1 A lcé de nuevo mis ojos y miré, y he aquí un rollo que volaba.

And I turn back, and lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a flying roll.

2 Y me dijo el ángel: ¿Qué ves? Y respondí: Veo un rollo que vuela; su longitud es de veinte codos y su anchura de diez codos.

And he saith unto me, `What art thou seeing?' And I say, `I am seeing a flying roll, its length twenty by the cubit, and its breadth ten by the cubit.'

3 E ntonces me dijo: Esta es la maldición que sale sobre la faz de toda la tierra; ciertamente todo el que roba será destruido según lo escrito en un lado, y todo el que jura será destruido según lo escrito en el otro lado.

And he saith unto me, `This the execration that is going forth over the face of all the land, for every one who is stealing, on the one side, according to it, hath been declared innocent, and every one who hath sworn, on the other side, according to it, hath been declared innocent.

4 L a haré salir —declara el Señor de los ejércitos — y entrará en casa del ladrón y en casa del que jura por mi nombre en falso; y pasará la noche dentro de su casa y la consumirá junto con sus maderas y sus piedras.

`I have brought it out -- an affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts -- and it hath come in unto the house of the thief, and unto the house of him who hath sworn in My name to a falsehood, and it hath remained in the midst of his house, and hath consumed it, both its wood and its stones.'

5 S alió el ángel que hablaba conmigo, y me dijo: Alza ahora tus ojos y mira qué es esto que sale.

And the messenger who is speaking with me goeth forth, and saith unto me, `Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what this that is coming forth?'

6 Y dije: ¿Qué es? Y él dijo: Esto es el efa que sale. Y añadió: Esta es la iniquidad de ellos en toda la tierra.

And I say, `What it?' And he saith, `This -- the ephah that is coming forth.' And he saith, `This their aspect in all the land.

7 Y he aquí, una tapa de plomo fue levantada, y había una mujer sentada dentro del efa.

And lo, a cake of lead lifted up; and this a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah.'

8 E ntonces dijo: Esta es la Maldad. Y la arrojó al interior del efa y arrojó la tapa de plomo sobre su abertura.

And he saith, `This the wicked woman.' And he casteth her unto the midst of the ephah, and casteth the weight of lead on its mouth.

9 L uego alcé los ojos y miré, y he aquí dos mujeres salían con el viento en sus alas; y tenían alas como alas de cigüeña, y alzaron el efa entre la tierra y el cielo.

And I lift up mine eyes, and see, and lo, two women are coming forth, and wind in their wings; and they have wings like wings of the stork, and they lift up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

10 D ije entonces al ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿Adónde llevan el efa?

And I say unto the messenger who is speaking with me, `Whither they causing the ephah to go?'

11 Y me respondió: A la tierra de Sinar para edificarle un templo; y cuando esté preparado, será asentado allí sobre su base.

And he saith unto me, `To build to it a house in the land of Shinar.' And it hath been prepared and hath been placed there on its base.
