1 D e nuevo alcé mis ojos y miré, y he aquí un rollo que volaba.

And I turn back, and lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a flying roll.

2 Y me dijo: ¿Qué ves? Y respondí: Veo un rollo que vuela, de veinte codos de largo, y diez codos de ancho.

And he saith unto me, `What art thou seeing?' And I say, `I am seeing a flying roll, its length twenty by the cubit, and its breadth ten by the cubit.'

3 E ntonces me dijo: Ésta es la maldición que sale sobre la faz de toda la tierra; porque todo aquel que hurta (como está de un lado del rollo) será destruido; y todo aquel que jura falsamente (como está del otro lado del rollo) será destruido.

And he saith unto me, `This the execration that is going forth over the face of all the land, for every one who is stealing, on the one side, according to it, hath been declared innocent, and every one who hath sworn, on the other side, according to it, hath been declared innocent.

4 Y o la he hecho salir, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y entrará en la casa del ladrón, y en la casa del que jura falsamente en mi nombre; y permanecerá en medio de su casa y la consumirá, con sus maderas y sus piedras. La mujer en el efá

`I have brought it out -- an affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts -- and it hath come in unto the house of the thief, and unto the house of him who hath sworn in My name to a falsehood, and it hath remained in the midst of his house, and hath consumed it, both its wood and its stones.'

5 Y salió aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo, y me dijo: Alza ahora tus ojos, y mira qué es esto que sale.

And the messenger who is speaking with me goeth forth, and saith unto me, `Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what this that is coming forth?'

6 Y dije: ¿Qué es? Y él dijo: Éste es un efá que sale. Además dijo: Ésta es la iniquidad de ellos en toda la tierra.

And I say, `What it?' And he saith, `This -- the ephah that is coming forth.' And he saith, `This their aspect in all the land.

7 Y he aquí que levantaron la tapa de plomo, y estaba sentada una mujer en medio de aquel efá.

And lo, a cake of lead lifted up; and this a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah.'

8 Y él dijo: Ésta es la Maldad; y la echó dentro del efá, y volvió a colocar la tapa de plomo en la boca del efá.

And he saith, `This the wicked woman.' And he casteth her unto the midst of the ephah, and casteth the weight of lead on its mouth.

9 A lcé luego mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí que salían dos mujeres, y traían viento en sus alas, y tenían alas como de cigüeña, y alzaron el efá entre la tierra y los cielos.

And I lift up mine eyes, and see, and lo, two women are coming forth, and wind in their wings; and they have wings like wings of the stork, and they lift up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

10 L e dije entonces al ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿Adónde llevan el efá?

And I say unto the messenger who is speaking with me, `Whither they causing the ephah to go?'

11 Y él me respondió: Van a edificarle casa en tierra de Sinar; y cuando esté preparada lo pondrán allí sobre su base.

And he saith unto me, `To build to it a house in the land of Shinar.' And it hath been prepared and hath been placed there on its base.
