1 A conteció a los nueve años de su reinado, en el mes décimo, a los diez días del mes, que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia vino con todo su ejército contra Jerusalén, y la sitió, y levantó torres contra ella alrededor.

And it cometh to pass, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, come hath Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, he and all his force, against Jerusalem, and encampeth against it, and buildeth against it a fortification round about.

2 Y estuvo la ciudad sitiada hasta el año undécimo del rey Sedequías.

And the city entereth into siege till the eleventh year of king Zedekiah,

3 A los nueve días del cuarto mes prevaleció el hambre en la ciudad, hasta que no hubo pan para el pueblo de la tierra.

on the ninth of the month -- when the famine is severe in the city, and there hath not been bread for the people of the land,

4 A bierta ya una brecha en el muro de la ciudad, huyeron de noche todos los hombres de guerra por el camino de la puerta que estaba entre los dos muros, junto a los huertos del rey, estando los caldeos alrededor de la ciudad; y el rey se fue por el camino del Arabá.

then the city is broken up, and all the men of war by night the way of the gate, between the two walls that by the garden of the king, and the Chaldeans against the city round about, and goeth the way of the plain.

5 Y el ejército de los caldeos siguió al rey, y lo apresó en las llanuras de Jericó, habiendo sido dispersado todo su ejército.

And the force of the Chaldeans pursue after the king, and overtake him in the plains of Jericho, and all his force have been scattered from him;

6 P reso, pues, el rey, le trajeron al rey de Babilonia en Riblá, y pronunciaron sentencia contra él.

and they seize the king, and bring him up unto the king of Babylon, to Riblah, and they speak with him -- judgment.

7 D egollaron a los hijos de Sedequías en presencia suya, y a Sedequías le sacaron los ojos, y atado con cadenas lo llevaron a Babilonia. Cautividad de Judá

And the sons of Zedekiah they have slaughtered before his eyes, and the eyes of Zedekiah he hath blinded, and bindeth him with brazen fetters, and they bring him to Babylon.

8 E n el mes quinto, a los siete días del mes, siendo el año diecinueve de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, vino a Jerusalén Nebuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, siervo del rey de Babilonia.

And in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month (it the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), hath Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners, servant of the king of Babylon, come to Jerusalem,

9 Y quemó la casa de Jehová, y la casa del rey, y todas las casas de Jerusalén; y todas las casas de los príncipes quemó a fuego.

and he burneth the house of Jehovah, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, yea, every great house he hath burned with fire;

10 Y todo el ejército de los caldeos que estaba con el capitán de la guardia, derribó los muros alrededor de Jerusalén.

and the walls of Jerusalem round about have all the forces of the Chaldeans, who with the chief of the executioners, broken down.

11 Y a los del pueblo que habían quedado en la ciudad, a los que se habían pasado al rey de Babilonia, y a los que habían quedado de la gente común, los llevó cautivos Nebuzaradán, capitán de la guardia.

And the rest of the people, those left in the city, and those falling who have fallen to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude, hath Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners removed;

12 M as de los pobres de la tierra dejó Nebuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, para que labrasen las viñas y la tierra.

and of the poor of the land hath the chief of the executioners left for vine-dressers and for husbandmen.

13 Y quebraron los caldeos las columnas de bronce que estaban en la casa de Jehová, y las basas, y el estanque de bronce que estaba en la casa de Jehová, y llevaron el bronce a Babilonia.

And the pillars of brass that in the house of Jehovah, and the bases, and the sea of brass, that in the house of Jehovah, have the Chaldeans broken in pieces, and bear away their brass to Babylon.

14 L levaron también los calderos, las paletas, las despabiladeras, los cucharones, y todos los utensilios de bronce con que ministraban;

And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they minister they have taken,

15 i ncensarios, cuencos, los de oro y los de plata; todo se lo llevó el capitán de la guardia.

and the fire-pans, and the bowls that wholly of silver, hath the chief of the executioners taken.

16 L as dos columnas, el estanque de bronce, y las basas que Salomón había hecho para la casa de Jehová, no fue posible pesarlos.

