1 Y siguió el Señor hablando a Moisés, diciendo:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2 H azte dos trompetas de plata; las harás labradas a martillo. Y te servirán para convocar a la congregación y para dar la orden de poner en marcha los campamentos.

`Make to thee two trumpets of silver; beaten work thou dost make them, and they have been to thee for the convocation of the company, and for the journeying of the camps;

3 C uando se toquen las dos, toda la congregación se reunirá junto a ti a la puerta de la tienda de reunión.

and they have blown with them, and all the company have met together unto thee, unto the opening of the tent of meeting.

4 C uando se toque una sola, entonces se reunirán junto a ti los principales, los jefes de las divisiones de Israel.

And if with one they blow, then have the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, met together unto thee;

5 P ero cuando toquéis alarma, partirán los que estén acampados al oriente.

`And ye have blown -- a shout, and the camps which are encamping eastward have journeyed.

6 Y cuando toquéis alarma la segunda vez, partirán los acampados al sur; se tocará una alarma para que ellos se pongan en marcha.

`And ye have blown -- a second shout, and the camps which are encamping southward have journeyed; a shout they blow for their journeys.

7 S in embargo, cuando se convoque la asamblea, tocaréis, pero no con toque de alarma.

`And in the assembling of the assembly ye blow, and do not shout;

8 A demás, los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, tocarán las trompetas; y os será por estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones.

and sons of Aaron, the priests, blow with the trumpets; and they have been to you for a statute age-during to your generations.

9 C uando vayáis a la guerra en vuestra tierra contra el adversario que os ataque, tocaréis alarma con las trompetas a fin de que el Señor vuestro Dios se acuerde de vosotros, y seáis salvados de vuestros enemigos.

`And when ye go into battle in your land against the adversary who is distressing you, then ye have shouted with the trumpets, and ye have been remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye have been saved from your enemies.

10 A simismo, en el día de vuestra alegría, en vuestras fiestas señaladas y en el primer día de vuestros meses, tocaréis las trompetas durante vuestros holocaustos y durante los sacrificios de vuestras ofrendas de paz; y serán para vosotros como recordatorio delante de vuestro Dios. Yo soy el Señor vuestro Dios. Israel parte del Sinaí

`And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed seasons, and in the beginnings of your months, ye have blown also with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings, and they have been to you for a memorial before your God; I, Jehovah, your God.'

11 Y sucedió que en el año segundo, en el mes segundo, el día veinte del mes, la nube se levantó de sobre el tabernáculo del testimonio;

And it cometh to pass -- in the second year, in the second month, in the twentieth of the month -- the cloud hath gone up from off the tabernacle of the testimony,

12 y los hijos de Israel partieron, según su orden de marcha, del desierto de Sinaí. Y la nube se detuvo en el desierto de Parán.

and the sons of Israel journey in their journeyings from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud doth tabernacle in the wilderness of Paran;

13 A sí partieron la primera vez conforme al mandamiento del Señor por medio de Moisés.

and they journey at first, by the command of Jehovah, in the hand of Moses.

14 L a bandera del campamento de los hijos de Judá, según sus ejércitos, partió primero, con Naasón, hijo de Aminadab, al frente de su ejército;

And the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah journeyeth in the first, by their hosts, and over its host Nahshon son of Amminadab.

15 y Natanael, hijo de Zuar, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Isacar;

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar Nathaneel son of Zuar.

16 y Eliab, hijo de Helón, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón.

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun Eliab son of Helon;

17 E ntonces el tabernáculo fue desarmado; y los hijos de Gersón, y los hijos de Merari, que llevaban el tabernáculo, partieron.

And the tabernacle hath been taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle.

18 D espués partió la bandera del campamento de Rubén, según sus ejércitos, con Elisur, hijo de Sedeur, al frente de su ejército;

And the standard of the camp of Reuben hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host Elizur son of Shedeur.

19 y Selumiel, hijo de Zurisadai, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón,

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.

20 y Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel, estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Gad.

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad Eliasaph son of Deuel;

21 L uego se pusieron en marcha los coatitas llevando los objetos sagrados; y el tabernáculo fue erigido antes de que ellos llegaran.

And the Kohathites have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle, and the have raised up the tabernacle until their coming in.

22 D espués partió la bandera del campamento de los hijos de Efraín, según sus ejércitos, con Elisama, hijo de Amiud, al frente de su ejército;

And the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host Elishama son of Ammihud.

23 y Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Manasés;

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh Gamalial son of Pedahzur.

24 y Abidán, hijo de Gedeoni, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín.

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin Abidan son of Gideoni.

25 D espués partió la bandera del campamento de los hijos de Dan, según sus ejércitos, los cuales formaban la retaguardia de todos los campamentos, con Ahiezer, hijo de Amisadai, al frente de su ejército;

And the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan hath journeyed (rearward to all the camps), by their hosts, and over its host Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.

26 y Pagiel, hijo de Ocrán, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Aser;

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher Pagiel son of Ocran.

27 y Ahira, hijo de Enán, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí.

And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali Ahira son of Enan.

28 E ste fue el orden de marcha de los hijos de Israel por sus ejércitos cuando partieron. La marcha de Sinaí a Edom

These journeyings of the sons of Israel by their hosts -- and they journey.

29 E ntonces Moisés dijo a Hobab, hijo de Reuel madianita, suegro de Moisés: Nosotros partimos hacia el lugar del cual el Señor dijo: “Yo os lo daré.” Ven con nosotros y te haremos bien, pues el Señor ha prometido el bien a Israel.

And Moses saith to Hobab son of Raguel the Midianite, father-in-law of Moses, `We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah hath said, I give it to you; go with us, and we have done good to thee; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel.'

30 P ero él le dijo: No iré, sino que me iré a mi tierra y a mi parentela.

And he saith unto him, `I do not go; but unto my land and unto my kindred do I go.'

31 D espués dijo Moisés: Te ruego que no nos dejes, puesto que tú sabes dónde debemos acampar en el desierto, y serás como ojos para nosotros.

And he saith, `I pray thee, forsake us not, because thou hast known our encamping in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us for eyes;

32 Y será que si vienes con nosotros, el bien que el Señor nos haga, nosotros te haremos.

and it hath come to pass when thou goest with us, yea, it hath come to pass -- that good which Jehovah doth kindly with us -- it we have done kindly to thee.'

33 A sí partieron desde el monte del Señor tres días de camino, y el arca del pacto del Señor iba delante de ellos por los tres días, buscándoles un lugar dónde descansar.

And they journey from the mount of Jehovah a journey of three days; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is journeying before them the journey of three days, to spy out for them a resting-place;

34 Y la nube del Señor iba sobre ellos de día desde que partieron del campamento.

and the cloud of Jehovah on them by day, in their journeying from the camp.

35 Y sucedía que cuando el arca se ponía en marcha, Moisés decía: ¡Levántate, oh Señor! y sean dispersados tus enemigos, huyan de tu presencia los que te aborrecen.

And it cometh to pass in the journeying of the ark, that Moses saith, `Rise, O Jehovah, and Thine enemies are scattered, and those hating Thee flee from Thy presence.'

36 Y cuando el arca descansaba, él decía: Vuelve, oh Señor, a los millares de millares de Israel.

And in its resting he saith, `Return, O Jehovah, the myriads, the thousands of Israel.'
