1 ¿ Se atreve alguno de vosotros, cuando tiene algo contra su prójimo, a ir a juicio ante los incrédulos y no ante los santos ?

Dare any one of you, having a matter with the other, go to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

2 ¿ O no sabéis que los santos han de juzgar al mundo ? Y si el mundo es juzgado por vosotros, ¿no sois competentes para juzgar los casos más triviales ?

have ye not known that the saints shall judge the world? and if by you the world is judged, are ye unworthy of the smaller judgments?

3 ¿ No sabéis que hemos de juzgar a los ángeles? ¡Cuánto más asuntos de esta vida!

have ye not known that we shall judge messengers? why not then the things of life?

4 E ntonces, si tenéis tribunales que juzgan los casos de esta vida, ¿ por qué ponéis por jueces a los que nada son en la iglesia?

of the things of life, indeed, then, if ye may have judgment, those despised in the assembly -- these cause ye to sit;

5 P ara vergüenza vuestra lo digo. ¿ Acaso no hay entre vosotros algún hombre sabio que pueda juzgar entre sus hermanos,

unto your shame I speak: so there is not among you one wise man, not even one, who shall be able to discern in the midst of his brethren!

6 s ino que hermano contra hermano litiga, y esto ante incrédulos ?

but brother with brother doth go to be judged, and this before unbelievers!

7 A sí que, en efecto, es ya un fallo entre vosotros el hecho de que tengáis litigios entre vosotros. ¿Por qué no sufrís mejor la injusticia? ¿Por qué no ser mejor defraudados ?

Already, indeed, then, there is altogether a fault among you, that ye have judgments with one another; wherefore do ye not rather suffer injustice? wherefore be ye not rather defrauded?

8 P or el contrario, vosotros mismos cometéis injusticias y defraudáis, y esto a los hermanos.

but ye -- ye do injustice, and ye defraud, and these -- brethren!

9 ¿ O no sabéis que los injustos no heredarán el reino de Dios ? No os dejéis engañar: ni los inmorales, ni los idólatras, ni los adúlteros, ni los afeminados, ni los homosexuales,

have ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,

10 n i los ladrones, ni los avaros, ni los borrachos, ni los difamadores, ni los estafadores heredarán el reino de Dios.

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit.

11 Y esto erais algunos de vosotros; pero fuisteis lavados, pero fuisteis santificados, pero fuisteis justificados en el nombre del Señor Jesucristo y en el Espíritu de nuestro Dios. El cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo

And certain of you were these! but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were declared righteous, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

12 T odas las cosas me son lícitas, pero no todas son de provecho. Todas las cosas me son lícitas, pero yo no me dejaré dominar por ninguna.

All things are lawful to me, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful to me, but I -- I will not be under authority by any;

13 L os alimentos son para el estómago y el estómago para los alimentos, pero Dios destruirá a los dos. Sin embargo, el cuerpo no es para la fornicación, sino para el Señor, y el Señor es para el cuerpo.

the meats for the belly, and the belly for the meats. And God both this and these shall make useless; and the body not for whoredom, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body;

14 Y Dios, que resucitó al Señor, también nos resucitará a nosotros mediante su poder.

and God both the Lord did raise, and us will raise up through His power.

15 ¿ No sabéis que vuestros cuerpos son miembros de Cristo ? ¿Tomaré, acaso, los miembros de Cristo y los haré miembros de una ramera? ¡De ningún modo!

Have ye not known that your bodies are members of Christ? having taken, then, the members of the Christ, shall I make members of an harlot? let it be not!

16 ¿ O no sabéis que el que se une a una ramera es un cuerpo con ella ? Porque El dice: Los dos vendran a ser una sola carne.

have ye not known that he who is joined to the harlot is one body? `for they shall be -- saith He -- the two for one flesh.'

17 P ero el que se une al Señor, es un espíritu con El.

And he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit;

18 H uid de la fornicación. Todos los demás pecados que un hombre comete están fuera del cuerpo, pero el fornicario peca contra su propio cuerpo.

flee the whoredom; every sin -- whatever a man may commit -- is without the body, and he who is committing whoredom, against his own body doth sin.

19 ¿ O no sabéis que vuestro cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo, que está en vosotros, el cual tenéis de Dios, y que no sois vuestros ?

Have ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own,

20 P ues por precio habéis sido comprados; por tanto, glorificad a Dios en vuestro cuerpo y en vuestro espíritu, los cuales son de Dios.

for ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
