Sons of Judah: Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

2 Y Reaía, hijo de Sobal, engendró a Jahat, y Jahat engendró a Ahumai y a Lahad. Estas fueron las familias de los zoratitas.

And Reaiah son of Shobal begat Jahath, and Jahath begat Ahumai and Lahad; these families of the Zorathite.

3 E stos fueron los hijos de Etam: Jezreel, Isma e Ibdas; y el nombre de su hermana era Hazelelponi.

And these of the father of Etam: Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash; and the name of their sister Hazzelelponi,

4 P enuel fue padre de Gedor, y Ezer, padre de Husa. Estos fueron los hijos de Hur, primogénito de Efrata, padre de Belén.

and Penuel father of Gedor, and Ezer father of Hushah. These sons of Hur, first-born of Ephratah, father of Beth-Lehem.

5 A sur, padre de Tecoa, tuvo dos mujeres: Hela y Naara.

And to Ashhur father of Tekoa were two wives, Helah and Naarah;

6 Y Naara le dio a luz a Ahuzam, Hefer, Temeni y Ahastari. Estos fueron los hijos de Naara.

and Naarah beareth to him Ahuzzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari: these sons of Naarah.

7 L os hijos de Hela fueron Zeret, Izhar y Etnán.

And sons of Helah: Zereth, and Zohar, and Ethnan.

8 Y Cos engendró a Anub y Zobeba y las familias de Aharhel, hijo de Harum.

And Coz begat Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel son of Harum.

9 Y Jabes fue más ilustre que sus hermanos, y su madre lo llamó Jabes, diciendo: Porque lo di a luz con dolor.

And Jabez is honoured above his brethren, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, `Because I have brought forth with grief.'

10 J abes invocó al Dios de Israel, diciendo: ¡Oh, si en verdad me bendijeras, ensancharas mi territorio, y tu mano estuviera conmigo y me guardaras del mal para que no me causara dolor! Y Dios le concedió lo que pidió.

And Jabez calleth to the God of Israel, saying, `If blessing Thou dost bless me, then Thou hast made great my border, and Thy hand hath been with me, and Thou hast kept from evil -- not to grieve me;' and God bringeth in that which he asked.

11 Q uelub, hermano de Súa, engendró a Mehir, que fue padre de Estón.

And Chelub brother of Shuah begat Mehir; he father of Eshton.

12 Y Estón engendró a Bet-rafa, a Paseah y a Tehina, padre de Ir-nahas. Estos son los hombres de Reca.

And Eshton begat Beth-Rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah father of Ir-Nahash; these men of Rechah.

13 L os hijos de Cenaz fueron Otoniel y Seraías. Y los hijos de Otoniel fueron Hatat y Meonotai.

And sons of Kenaz: Othniel, and Seraiah; and sons of Othniel: Hathath.

14 M eonotai engendró a Ofra, y Seraías engendró a Joab, padre de Gue-jarasim, porque eran artífices.

And Meonothai begat Ophrah, and Seraiah begat Joab father of the valley of artificers, for they were artificers.

15 L os hijos de Caleb, hijo de Jefone, fueron Iru, Ela y Naam; y el hijo de Ela fue Cenaz.

And sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam; and sons of Elah, even Kenaz.

16 L os hijos de Jehalelel fueron Zif y Zifa, Tirías y Asareel.

And sons of Jehaleleel: Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

17 L os hijos de Esdras fueron Jeter, Mered, Efer y Jalón. (Estos son los hijos de Bitia, hija de Faraón, que Mered tomó por mujer.) Bitia concibió y dio a luz a Miriam, a Samai y a Isba, padre de Estemoa.

And sons of Ezra Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she beareth Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah father of Eshtemoa.

18 Y su mujer Jehudaía dio a luz a Jered, padre de Gedor, a Heber, padre de Soco, y a Jecutiel, padre de Zanoa.

And his wife Jehudijah bare Jered father of Gedor, and Heber father of Socho, and Jekuthiel father of Zanoah. And these sons of Bithiah daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took,

19 L os hijos de la mujer de Hodías, hermana de Naham, fueron los padres de Keila garmita y Estemoa maacateo.

and sons of the wife of Hodiah sister of Nahom: Abi-Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.

