1 U nd der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2 M ache dir zwei Drommeten von getriebenem Silber, daß du sie brauchst, die Gemeinde zu berufen und wenn das Heer aufbrechen soll.

`Make to thee two trumpets of silver; beaten work thou dost make them, and they have been to thee for the convocation of the company, and for the journeying of the camps;

3 W enn man mit beiden schlicht bläst, soll sich zu dir versammeln die ganze Gemeinde vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts.

and they have blown with them, and all the company have met together unto thee, unto the opening of the tent of meeting.

4 W enn man nur mit einer schlicht bläst, so sollen sich zu dir versammeln die Fürsten, die Obersten über die Tausende in Israel.

And if with one they blow, then have the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, met together unto thee;

5 W enn ihr aber drommetet, so sollen die Lager aufbrechen, die gegen Morgen liegen.

`And ye have blown -- a shout, and the camps which are encamping eastward have journeyed.

6 U nd wenn ihr zum andernmal drommetet, so sollen die Lager aufbrechen, die gegen Mittag liegen. Denn wenn sie reisen sollen, so sollt ihr drommeten.

`And ye have blown -- a second shout, and the camps which are encamping southward have journeyed; a shout they blow for their journeys.

7 W enn aber die Gemeinde zu versammeln ist, sollt ihr schlicht blasen und nicht drommeten.

`And in the assembling of the assembly ye blow, and do not shout;

8 E s sollen aber solch Blasen mit den Drommeten die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, tun; und das soll euer Recht sein ewiglich bei euren Nachkommen.

and sons of Aaron, the priests, blow with the trumpets; and they have been to you for a statute age-during to your generations.

9 W enn ihr in einen Streit ziehet in eurem Lande wider eure Feinde, die euch bedrängen, so sollt ihr drommeten mit den Drommeten, daß euer gedacht werde vor dem HERRN, eurem Gott, und ihr erlöst werdet von euren Feinden.

`And when ye go into battle in your land against the adversary who is distressing you, then ye have shouted with the trumpets, and ye have been remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye have been saved from your enemies.

10 D esgleichen, wenn ihr fröhlich seid, und an euren Festen und an euren Neumonden sollt ihr mit den Drommeten blasen über eure Brandopfer und Dankopfer, daß es euch sei zum Gedächtnis vor eurem Gott. Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.

`And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed seasons, and in the beginnings of your months, ye have blown also with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings, and they have been to you for a memorial before your God; I, Jehovah, your God.'

11 A m zwanzigsten Tage im zweiten Monat des zweiten Jahres erhob sich die Wolke von der Wohnung des Zeugnisses.

And it cometh to pass -- in the second year, in the second month, in the twentieth of the month -- the cloud hath gone up from off the tabernacle of the testimony,

12 U nd die Kinder Israel brachen auf und zogen aus der Wüste Sinai, und die Wolke blieb in der Wüste Pharan.

and the sons of Israel journey in their journeyings from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud doth tabernacle in the wilderness of Paran;

13 E s brachen aber auf die ersten nach dem Wort des HERRN durch Mose;

and they journey at first, by the command of Jehovah, in the hand of Moses.

14 n ämlich das Panier des Lagers der Kinder Juda zog am ersten mit ihrem Heer, und über ihr Heer war Nahesson, der Sohn Amminadabs;

And the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah journeyeth in the first, by their hosts, and over its host Nahshon son of Amminadab.

15 u nd über das Heer des Stammes der Kinder Isaschar war Nathanael, der Sohn Zuars;

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar Nathaneel son of Zuar.

16 u nd über das Heer des Stammes der Kinder Sebulon war Eliab, der Sohn Helons.

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun Eliab son of Helon;

17 D a zerlegte man die Wohnung, und zogen die Kinder Gerson und Merari und trugen die Wohnung.

And the tabernacle hath been taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle.

18 D arnach zog das Panier des Lagers Rubens mit ihrem Heer, und über ihr Heer war Elizur, der Sohn Sedeurs;

And the standard of the camp of Reuben hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host Elizur son of Shedeur.

