1 L a parte que tocó en suerte a la tribu de los hijos de Judá, conforme a sus familias, llegaba hasta la frontera de Edom, teniendo el desierto de Zin al sur como extremo meridional.

And the lot for the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families, is unto the border of Edom; the wilderness of Zin southward, at the extremity of the south;

2 Y su límite por el lado del sur fue desde la costa del Mar Salado, desde la bahía que mira hacia el sur;

and to them the south border is at the extremity of the salt sea, from the bay which is looking southward;

3 y salía hacia el sur de la subida de Acrabim, pasando hasta Zin; y subiendo por el sur hasta Cadés-barnea, pasaba a Hezrón, y subiendo por Adar daba vuelta a Carcá.

and it hath gone out unto the south to Maaleh-Akrabbim, and passed over to Zin, and gone up on the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and passed over Hezron, and gone up to Adar, and turned round to Karkaa,

4 D e allí pasaba a Asmón, y salía al arroyo de Egipto, y terminaba en el mar. Éste, pues, os será el límite del sur.

and passed over Azmon, and gone out the brook of Egypt, and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea; this is to you the south border.

5 E l límite oriental es el Mar Salado hasta la desembocadura del Jordán. Y el límite del lado del norte, desde la bahía del mar en la desembocadura del Jordán;

And the east border the salt sea, unto the extremity of the Jordan, and the border at the north quarter from the bay of the sea, at the extremity of the Jordan;

6 y sube este límite por Bet-hoglá, y pasa al norte de Bet-arabá, y de aquí sube hasta la piedra de Bohán hijo de Rubén.

and the border hath gone up Beth-Hoglah, and passed over on the north of Beth-Arabah, and the border hath gone up the stone of Bohan son of Reuben:

7 L uego sube a Debir desde el valle de Acor; y al norte mira sobre Gilgal, que está enfrente de la subida de Adumín, que está al sur del arroyo; y pasa hasta las aguas de En-semes, y sale a la fuente de Rogel.

and the border hath gone up towards Debir from the valley of Achor, and northward looking unto Gilgal, which over-against the ascent of Adummim, which on the south of the brook, and the border hath passed over unto the waters of En-Shemesh, and its outgoings have been unto En-Rogel;

8 Y sube este límite por el valle del hijo de Hinom al lado sur del jebuseo, que es Jerusalén. Luego sube por la cumbre del monte que está enfrente del valle de Hinom hacia el occidente, el cual está al extremo del valle de Refaím, por el lado del norte.

and the border hath gone up the valley of the son of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite on the south (it Jerusalem), and the border hath gone up unto the top of the hill-country which on the front of the valley of Hinnom westward, which in the extremity of the valley of the Rephaim northward;

9 Y rodea este límite desde la cumbre del monte hasta la fuente de las aguas de Neftoá, y sale a las ciudades del monte de Efrón, rodeando luego a Baalá, que es Quiryat-jearim.

and the border hath been marked out, from the top of the hill-country unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and hath gone out unto the cities of mount Ephron, and the border hath been marked out Baalah, (it Kirjath-Jearim);

10 D espués gira este límite desde Baalá hacia el occidente al monte de Seír; y pasa al lado del monte de Jearim hacia el norte, el cual es Quesalón, y desciende a Bet-semes, y pasa a Timná.

and the border hath gone round from Baalah westward, unto mount Seir, and passed over unto the side of mount Jearim (it Chesalon), on the north, and gone down Beth-Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah;

11 S ale luego al lado de Ecrón hacia el norte; y rodea a Sicrón, y pasa por el monte de Baalá, y sale a Jabneel y termina en el mar.

and the border hath gone out unto the side of Ekron northward, and the border hath been marked out Shicron, and hath passed over to mount Baalah, and gone out Jabneel; and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea.

12 E l límite del occidente es el Mar Grande. Éste fue el límite de los hijos de Judá, por todo el contorno, conforme a sus familias. Caleb conquista Hebrón y Debir

And the west border to the great sea, and border; this the border of the sons of Judah round about for their families.

13 M as a Caleb hijo de Jefuné dio su parte entre los hijos de Judá, conforme al mandamiento de Jehová a Josué; la ciudad de Quiryatarbá padre de Anac, que es Hebrón.

And to Caleb son of Jephunneh hath he given a portion in the midst of the sons of Judah, according to the command of Jehovah to Joshua, the city of Arba, father of Anak -- it Hebron.

14 Y Caleb echó de allí a los tres hijos de Anac, a Sesay, Ahimán y Talmay, descendientes de Anac.

And Caleb is dispossessing thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, children of Anak,

15 D e aquí subió contra los que moraban en Debir; y el nombre de Debir era antes Quiryat-séfer.

and he goeth up thence unto the inhabitants of Debir; and the name of Debir formerly is Kirjath-Sepher.

16 Y dijo Caleb: Al que ataque a Quiryat-séfer, y la tome, yo le daré mi hija Acsá por mujer.

And Caleb saith, `He who smiteth Kirjath-Sephar, and hath captured it -- I have given to him Achsah my daughter for a wife.'

17 Y la tomó Otoniel, hijo de Cenez hermano de Caleb; y él le dio su hija Acsá por mujer.

And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, doth capture it, and he giveth to him Achsah his daughter for a wife.

18 Y aconteció que cuando la llevaba, él la persuadió que pidiese a su padre tierras para labrar. Ella entonces se bajó del asno. Y Caleb le dijo: ¿Qué tienes?

And it cometh to pass, in her coming in, that she persuadeth him to ask from her father a field, and she lighteth from off the ass, and Caleb saith to her, `What -- to thee?'

19 Y ella respondió: Concédeme un don; puesto que me has dado tierra del Négueb, dame también fuentes de aguas. Él entonces le dio las fuentes de arriba, y las de abajo. Las ciudades de Judá

And she saith, `Give to me a blessing; when the land of the south thou hast given me, then thou hast given to me springs of waters;' and he giveth to her the upper springs and the lower springs.

20 E sta, pues, es la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Judá por sus familias.

This the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families.

21 Y fueron las ciudades de la tribu de los hijos de Judá en el extremo sur, hacia la frontera de Edom: Cabseel, Éder, Jagur,

And the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah are unto the border of Edom in the south, Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,

62 N ibsán, la Ciudad de la Sal y Engadí; seis ciudades con sus aldeas.

and Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-Gedi; six cities and their villages.

63 M as a los jebuseos que habitaban en Jerusalén, los hijos de Judá no pudieron arrojarlos; y ha quedado el jebuseo en Jerusalén junto a los hijos de Judá hasta hoy.

As to the Jebusites, inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah have not been able to dispossess them, and the Jebusite dwelleth with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem unto this day.
