1 U nd ich sah ein anderes Zeichen im Himmel, das war groß und wundersam: sieben Engel, die hatten die letzten sieben Plagen; denn mit denselben ist vollendet der Zorn Gottes.

And I saw another sign in the heaven, great and wonderful, seven messengers having the seven last plagues, because in these was completed the wrath of God,

2 U nd ich sah wie ein gläsernes Meer, mit Feuer gemengt; und die den Sieg behalten hatten an dem Tier und seinem Bild und seinem Malzeichen und seines Namens Zahl, standen an dem gläsernen Meer und hatten Harfen Gottes

and I saw as a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who do gain the victory over the beast, and his image, and his mark, the number of his name, standing by the sea of the glass, having harps of God,

3 u nd sangen das Lied Mose's, des Knechtes Gottes, und das Lied des Lammes und sprachen: Groß und wundersam sind deine Werke, HERR, allmächtiger Gott! Gerecht und wahrhaftig sind deine Wege, du König der Heiden!

and they sing the song of Moses, servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, `Great and wonderful Thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty, righteous and true Thy ways, O King of saints,

4 W er sollte dich nicht fürchten, HERR und deinen Namen preisen? Denn du bist allein heilig. Denn alle Heiden werden kommen und anbeten vor dir; denn deine Urteile sind offenbar geworden.

who may not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name? because Thou alone kind, because all the nations shall come and bow before Thee, because Thy righteous acts were manifested.'

5 D arnach sah ich, und siehe, da ward aufgetan der Tempel der Hütte des Zeugnisses im Himmel;

And after these things I saw, and lo, opened was the sanctuary of the tabernacle of the testimony in the heaven;

6 u nd gingen aus dem Tempel die sieben Engel, die die sieben Plagen hatten, angetan mit reiner, heller Leinwand und umgürtet an ihren Brüsten mit goldenen Gürteln.

and come forth did the seven messengers having the seven plagues, out of the sanctuary, clothed in linen, pure and shining, and girded round the breasts with golden girdles:

7 U nd eines der vier Tiere gab den sieben Engeln sieben goldene Schalen voll Zorns Gottes, der da lebt von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit.

and one of the four living creatures did give to the seven messengers seven golden vials, full of the wrath of God, who is living to the ages of the ages;

8 U nd der Tempel ward voll Rauch von der Herrlichkeit Gottes und von seiner Kraft; und niemand konnte in den Tempel gehen, bis daß die sieben Plagen der sieben Engel vollendet wurden.

and filled was the sanctuary with smoke from the glory of God, and from His power, and no one was able to enter into the sanctuary till the seven plagues of the seven messengers may be finished.