The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases that Solomon made for the house of Jehovah, there was no weighing of the brass of all these vessels;

17 L a altura de una columna era de dieciocho codos, y tenía encima un capitel de bronce; la altura del capitel era de tres codos, y sobre el capitel había un trenzado y granadas alrededor, todo de bronce; e igual labor había en la otra columna con su trenzado.

eighteen cubits the height of the one pillar, and the chapiter on it of brass, and the height of the chapiter three cubits, and the net and the pomegranates on the chapiter round about -- the whole of brass; and like these hath the second pillar, with the net.

18 T omó entonces el capitán de la guardia al primer sacerdote Serayá, al segundo sacerdote Sefanías, y tres guardas de la vajilla;

And the chief of the executioners taketh Seraiah the head priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold,

19 y de la ciudad tomó un eunuco que tenía a su cargo los hombres de guerra, y cinco varones de los consejeros del rey, que estaban en la ciudad, el principal escriba del ejército, que llevaba el registro de la gente del país, y sesenta varones del pueblo de la tierra, que estaban en la ciudad.

and out of the city he hath taken a certain eunuch who is appointed over the men of war, and five men of those seeing the king's face who have been found in the city, and the head scribe of the host, who mustereth the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who are found in the city,

20 É stos tomó Nebuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, y los llevó a Riblá al rey de Babilonia.

and Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners taketh them, and causeth them to go unto the king of Babylon, to Libnah,

21 Y el rey de Babilonia los hirió haciéndoles morir en Riblá, en tierra de Hamat. Así fue llevado cautivo Judá lejos de su tierra. El remanente huye a Egipto

and the king of Babylon smiteth them, and putteth them to death in Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he removeth Judah from off its land.

22 Y al pueblo que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia dejó en tierra de Judá, puso por gobernador a Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán.

And the people that is left in the land of Judah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon hath left -- he appointeth over them Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan.

23 Y oyendo todos los príncipes del ejército, ellos y su gente, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto por gobernador a Gedalías, vinieron a él en Mizpá; Ismael hijo de Netanías, Johanán hijo de Carea, Seraías hijo de Tanhumet netofatita, y Jaazanías hijo de un maacateo, ellos con los suyos.

And all the heads of the forces hear -- they and the men -- that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah, and they come in unto Gedaliah, to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan son of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah son of the Maachathite -- they and their men;

24 E ntonces Gedalías les hizo juramento a ellos y a los suyos, y les dijo: No temáis ser siervos de los caldeos; habitad en la tierra, y servid al rey de Babilonia, y os irá bien.

and Gedaliah sweareth to them, and to their men, and saith to them, `Be not afraid of the servants of the Chaldeans, dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it is good for you.'

25 M as en el mes séptimo vino Ismael hijo de Netanías, hijo de Elisamá, de la estirpe real, y con él diez varones, e hirieron a Gedalías, y murió; y también a los de Judá y a los caldeos que estaban con él en Mizpá.

And it cometh to pass, in the seventh month, come hath Ishmael son of Nathaniah, son of Elishama of the seed of the kingdom, and ten men with him, and they smite Gedaliah, and he dieth, and the Jews and the Chaldeans who have been with him in Mizpah.

26 Y levantándose todo el pueblo, desde el menor hasta el mayor, con los capitanes del ejército, se fueron a Egipto, por temor de los caldeos. Joaquín es libertado y recibe honores en Babilonia

And all the people rise, from small even unto great, and the heads of the forces, and come in to Egypt, for they have been afraid of the presence of the Chaldeans.

27 A conteció a los treinta y siete años del cautiverio de Joaquín rey de Judá, en el mes duodécimo, a los veintisiete días del mes, que Evil-merodac rey de Babilonia, en el primer año de su reinado, libertó a Joaquín rey de Judá, sacándolo de la cárcel;

And it cometh to pass, in the thirty and seventh year of the removal of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty and seventh of the month hath Evil-Merodach king of Babylon lifted up, in the year of his reigning, the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, out of the house of restraint,

28 y le habló con benevolencia, y puso su trono más alto que los tronos de los reyes que estaban con él en Babilonia.

and speaketh with him good things and putteth his throne above the throne of the kings who with him in Babylon,

29 Y le cambió los vestidos de prisionero, y comió siempre delante de él todos los días de su vida.

and hath changed the garments of his restraint, and he hath eaten bread continually before him all days of his life,

30 Y diariamente le fue dada su comida de parte del rey, de continuo, todos los días de su vida.

and his allowance -- a continual allowance -- hath been given to him from the king, the matter of a day in its day, all days of his life.
