1 Y el Señor dijo a Moisés: Lábrate dos tablas de piedra como las anteriores, y yo escribiré sobre las tablas las palabras que estaban en las primeras tablas que tú quebraste.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Hew for thyself two tables of stone like the first, and I have written on the tables the words which were on the first tables which thou hast broken;

2 P repárate, pues, para la mañana, y sube temprano al monte Sinaí, y allí preséntate a mí en la cumbre del monte.

and be prepared at morning, and thou hast come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and hast stood before Me there, on the top of the mount,

3 Y que no suba nadie contigo, ni se vea a nadie en todo el monte; ni siquiera ovejas ni bueyes pasten delante de ese monte.

and no man cometh up with thee, and also no man is seen in all the mount, also the flock and the herd do not feed over-against that mount.'

4 M oisés, pues, labró dos tablas de piedra como las anteriores, se levantó muy de mañana y subió al monte Sinaí, como el Señor le había mandado, llevando en su mano las dos tablas de piedra.

And he heweth two tables of stone like the first, and Moses riseth early in the morning, and goeth up unto mount Sinai, as Jehovah commanded him, and he taketh in his hand two tables of stone.

5 Y el Señor descendió en la nube y estuvo allí con él, mientras éste invocaba el nombre del Señor.

And Jehovah cometh down in a cloud, and stationeth Himself with him there, and calleth in the Name of Jehovah,

6 E ntonces pasó el Señor por delante de él y proclamó: El Señor, el Señor, Dios compasivo y clemente, lento para la ira y abundante en misericordia y fidelidad;

and Jehovah passeth over before his face, and calleth: `Jehovah, Jehovah God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth,

7 e l que guarda misericordia a millares, el que perdona la iniquidad, la transgresión y el pecado, y que no tendrá por inocente al culpable; el que castiga la iniquidad de los padres sobre los hijos y sobre los hijos de los hijos hasta la tercera y cuarta generación.

keeping kindness for thousands, taking away iniquity, and transgression, and sin, and not entirely acquitting, charging iniquity of fathers on children, and on children's children, on a third, and on a fourth.'

8 Y Moisés se apresuró a inclinarse a tierra y adoró,

And Moses hasteth, and boweth to the earth, and doth obeisance,

9 y dijo: Si ahora, Señor, he hallado gracia ante tus ojos, vaya ahora el Señor en medio de nosotros, aunque el pueblo sea de dura cerviz; y perdona nuestra iniquidad y nuestro pecado, y tómanos por posesión tuya. Advertencia contra la idolatría

and saith, `If, I pray Thee, I have found grace in Thine eyes, O my Lord, let my Lord, I pray Thee, go in our midst (for it a stiff-necked people), and thou hast forgiven our iniquity and our sin, and hast inherited us.'

10 Y Dios contestó: He aquí, voy a hacer un pacto. Delante de todo tu pueblo haré maravillas que no se han hecho en toda la tierra ni en ninguna de las naciones; y todo el pueblo en medio del cual habitas verá la obra del Señor, porque es cosa temible la que haré por medio de ti.

And He saith, `Lo, I am making a covenant: before all thy people I do wonders, which have not been done in all the earth, or in any nation, and all the people in whose midst thou have seen the work of Jehovah, for it fearful that which I am doing with thee.

11 O bserva lo que te mando hoy: he aquí, yo echo de delante de ti al amorreo, al cananeo, al hitita, al ferezeo, al heveo y al jebuseo.

`Observe for thyself that which I am commanding thee to-day: lo, I am casting out from before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite;

12 C uídate de no hacer pacto con los habitantes de la tierra adonde vas, no sea que esto se convierta en tropezadero en medio de ti;

take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitant of the land into which thou art going, lest it become a snare in thy midst;

13 s ino que derribaréis sus altares y quebraréis sus pilares sagrados y cortaréis sus Aseras

for their altars ye break down, and their standing pillars ye shiver, and its shrines ye cut down;

14 ( pues no adorarás a ningún otro dios, ya que el Señor, cuyo nombre es Celoso, es Dios celoso )

for ye do not bow yourselves to another god -- for Jehovah, whose name Zealous, is a zealous God.

15 n o sea que hagas pacto con los habitantes de aquella tierra, y cuando se prostituyan con sus dioses y les ofrezcan sacrificios, alguien te invite y comas de su sacrificio;

`Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, and they have gone a-whoring after their gods, and have sacrificed to their gods, and hath called to thee, and thou hast eaten of his sacrifice,

16 y tomes de sus hijas para tus hijos, y ellas se prostituyan con sus dioses, y hagan que también tus hijos se prostituyan con los dioses de ellas.

and thou hast taken of their daughters to thy sons, and their daughters have gone a-whoring after their gods, and have caused thy sons to go a-whoring after their gods;

17 N o te harás dioses de fundición.

a molten god thou dost not make to thyself.

18 G uardarás la fiesta de los panes sin levadura. Según te he mandado, por siete días comerás panes sin levadura en el tiempo señalado en el mes de Abib, porque en el mes de Abib saliste de Egipto.