20 L os hijos de Simón fueron Amnón y Rina, Ben-hanán y Tilón. Y los hijos de Isi fueron Zohet y Benzohet.

And sons of Shimon Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-Hanon, and Tilon; and sons of Ishi: Zoheth, and Ben-Zoheth.

and Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who ruled over Moab and Jashubi-Lehem; and these things ancient.

25 S alum su hijo, Mibsam su hijo, Misma su hijo.

26 L os hijos de Misma fueron Hamuel su hijo, Zacur su hijo, Simei su hijo.

And sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zacchur his son, Shimei his son.

27 Y Simei tuvo dieciséis hijos y seis hijas, pero sus hermanos no tuvieron muchos hijos, ni se multiplicaron todas sus familias como los hijos de Judá.

And to Shimei sixteen sons and six daughters, and to his brethren there are not many sons, and none of their families have multiplied as much as the sons of Judah.

28 Y habitaron en Beerseba, Molada y Hazar-sual,

And they dwell in Beer-Sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-Shaul,

29 e n Bilha, Ezem, Tolad,

and in Bilhah, and in Ezem, and in Tolad,

30 B etuel, Horma, Siclag,

and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag,

31 B et-marcabot, Hazar-susim, Bet-birai y Saaraim. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta el reinado de David.

and in Beth-Marcaboth, and in Hazar-Susim, and in Beth-Birei, and in Shaarim; these their cities till the reigning of David.

32 Y sus aldeas fueron Etam, Aín, Rimón, Toquén y Asán, cinco ciudades;

And their villages Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities,

33 y todas sus aldeas que estaban alrededor de las mismas ciudades hasta Baal. Estas fueron sus moradas, y tienen su genealogía.

and all their villages that round about these cities unto Baal; these their dwellings, and they have their genealogy:

34 Y Mesobab, Jamlec, Josías, hijo de Amasías,

even Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah son of Amaziah,

35 J oel, Jehú, hijo de Josibías, hijo de Seraías, hijo de Asiel,

and Joel, and Jehu son of Josibiah, son of Seraiah, son of Asiel,

36 E lioenai, Jaacoba, Jesohaía, Asaías, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaía,

and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,

37 Z iza, hijo de Sifi, hijo de Alón, hijo de Jedaías, hijo de Simri, hijo de Semaías;

and Ziza son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah.

38 é stos, mencionados por nombre, fueron jefes de sus familias; y sus casas paternas aumentaron en gran manera.

These who are coming in by name princes in their families, and the house of their fathers have broken forth into a multitude;

39 Y fueron a la entrada de Gedor, hasta el lado oriental del valle, para buscar pastos para sus ganados.

and they go to the entrance of Gedor, unto the east of the valley, to seek pasture for their flock,

and they find pasture, fat and good, and the land broad of sides, and quiet, and safe, for of Ham are those dwelling there before.

41 Y éstos, registrados por nombre, llegaron en los días de Ezequías, rey de Judá, y atacaron sus tiendas y a los meunitas que se encontraban allí, y los destruyeron completamente hasta el día de hoy, y habitaron en su lugar, porque había allí pastos para sus ganados.

And these who are written by name come in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smite their tents, and the habitations that have been found there, and devote them to destruction unto this day, and dwell in their stead, because pasture for their flock there.

42 Y de ellos, de los hijos de Simeón, quinientos hombres fueron al monte de Seir, con Pelatías, Nearías, Refaías y Uziel, hijos de Isi, como sus jefes.

And of them, of the sons of Simeon, there have gone to mount Seir, five hundred men, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, sons of Ishi, at their head,

43 Y destruyeron al remanente de los de Amalec, que habían escapado, y allí han habitado hasta el día de hoy.

and they smite the remnant of those escaped of Amalek, and dwell there unto this day.
