1 S eñor, no me reprendas en tu enojo, ni me castigues en tu furor.

A Psalm of David, `To cause to remember.' Jehovah, in Thy wrath reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me.

2 P orque tus saetas se han clavado en mí, y sobre mí ha descendido tu mano.

For Thine arrows have come down on me, And Thou lettest down upon me Thy hand.

3 N ada hay sano en mi carne a causa de tu indignación; en mis huesos no hay salud a causa de mi pecado.

Soundness is not in my flesh, Because of Thine indignation, Peace is not in my bones because of my sin.

4 P orque mis iniquidades han sobrepasado mi cabeza; como pesada carga, pesan mucho para mí.

For mine iniquities have passed over my head, As a heavy burden -- too heavy for me.

5 M is llagas hieden y supuran. A causa de mi necedad,

Stunk -- become corrupt have my wounds, Because of my folly.

6 e stoy encorvado y abatido en gran manera, y ando sombrío todo el día.

I have been bent down, I have been bowed down -- unto excess, All the day I have gone mourning.

7 P orque mis lomos están inflamados de fiebre, y nada hay sano en mi carne.

For my flanks have been full of drought, And soundness is not in my flesh.

8 E stoy entumecido y abatido en gran manera; gimo a causa de la agitación de mi corazón.

I have been feeble and smitten -- unto excess, I have roared from disquietude of heart.

9 S eñor, todo mi anhelo está delante de ti, y mi suspiro no te es oculto.

Lord, before Thee all my desire, And my sighing from Thee hath not been hid.

10 P alpita mi corazón, mis fuerzas me abandonan, y aun la luz de mis ojos se ha ido de mí.

My heart panting, my power hath forsaken me, And the light of mine eyes, Even they are not with me.

11 M is amigos y mis compañeros se mantienen lejos de mi plaga, y mis parientes se mantienen a distancia.

My lovers and my friends over-against my plague stand. And my neighbours afar off have stood.

12 L os que buscan mi vida me tienden lazos; los que procuran mi mal hablan de mi destrucción, y traman traición todo el día.

And those seeking my soul lay a snare, And those seeking my evil Have spoken mischievous things, And they do deceits meditate all the day.

13 M as yo, como el sordo, no oigo; soy como el mudo que no abre la boca.

And I, as deaf, hear not. And as a dumb one who openeth not his mouth.

14 S í, soy como el hombre que no oye, y en cuya boca no hay réplica.

Yea, I am as a man who heareth not, And in his mouth are no reproofs.

15 P orque en ti espero, oh Señor; tú responderás, Señor, Dios mío.

Because for Thee, O Jehovah, I have waited, Thou dost answer, O Lord my God.

16 P ues dije: Que no se alegren de mí los que, cuando mi pie resbala, se engrandecen sobre mí.

When I said, `Lest they rejoice over me, In the slipping of my foot against me they magnified themselves.

17 P orque yo estoy a punto de caer, y mi dolor está continuamente delante de mí.

For I am ready to halt, And my pain before me continually.

18 C onfieso, pues, mi iniquidad; afligido estoy a causa de mi pecado.

For mine iniquity I declare, I am sorry for my sin.

19 P ero mis enemigos son vigorosos y fuertes; muchos son los que sin causa me aborrecen.

And mine enemies lively, They have been strong, and those hating me without cause, Have been multiplied.

20 Y los que pagan mal por bien se me oponen, porque yo sigo lo bueno.

And those paying evil for good accuse me, Because of my pursuing good.

21 N o me abandones, oh Señor; Dios mío, no estés lejos de mí.

Do not forsake me, O Jehovah, My God, be not far from me,

22 A presúrate a socorrerme, oh Señor, salvación mía.

Haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!