19 u nd über das Heer des Stammes der Kinder Simeon war Selumiel, der Sohn Zuri-Saddais;

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.

20 u nd Eljasaph, der Sohn Deguels, über das Heer des Stammes der Kinder Gad.

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad Eliasaph son of Deuel;

21 D a zogen auch die Kahathiten und trugen das Heiligtum; und jene richteten die Wohnung auf, bis diese nachkamen.

And the Kohathites have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle, and the have raised up the tabernacle until their coming in.

22 D arnach zog das Panier des Lagers der Kinder Ephraim mit ihrem Heer, und über ihr Heer war Elisama, der Sohn Ammihuds;

And the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host Elishama son of Ammihud.

23 u nd Gamliel, der Sohn Pedazurs, über das Heer des Stammes der Kinder Manasse;

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh Gamalial son of Pedahzur.

24 u nd Abidan, der Sohn des Gideoni, über das Heer des Stammes der Kinder Benjamin.

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin Abidan son of Gideoni.

25 D arnach zog das Panier des Lagers der Kinder Dan mit ihrem Heer; und so waren die Lager alle auf. Und Ahi-Eser, der Sohn Ammi-Saddais, war über ihr Heer;

And the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan hath journeyed (rearward to all the camps), by their hosts, and over its host Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.

26 u nd Pagiel, der Sohn Ochrans, über das Heer des Stammes der Kinder Asser;

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher Pagiel son of Ocran.

27 u nd Ahira, der Sohn Enans, über das Heer des Stammes der Kinder Naphthali.

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali Ahira son of Enan.

28 S o zogen die Kinder Israel mit ihrem Heer.

These journeyings of the sons of Israel by their hosts -- and they journey.

29 U nd Mose sprach zu seinem Schwager Hobab, dem Sohn Reguels, aus Midian: Wir ziehen dahin an die Stätte, davon der HERR gesagt hat: Ich will sie euch geben; so komm nun mit uns, so wollen wir das Beste an dir tun; denn der HERR hat Israel Gutes zugesagt.

And Moses saith to Hobab son of Raguel the Midianite, father-in-law of Moses, `We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah hath said, I give it to you; go with us, and we have done good to thee; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel.'

30 E r aber antwortete: Ich will nicht mit euch, sondern in mein Land zu meiner Freundschaft ziehen.

And he saith unto him, `I do not go; but unto my land and unto my kindred do I go.'

31 E r sprach: Verlaß uns doch nicht; denn du weißt, wo wir in der Wüste uns lagern sollen, und sollst unser Auge sein.

And he saith, `I pray thee, forsake us not, because thou hast known our encamping in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us for eyes;

32 U nd wenn du mit uns ziehst: was der HERR Gutes an uns tut, das wollen wir an dir tun.

and it hath come to pass when thou goest with us, yea, it hath come to pass -- that good which Jehovah doth kindly with us -- it we have done kindly to thee.'

33 A lso zogen sie von dem Berge des HERRN drei Tagereisen, und die Lade des Bundes des HERRN zog vor ihnen her die drei Tagereisen, ihnen zu weisen, wo sie ruhen sollten.

And they journey from the mount of Jehovah a journey of three days; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is journeying before them the journey of three days, to spy out for them a resting-place;

34 U nd die Wolke des Herrn war des Tages über ihnen, wenn sie aus dem Lager zogen.

and the cloud of Jehovah on them by day, in their journeying from the camp.

35 U nd wenn die Lade zog, so sprach Mose: HERR, stehe auf! laß deine Feinde zerstreut und die dich hassen, flüchtig werden vor dir!

And it cometh to pass in the journeying of the ark, that Moses saith, `Rise, O Jehovah, and Thine enemies are scattered, and those hating Thee flee from Thy presence.'

36 U nd wenn sie ruhte, so sprach er: Komm wieder, HERR, zu der Menge der Tausende Israels!

And in its resting he saith, `Return, O Jehovah, the myriads, the thousands of Israel.'