`The feast of unleavened things thou dost keep; seven days thou dost eat unleavened things, as I have commanded thee, at an appointed time, the month of Abib: for in the month of Abib thou didst come out from Egypt.

19 T odo primer nacido de matriz me pertenece, y de todo ganado tuyo, el primer nacido de vaca y de oveja, que sea macho.

`All opening a womb Mine, and every firstling of thy cattle born a male, ox or sheep;

20 R edimirás con una oveja el primer nacido de asno; y si no lo redimes, quebrarás su cerviz. Redimirás a todo primogénito de tus hijos; y nadie se presentará ante mí con las manos vacías.

and the firstling of an ass thou dost ransom with a lamb; and if thou dost not ransom, then thou hast beheaded it; every first-born of thy sons thou dost ransom, and they do not appear before Me empty.

21 S eis días trabajarás, mas en el séptimo día descansarás; aun en el tiempo de arar y de segar, descansarás.

`Six days thou dost work, and on the seventh day thou dost rest; in ploughing-time and in harvest thou dost rest.

22 T ambién celebrarás la fiesta de las semanas, es decir, los primeros frutos de la siega del trigo, y la fiesta de la cosecha al final del año.

`And a feast of weeks thou dost observe for thyself; first-fruits of wheat-harvest; and the feast of in-gathering, at the revolution of the year.

23 T res veces al año se presentarán todos tus varones delante de Dios, el Señor, Dios de Israel.

`Three times in a year do all thy males appear before the Lord Jehovah, God of Israel;

24 P orque yo expulsaré a las naciones de tu presencia y ensancharé tus fronteras, y nadie codiciará tu tierra cuando subas tres veces al año a presentarte delante del Señor tu Dios.

for I dispossess nations from before thee, and have enlarged thy border, and no man doth desire thy land in thy going up to appear before Jehovah thy God three times in a year.

25 N o ofrecerás la sangre de mi sacrificio con pan leudado, ni se dejará nada del sacrificio de la fiesta de la Pascua hasta la mañana.

`Thou dost not slaughter with a fermented thing the blood of My sacrifice; and the sacrifice of the feast of the passover doth not remain till morning:

26 T raerás a la casa del Señor tu Dios las primicias de los primeros frutos de tu tierra. No cocerás el cabrito en la leche de su madre.

the first of the first-fruits of the land thou dost bring into the house of Jehovah thy God; thou dost not boil a kid in its mother's milk.'

27 E ntonces el Señor dijo a Moisés: Escríbete estas palabras; porque conforme a estas palabras he hecho un pacto contigo y con Israel.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Write for thyself these words, for, according to the tenor of these words I have made with thee a covenant, and with Israel.'

28 Y Moisés estuvo allí con el Señor cuarenta días y cuarenta noches; no comió pan ni bebió agua. Y escribió en las tablas las palabras del pacto, los diez mandamientos. La faz de Moisés resplandece

And he is there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; bread he hath not eaten, and water he hath not drunk; and he writeth on the tables the matters of the covenant -- the ten matters.

29 Y aconteció que cuando Moisés descendía del monte Sinaí con las dos tablas del testimonio en su mano, al descender del monte, Moisés no sabía que la piel de su rostro resplandecía por haber hablado con Dios.

And it cometh to pass, when Moses is coming down from mount Sinai (and the two tables of the testimony in the hand of Moses in his coming down from the mount), that Moses hath not known that the skin of his face hath shone in His speaking with him,

30 Y al ver Aarón y todos los hijos de Israel a Moisés, he aquí, la piel de su rostro resplandecía; y tuvieron temor de acercarse a él.

and Aaron seeth -- all the sons of Israel also -- Moses, and lo, the skin of his face hath shone, and they are afraid of coming nigh unto him.

31 E ntonces Moisés los llamó, y Aarón y todos los jefes de la congregación volvieron a él; y Moisés les habló.

And Moses calleth unto them, and Aaron and all the princes in the company return unto him, and Moses speaketh unto them;

32 Y después se acercaron todos los hijos de Israel, y él les mandó que hicieran todo lo que el Señor había hablado con él en el monte Sinaí.

and afterwards have all the sons of Israel come nigh, and he chargeth them with all that Jehovah hath spoken with him in mount Sinai.

33 C uando Moisés acabó de hablar con ellos, puso un velo sobre su rostro.

And Moses finisheth speaking with them, and putteth on his face a vail;

34 P ero siempre que Moisés entraba a la presencia del Señor para hablar con El, se quitaba el velo hasta que salía; y siempre que salía y decía a los hijos de Israel lo que se le había mandado,

and in the going in of Moses before Jehovah to speak with Him, he turneth aside the vail until his coming out; and he hath come out and hath spoken unto the sons of Israel that which he is commanded;

35 l os hijos de Israel veían que la piel del rostro de Moisés resplandecía. Y Moisés volvía a ponerse el velo sobre su rostro hasta que entraba a hablar con Dios.

and the sons of Israel have seen the face of Moses that the skin of the face of Moses hath shone, and Moses hath put back the vail on his face until his going in to speak with Him.
