its posts;

27 U nd es war auch ein Tor am innern Vorhof gegen Mittag, und er maß hundert Ellen von dem einen Mittagstor zum andern.

and the gate of the inner court southward, and he measureth from gate unto gate southward, a hundred cubits.

28 U nd er führte mich weiter durchs Mittagstor in den innern Vorhof und maß dasselbe Tor gleich so groß wie die andern,

And he bringeth me in unto the inner court by the south gate, and he measureth the south gate according to these measures;

29 m it seinen Gemächern, Pfeilern und Halle und mit Fenstern an ihm und an seiner Halle, ebenso groß wie jene, ringsumher; und es waren fünfzig Ellen lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.

and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches according to these measures, and windows to it and to its arches all round about; fifty cubits the length, and the breadth twenty and five cubits.

30 U nd es ging eine Halle herum, fünfundzwanzig Ellen lang und fünf Ellen breit.

As to the arches all round about, the length five and twenty cubits, and the breadth five cubits;

31 U nd die Halle, so gegen den äußeren Vorhof stand, hatte auch Palmlaubwerk an den Pfeilern; es waren aber acht Stufen hinaufzugehen.

and its arches unto the outer court, and palm-trees unto its posts, and eight steps its ascent.

32 D arnach führte er mich zum innern Vorhof gegen Morgen und maß das Tor gleich so groß wie die andern,

And he bringeth me in unto the inner court eastward, and he measureth the gate according to these measures;

33 m it seinen Gemächern, Pfeilern und Halle, gleich so groß wie die andern, und mit Fenstern an ihm und an seiner Halle ringsumher; und es war fünfzig Ellen lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.

and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches according to these measures: and windows to it and to its arches all round about, the length fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;

34 U nd seine Halle stand auch gegen den äußern Vorhof und Palmlaubwerk an ihren Pfeilern zu beiden Seiten und acht Stufen hinauf.

and its arches toward the outer court, and palm-trees toward its posts, on this side and on that side, and eight steps its ascent.

35 D arnach führte er mich zum Tor gegen Mitternacht; das maß er gleich so groß wie die andern,

And he bringeth me in unto the north gate, and hath measured according to these measures;

36 m it seinen Gemächern, Pfeilern und Halle und ihren Fenstern ringsumher, fünfzig Ellen lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.

its little chambers, its posts, and its arches; and windows to it all round about: the length fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;

37 U nd seine Halle stand auch gegen den äußern Vorhof und Palmlaubwerk an den Pfeilern zu beiden Seiten und acht Stufen hinauf.

and its posts to the outer court, and palm-trees unto its posts, on this side and on that side, and eight steps its ascent.

38 U nd unten an den Pfeilern an jedem Tor war eine Kammer mit einer Tür, darin man das Brandopfer wusch.

And the chamber and its opening by the posts of the gates, there they purge the burnt-offering.

39 A ber in der Halle des Tors standen auf jeglicher Seite zwei Tische, darauf man die Brandopfer, Sündopfer und Schuldopfer schlachten sollte.

And in the porch of the gate two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slaughter on them the burnt-offering, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering;

40 U nd herauswärts zur Seite, da man hinaufgeht zum Tor gegen Mitternacht, standen auch zwei Tische und an der andern Seite unter der Halle des Tors auch zwei Tische.

and at the side without, at the going up to the opening of the north gate, two tables; and at the other side that at the porch of the gate, two tables;

41 A lso standen auf jeder Seite des Tors vier Tische; das sind zusammen acht Tische, darauf man schlachtete.

four tables on this side, and four tables on that side, at the side of the gate, eight tables on which they slaughter.

42 U nd noch vier Tische, zum Brandopfer gemacht, die waren aus gehauenen Steinen, je anderthalb Ellen lang und breit und eine Elle hoch, darauf man legte allerlei Geräte, womit man Brandopfer und andere Opfer schlachtete.

And the four tables for burnt-offering of hewn stone: the length one cubit and a half, and the breadth one cubit and a half, and the height one cubit: on them they place the instruments with which they slaughter the burnt-offering and the sacrifice.

43 U nd es gingen Leisten herum, hineinwärts gebogen, eine quere Hand hoch. Und auf die Tische sollte man das Opferfleisch legen.

And the boundaries one handbreadth, prepared within all round about: and on the tables the flesh of the offering.

44 U nd außen vor dem innern Tor waren zwei Kammern im innern Vorhofe: eine an der Seite neben dem Tor zur Mitternacht, die sah gegen Mittag; die andere zur Seite des Tors gegen Mittag, die sah gegen Mitternacht.

And on the outside of the inner gate chambers of the singers, in the inner court, that at the side of the north gate, and their fronts southward, one at the side of the east gate the front northward.

45 U nd er sprach zu mir: Die Kammer gegen Mittag gehört den Priestern, die im Hause dienen sollen;

And he speaketh unto me: `This chamber, whose front southward, for priests keeping charge of the house;

46 a ber die Kammer gegen Mitternacht gehört den Priestern, die auf dem Altar dienen. Dies sind die Kinder Zadok, welche allein unter den Kindern Levi vor den HERRN treten sollen, ihm zu dienen.

and the chamber, whose front northward, for priests keeping charge of the altar: they sons of Zadok, who are drawing near of the sons of Levi unto Jehovah, to serve Him.'

47 U nd er maß den Vorhof, nämlich hundert Ellen lang und hundert Ellen breit ins Gevierte; und der Altar stand vorn vor dem Tempel.

And he measureth the court: the length a hundred cubits, and the breadth a hundred cubits, square, and the altar before the house.

48 U nd er führte mich hinein zur Halle des Tempels und maß die Pfeiler der Halle fünf Ellen auf jeder Seite und das Tor vierzehn Ellen, und die Wände zu beiden Seiten an der Tür drei Ellen auf jeder Seite.

And he bringeth me in unto the porch of the house, and he measureth the post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side, and the breadth of the gate, three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side;

49 A ber die Halle war zwanzig Ellen lang und elf Ellen weit und hatte Stufen, da man hinaufging; und Säulen standen an den Pfeilern, auf jeder Seite eine.

the length of the porch twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits; and by the steps whereby they go up unto it: and pillars at the posts, one on this side, and one on that side.
