1 L a revelación de Jesucristo, que Dios le dio, para mostrar a sus siervos las cosas que deben suceder pronto; y la dio a conocer, enviándo la por medio de su ángel a su siervo Juan,

A revelation of Jesus Christ, that God gave to him, to shew to his servants what things it behoveth to come to pass quickly; and he did signify, having sent through his messenger to his servant John,

2 e l cual dio testimonio de la palabra de Dios, y del testimonio de Jesucristo, y de todo lo que vio.

who did testify the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, as many things also as he did see.

3 B ienaventurado el que lee y los que oyen las palabras de la profecía y guardan las cosas que están escritas en ella, porque el tiempo está cerca. Saludo a las siete iglesias

Happy is he who is reading, and those hearing, the words of the prophecy, and keeping the things written in it -- for the time is nigh!

4 J uan, a las siete iglesias que están en Asia: Gracia a vosotros y paz, de aquel que es y que era y que ha de venir, y de los siete Espíritus que están delante de su trono,

John to the seven assemblies that in Asia: Grace to you, and peace, from Him who is, and who was, and who is coming, and from the Seven Spirits that are before His throne,

5 y de Jesucristo, el testigo fiel, el primogénito de los muertos y el soberano de los reyes de la tierra. Al que nos ama y nos libertó de nuestros pecados con su sangre,

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-born out of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth; to him who did love us, and did bathe us from our sins in his blood,

6 e hizo de nosotros un reino y sacerdotes para su Dios y Padre, a El sea la gloria y el dominio por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

and did make us kings and priests to his God and Father, to him the glory and the power to the ages of the ages! Amen.

7 H e aqui, viene con las nubes y todo ojo le verá, aun los que le traspasaron; y todas las tribus de la tierra harán lamentación por El; sí. Amén.

Lo, he doth come with the clouds, and see him shall every eye, even those who did pierce him, and wail because of him shall all the tribes of the land. Yes! Amen!

8 Y o soy el Alfa y la Omega —dice el Señor Dios — el que es y que era y que ha de venir, el Todopoderoso. Visión de Cristo

`I am the Alpha and the Omega, beginning and end, saith the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is coming -- the Almighty.'

9 Y o, Juan, vuestro hermano y compañero en la tribulación, en el reino y en la perseverancia en Jesús, me encontraba en la isla llamada Patmos, a causa de la palabra de Dios y del testimonio de Jesús.

I, John, who also your brother, and fellow-partner in the tribulation, and in the reign and endurance, of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, because of the word of God, and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ;

10 E staba yo en el Espíritu en el día del Señor, y oí detrás de mí una gran voz, como sonido de trompeta,

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's-day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying,

11 q ue decía: Escribe en un libro lo que ves, y envía lo a las siete iglesias: a Efeso, Esmirna, Pérgamo, Tiatira, Sardis, Filadelfia y Laodicea.

`I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last;' and, `What thou dost see, write in a scroll, and send to the seven assemblies that in Asia; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.'

12 Y me volví para ver de quién era la voz que hablaba conmigo. Y al volverme, vi siete candelabros de oro;

And I did turn to see the voice that did speak with me, and having turned, I saw seven golden lamp-stands,

13 y en medio de los candelabros, vi a uno semejante al Hijo del Hombre, vestido con una túnica que le llegaba hasta los pies y ceñido por el pecho con un cinto de oro.

and in the midst of the seven lamp-stands, like to a son of man, clothed to the foot, and girt round at the breast with a golden girdle,

14 S u cabeza y sus cabellos eran blancos como la blanca lana, como la nieve; sus ojos eran como llama de fuego;

and his head and hairs white, as if white wool -- as snow, and his eyes as a flame of fire;

15 s us pies semejantes al bronce bruñido cuando se le ha hecho refulgir en el horno, y su voz como el ruido de muchas aguas.

and his feet like to fine brass, as in a furnace having been fired, and his voice as a sound of many waters,

16 E n su mano derecha tenía siete estrellas, y de su boca salía una aguda espada de dos filos; su rostro era como el sol cuando brilla con toda su fuerza.

and having in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth a sharp two-edged sword is proceeding, and his countenance as the sun shining in its might.

17 C uando le vi, caí como muerto a sus pies. Y El puso su mano derecha sobre mí, diciendo: No temas, yo soy el primero y el último,

And when I saw him, I did fall at his feet as dead, and he placed his right hand upon me, saying to me, `Be not afraid; I am the First and the Last,

18 y el que vive, y estuve muerto; y he aquí, estoy vivo por los siglos de los siglos, y tengo las llaves de la muerte y del Hades.

and he who is living, and I did become dead, and, lo, I am living to the ages of the ages. Amen! and I have the keys of the hades and of the death.

19 E scribe, pues, las cosas que has visto, y las que son, y las que han de suceder después de éstas.

`Write the things that thou hast seen, and the things that are, and the things that are about to come after these things;

20 E n cuanto al misterio de las siete estrellas que viste en mi mano derecha y de los siete candelabros de oro: las siete estrellas son los ángeles de las siete iglesias, y los siete candelabros son las siete iglesias.

the secret of the seven stars that thou hast seen upon my right hand, and the seven golden lamp-stands: the seven stars are messengers of the seven assemblies, and the seven lamp-stands that thou hast seen are seven assemblies.
