1 E n el primer año de Ciro, rey de Persia, para que se cumpliera la palabra del Señor por boca de Jeremías, el Señor movió el espíritu de Ciro, rey de Persia, y éste hizo proclamar por todo su reino y también por escrito, diciendo:

And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, at the completion of the word of Jehovah from the mouth of Jeremiah, hath Jehovah waked up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he causeth an intimation to pass over into all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying,

2 A sí dice Ciro, rey de Persia: “El Señor, el Dios de los cielos, me ha dado todos los reinos de la tierra, y El me ha designado para que le edifique una casa en Jerusalén, que está en Judá.

`Thus said Cyrus king of Persia, All kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, God of the heavens, given to me, and He hath laid a charge on me to build to Him a house in Jerusalem, that in Judah;

3 “ El que de entre todos vosotros pertenezca a su pueblo, sea su Dios con él. Que suba a Jerusalén, que está en Judá, y edifique la casa del Señor, Dios de Israel; El es el Dios que está en Jerusalén.

who among you of all His people? His God is with him, and he doth go up to Jerusalem, that in Judah, and build the house of Jehovah, God of Israel -- He God -- that in Jerusalem.

4 “ Y a todo sobreviviente, en cualquier lugar que habite, que los hombres de aquel lugar lo ayuden con plata y oro, con bienes y ganado, junto con una ofrenda voluntaria para la casa de Dios que está en Jerusalén.”

`And every one who is left, of any of the places where he a sojourner, assist him do the men of his place with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, along with a free-will offering for the house of God, that in Jerusalem.'

5 E ntonces se levantaron los jefes de las casas paternas de Judá y de Benjamín, y los sacerdotes y los levitas, y todos aquellos cuyo espíritu Dios había movido a subir para edificar la casa del Señor que está en Jerusalén.

And heads of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin rise, and the priests and the Levites, even every one whose spirit God hath waked, to go up to build the house of Jehovah, that in Jerusalem;

6 Y todos los que habitaban alrededor de ellos les ayudaron con objetos de plata, con oro, con bienes, con ganado y con objetos preciosos, además de todo lo que fue dado como ofrenda voluntaria.

and all those round about them have strengthened with their hands, with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, apart from all that hath been offered willingly.

7 T ambién el rey Ciro sacó los objetos de la casa del Señor que Nabucodonosor se había llevado de Jerusalén y había puesto en la casa de sus dioses;

And the king Cyrus hath brought out the vessels of the house of Jehovah that Nebuchadnezzar hath brought out of Jerusalem, and putteth them in the house of his gods;

8 C iro, rey de Persia, los hizo sacar por mano del tesorero Mitrídates, que los dio contados a Sesbasar, príncipe de Judá.

yea, Cyrus king of Persia bringeth them out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbereth them to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah.

9 Y este fue su número: treinta platos de oro, mil platos de plata, veintinueve duplicados;

And this their number: dishes of gold thirty, dishes of silver a thousand, knives nine and twenty,

10 t azas de oro, treinta; tazas de plata de otra clase, cuatrocientas diez; y otros objetos, mil.

basins of gold thirty, basins of silver (seconds) four hundred and ten, other vessels a thousand.

11 T odos los objetos de oro y de plata fueron cinco mil cuatrocientos. Sesbasar los trajo todos con los desterrados que subieron de Babilonia a Jerusalén.

All the vessels of gold and of silver five thousand and four hundred; the whole hath Sheshbazzar brought up with the going up of the removal from Babylon to Jerusalem.
