1 U nd der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2 G ebiete den Kindern Israel, daß sie zu dir bringen gestoßenes lauteres Baumöl zur Leuchte, daß man täglich Lampen aufsetze

`Command the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee pure olive oil, beaten, for the lamp, to cause a light to go up continually;

3 a ußen vor dem Vorhang des Zeugnisses in der Hütte des Stifts. Und Aaron soll's zurichten des Abends und des Morgens vor dem HERRN täglich. Das sei ein ewiges Recht euren Nachkommen.

at the outside of the vail of the testimony in the tent of meeting doth Aaron arrange it from evening till morning before Jehovah continually -- a statute age-during to your generations;

4 E r soll die Lampen auf dem feinen Leuchter zurichten vor dem HERRN täglich.

by the pure candlestick he doth arrange the lights before Jehovah continually.

5 U nd sollst Semmelmehl nehmen und davon zwölf Kuchen backen; zwei Zehntel soll ein Kuchen haben.

`And thou hast taken flour, and hast baked twelve cakes with it, two tenth deals are in the one cake,

6 U nd sollst sie legen je sechs auf eine Schicht auf den feinen Tisch vor dem HERRN.

and thou hast set them two ranks (six in the rank) on the pure table before Jehovah,

7 U nd sollst auf dieselben legen reinen Weihrauch, daß er sei bei den Broten zum Gedächtnis, ein Feuer dem HERRN.

and thou hast put on the rank pure frankincense, and it hath been to the bread for a memorial, a fire-offering to Jehovah.

8 A lle Sabbate für und für soll er sie zurichten vor dem HERRN, von den Kindern Israel zum ewigen Bund.

`On each sabbath-day he arrangeth it before Jehovah continually, from the sons of Israel -- a covenant age-during;

9 U nd sie sollen Aarons und seiner Söhne sein; die sollen sie essen an heiliger Stätte; denn das ist ein Hochheiliges von den Opfern des HERRN zum ewigen Recht.

and it hath been to Aaron, and to his sons, and they have eaten it in the holy place, for it most holy to him, from the fire-offerings of Jehovah -- a statute age-during.'

10 E s ging aber aus eines israelitischen Weibes Sohn, der eines ägyptischen Mannes Kind war, unter den Kindern Israel und zankte sich im Lager mit einem israelitischen Mann

And a son of an Israelitish woman goeth out (and he son of an Egyptian man), in the midst of the sons of Israel, and strive in the camp do the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel,

11 u nd lästerte den Namen des HERRN und fluchte. Da brachten sie ihn zu Mose (seine Mutter aber hieß Selomith, eine Tochter Dibris vom Stamme Dan)

and the son of the Israelitish woman execrateth the Name, and revileth; and they bring him in unto Moses; and his mother's name Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan;

12 u nd legten ihn gefangen, bis ihnen klare Antwort würde durch den Mund des HERRN.

and he causeth him to rest in charge -- to explain to them by the mouth of Jehovah.

13 U nd der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

14 F ühre den Flucher hinaus vor das Lager und laß alle, die es gehört haben, ihre Hände auf sein Haupt legen und laß ihn die ganze Gemeinde steinigen.

`Bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp; and all those hearing have laid their hands on his head, and all the company have stoned him.

15 U nd sage den Kindern Israel: Welcher seinem Gott flucht, der soll seine Sünde tragen.

`And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, When any man revileth his God -- then he hath borne his sin;

16 W elcher des HERRN Namen lästert, der soll des Todes sterben; die ganze Gemeinde soll ihn steinigen. Wie der Fremdling, so soll auch der Einheimische sein; wenn er den Namen lästert, so soll er sterben.

and he who is execrating the name of Jehovah is certainly put to death; all the company do certainly cast stones at him; as a sojourner so a native, in his execrating the Name, is put to death.

17 W er irgend einen Menschen erschlägt, der soll des Todes sterben.

`And when a man smiteth any soul of man, he is certainly put to death.

18 W er aber ein Vieh erschlägt, der soll's bezahlen, Leib um Leib.

`And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, body for body.

19 U nd wer seinen Nächsten verletzt, dem soll man tun, wie er getan hat,

`And when a man putteth a blemish in his fellow, as he hath done so it is done to him;

20 S chade um Schade, Auge um Auge, Zahn um Zahn; wie er hat einen Menschen verletzt, so soll man ihm wieder tun.

breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he putteth a blemish in a man so it is done in him.

21 A lso daß, wer ein Vieh erschlägt, der soll's bezahlen; wer aber einen Menschen erschlägt, der soll sterben.

`And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, and he who smiteth man is put to death;

22 E s soll einerlei Recht unter euch sein, dem Fremdling wie dem Einheimischen; denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.

one judgment is to you; as a sojourner so is a native; for I Jehovah your God.'

23 M ose aber sagte es den Kindern Israel; und sie führten den Flucher hinaus vor das Lager und steinigten ihn. Also taten die Kinder Israel, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.

And Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel, and they bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones; and the sons of Israel have done as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
