1 N o te irrites a causa de los malhechores; no tengas envidia de los que practican la iniquidad.

By David. Do not fret because of evil doers, Be not envious against doers of iniquity,

2 P orque como la hierba pronto se secarán, y se marchitarán como la hierba verde.

For as grass speedily they are cut off, And as the greenness of the tender grass do fade.

3 C onfía en el Señor, y haz el bien; habita en la tierra, y cultiva la fidelidad.

Trust in Jehovah, and do good, Dwell the land, and enjoy faithfulness,

4 P on tu delicia en el Señor, y El te dará las peticiones de tu corazón.

And delight thyself on Jehovah, And He giveth to thee the petitions of thy heart.

5 E ncomienda al Señor tu camino, confía en El, que El actuará;

Roll on Jehovah thy way, And trust upon Him, and He worketh,

6 h ará resplandecer tu justicia como la luz, y tu derecho como el mediodía.

And hath brought out as light thy righteousness, And thy judgment as noon-day.

7 C onfía callado en el Señor y espérale con paciencia; no te irrites a causa del que prospera en su camino, por el hombre que lleva a cabo sus intrigas.

Be silent for Jehovah, and stay thyself for Him, Do not fret because of him Who is making prosperous his way, Because of a man doing wicked devices.

8 D eja la ira y abandona el furor; no te irrites, sólo harías lo malo.

Desist from anger, and forsake fury, Fret not thyself only to do evil.

9 P orque los malhechores serán exterminados, mas los que esperan en el Señor poseerán la tierra.

For evil doers are cut off, As to those waiting on Jehovah, they possess the land.

10 U n poco más y no existirá el impío; buscarás con cuidado su lugar, pero él no estará allí.

And yet a little, and the wicked is not, And thou hast considered his place, and it is not.

11 M as los humildes poseerán la tierra, y se deleitarán en abundante prosperidad.

And the humble do possess the land, And they have delighted themselves In the abundance of peace.

12 E l impío trama contra el justo, y contra él rechina sus dientes.

The wicked is devising against the righteous, And gnashing against him his teeth.

13 E l Señor se ríe de él, porque ve que su día se acerca.

The Lord doth laugh at him, For He hath seen that his day cometh.

14 L os impíos han sacado la espada y entesado el arco, para abatir al afligido y al necesitado, para matar a los de recto proceder.

A sword have the wicked opened, And they have trodden their bow, To cause to fall the poor and needy, To slaughter the upright of the way.

15 S u espada penetrará en su propio corazón, y sus arcos serán quebrados.

Their sword doth enter into their own heart, And their bows are shivered.

16 M ejor es lo poco del justo que la abundancia de muchos impíos.

Better the little of the righteous, Than the store of many wicked.

17 P orque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados; mas el Señor sostiene a los justos.

For the arms of the wicked are shivered, And Jehovah is sustaining the righteous.

18 E l Señor conoce los días de los íntegros, y su herencia será perpetua.

Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect, And their inheritance is -- to the age.

19 N o serán avergonzados en el tiempo malo, y en días de hambre se saciarán.

They are not ashamed in a time of evil, And in days of famine they are satisfied.

20 P ero los impíos perecerán, y los enemigos del Señor serán como la hermosura de los prados; desaparecen, se desvanecen como el humo.

But the wicked perish, and the enemies of Jehovah, As the preciousness of lambs, Have been consumed, In smoke they have been consumed.

21 E l impío pide prestado y no paga, mas el justo es compasivo y da.

The wicked is borrowing and repayeth not, And the righteous is gracious and giving.

22 P orque los que son bendecidos por el Señor poseerán la tierra, pero los maldecidos por El serán exterminados.

For His blessed ones do possess the land, And His reviled ones are cut off.

23 P or el Señor son ordenados los pasos del hombre, y el Señor se deleita en su camino.

From Jehovah the steps of a man, They have been prepared, And his way he desireth.

24 C uando caiga, no quedará derribado, porque el Señor sostiene su mano.

When he falleth, he is not cast down, For Jehovah is sustaining his hand.

25 Y o fui joven, y ya soy viejo, y no he visto al justo desamparado, ni a su descendencia mendigando pan.

Young I have been, I have also become old, And I have not seen the righteous forsaken, And his seed seeking bread.

26 T odo el día es compasivo y presta, y su descendencia es para bendición.

All the day he is gracious and lending, And his seed for a blessing.

27 A pártate del mal y haz el bien, y tendrás morada para siempre.

Turn aside from evil, and do good, and dwell to the age.

28 P orque el Señor ama la justicia, y no abandona a sus santos; ellos son preservados para siempre, pero la descendencia de los impíos será exterminada.

For Jehovah is loving judgment, And He doth not forsake His saintly ones, To the age they have been kept, And the seed of the wicked is cut off.

29 L os justos poseerán la tierra, y para siempre morarán en ella.

The righteous possess the land, And they dwell for ever on it.

30 L a boca del justo profiere sabiduría y su lengua habla rectitud.

The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, And his tongue speaketh judgment.

31 L a ley de su Dios está en su corazón; no vacilan sus pasos.

The law of his God his heart, His steps do not slide.

32 E l impío acecha al justo y procura matarlo.

The wicked is watching for the righteous, And is seeking to put him to death.

33 E l Señor no dejará al justo en sus manos, ni permitirá que lo condenen cuando sea juzgado.

Jehovah doth not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him in his being judged.

34 E spera en el Señor y guarda su camino, y El te exaltará para que poseas la tierra; cuando los impíos sean exterminados, tú lo verás.

Look unto Jehovah, and keep His way, And He doth exalt thee to possess the land, In the wicked being cut off -- thou seest!

35 H e visto al impío, violento, extenderse como frondoso árbol en su propio suelo.

I have seen the wicked terrible, And spreading as a green native plant,

36 L uego pasó, y he aquí, ya no estaba; lo busqué, pero no se le halló.

And he passeth away, and lo, he is not, And I seek him, and he is not found!

37 O bserva al que es íntegro, mira al que es recto; porque el hombre de paz tendrá descendencia.

Observe the perfect, and see the upright, For the latter end of each peace.

38 P ero los transgresores serán destruidos a una; la posteridad de los impíos será exterminada.

And transgressors were destroyed together, The latter end of the wicked was cut off.

39 M as la salvación de los justos viene del Señor; El es su fortaleza en el tiempo de la angustia.

And the salvation of the righteous from Jehovah, Their strong place in a time of adversity.

40 E l Señor los ayuda y los libra; los libra de los impíos y los salva, porque en El se refugian.

And Jehovah doth help them and deliver them, He delivereth them from the wicked, And saveth them, Because they trusted in Him!
