1 P asado el día de reposo, María Magdalena, María, la madre de Jacobo, y Salomé, compraron especias aromáticas para ir a ungirle.

And the sabbath having past, Mary the Magdalene, and Mary of James, and Salome, bought spices, that having come, they may anoint him,

2 Y muy de mañana, el primer día de la semana, llegaron al sepulcro cuando el sol ya había salido.

and early in the morning of the first of the sabbaths, they come unto the sepulchre, at the rising of the sun,

3 Y se decían unas a otras: ¿Quién nos removerá la piedra de la entrada del sepulcro ?

and they said among themselves, `Who shall roll away for us the stone out of the door of the sepulchre?'

4 C uando levantaron los ojos, vieron que la piedra, aunque era sumamente grande, había sido removida.

And having looked, they see that the stone hath been rolled away -- for it was very great,

5 Y entrando en el sepulcro, vieron a un joven sentado al lado derecho, vestido con ropaje blanco; y ellas se asustaron.

and having entered into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right hand, arrayed in a long white robe, and they were amazed.

6 P ero él les dijo: No os asustéis; buscáis a Jesús nazareno, el crucificado. Ha resucitado, no está aquí; mirad el lugar donde le pusieron.

And he saith to them, `Be not amazed, ye seek Jesus the Nazarene, the crucified: he did rise -- he is not here; lo, the place where they laid him!

7 P ero id, decid a sus discípulos y a Pedro: “El va delante de vosotros a Galilea; allí le veréis, tal como os dijo.”

and go, say to his disciples, and Peter, that he doth go before you to Galilee; there ye shall see him, as he said to you.'

8 Y saliendo ellas, huyeron del sepulcro, porque un gran temblor y espanto se había apoderado de ellas; y no dijeron nada a nadie porque tenían miedo. Aparición de Jesús a María Magdalena

And, having come forth quickly, they fled from the sepulchre, and trembling and amazement had seized them, and to no one said they anything, for they were afraid.

9 Y después de haber resucitado, muy temprano el primer día de la semana, Jesús se apareció primero a María Magdalena, de la que había echado fuera siete demonios.

And he, having risen in the morning of the first of the sabbaths, did appear first to Mary the Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons;

10 Y ella fue y se lo comunicó a los que habían estado con El, que estaban lamentándose y llorando.

she having gone, told those who had been with him, mourning and weeping;

11 C uando ellos oyeron que El estaba vivo y que ella le había visto, se negaron a creerlo. Aparición a dos discípulos

and they, having heard that he is alive, and was seen by her, did not believe.

12 D espués de esto, se apareció en forma distinta a dos de ellos cuando iban de camino al campo.

And after these things, to two of them, as they are going into a field, walking, he was manifested in another form,

13 Y éstos fueron y se lo comunicaron a los demás, pero a ellos tampoco les creyeron. La gran comisión

and they having gone, told to the rest; not even them did they believe.

14 D espués se apareció a los once mismos cuando estaban sentados a la mesa, y los reprendió por su incredulidad y dureza de corazón, porque no habían creído a los que le habían visto resucitado.

Afterwards, as they are reclining (at meat), he was manifested to the eleven, and did reproach their unbelief and stiffness of heart, because they believed not those having seen him being raised;

15 Y les dijo: Id por todo el mundo y predicad el evangelio a toda criatura.

and he said to them, `Having gone to all the world, proclaim the good news to all the creation;

16 E l que crea y sea bautizado será salvo; pero el que no crea será condenado.

he who hath believed, and hath been baptized, shall be saved; and he who hath not believed, shall be condemned.

17 Y estas señales acompañarán a los que han creído: en mi nombre echarán fuera demonios, hablarán en nuevas lenguas;

`And signs shall accompany those believing these things; in my name demons they shall cast out; with new tongues they shall speak;

18 t omarán serpientes en las manos, y aunque beban algo mortífero, no les hará daño; sobre los enfermos pondrán las manos, y se pondrán bien. Ascensión de Jesucristo

serpents they shall take up; and if any deadly thing they may drink, it shall not hurt them; on the ailing they shall lay hands, and they shall be well.'

19 E ntonces, el Señor Jesús, después de hablar con ellos, fue recibido en el cielo y se sentó a la diestra de Dios.

The Lord, then, indeed, after speaking to them, was received up to the heaven, and sat on the right hand of God;

20 Y ellos salieron y predicaron por todas partes, colaborando el Señor con ellos, y confirmando la palabra por medio de las señales que la seguían. Ellas comunicaron inmediatamente a Pedro y a sus compañeros todas estas instrucciones. Y después de esto, Jesús mismo envió por medio de ellos, desde el oriente hasta el occidente, el mensaje sacrosanto e incorruptible de la salvación eterna.

and they, having gone forth, did preach everywhere, the Lord working with, and confirming the word, through the signs following. Amen.
