1 M e dejé buscar por los que no preguntaban por mí; me dejé hallar por los que no me buscaban. Dije: “Heme aquí, heme aquí”, a una nación que no invocaba mi nombre.

I have been inquired of by those who asked not, I have been found by those who sought Me not, I have said, `Behold Me, behold Me,' Unto a nation not calling in My name.

2 E xtendí mis manos todo el día hacia un pueblo rebelde, que anda por el camino que no es bueno, en pos de sus pensamientos;

I have spread out My hands all the day Unto an apostate people, Who are going in the way not good after their own thoughts.

3 u n pueblo que de continuo me provoca en mi propio rostro, sacrificando en huertos y quemando incienso sobre ladrillos;

The people who are provoking Me to anger, To My face continually, Sacrificing in gardens, and making perfume on the bricks:

4 q ue se sientan entre sepulcros y pasan la noche en lugares secretos; que comen carne de cerdo, y en sus ollas hay caldo de carnes inmundas;

Who are dwelling among sepulchres, And lodge in reserved places, Who are eating flesh of the sow, And a piece of abominable things -- their vessels.

5 q ue dicen: “Quédate donde estás, no te acerques a mí, porque soy más santo que tú.” Estos son humo en mi nariz, fuego que arde todo el día.

Who are saying, `Keep to thyself, come not nigh to me, For I have declared thee unholy.' These a smoke in Mine anger, A fire burning all the day.

6 H e aquí, escrito está delante de mí: no guardaré silencio, sino que les daré su pago, y les recompensaré en su seno,

Lo, it is written before Me: `I am not silent, but have recompensed; And I have recompensed into their bosom,

7 p or vuestras iniquidades y por las iniquidades de vuestros padres juntamente —dice el Señor. Porque quemaron incienso en los montes, y en las colinas me injuriaron; por tanto mediré en su seno su obra pasada.

Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, said Jehovah, Who have made perfume on the mountains, And on the heights have reproached Me, And I have measured their former work into their bosom.'

8 A sí dice el Señor: Como cuando se encuentra mosto en el racimo y alguien dice: “No lo destruyas, porque en él hay bendición”, así haré yo por mis siervos para no destruir los a todos.

Thus said Jehovah: As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one hath said, `Destroy it not for a blessing in it,' So I do for My servants' sake, not to destroy the whole.

9 S acaré de Jacob descendencia y de Judá heredero de mis montes; mis escogidos la heredarán, y mis siervos morarán allí.

And I have brought out from Jacob a seed, And from Judah a possessor of My mount, And possess it do My chosen ones, And My servants do dwell there.

10 S arón será pastizal para ovejas, y el valle de Acor para lugar de descanso de vacas, para mi pueblo que me busca.

And Sharon hath been for the habitation of a flock, And the valley of Achor for the lying down of a herd, For My people who have sought Me.

11 P ero vosotros que abandonáis al Señor, que olvidáis mi santo monte, que ponéis mesa para la Fortuna, y que preparáis vino mezclado para el Destino,

And ye those forsaking Jehovah, Who are forgetting My holy mountain, Who are setting in array for Gad a table, And who are filling for Meni a mixture.

12 y o os destinaré a la espada, y todos vosotros os encorvaréis para la matanza. Porque llamé, mas no respondisteis, hablé, mas no oísteis; hicisteis lo malo ante mis ojos y escogisteis aquello que no me complacía.

And I have numbered you for the sword, And all of you for slaughter bow down, Because I called, and ye have not answered, I have spoken, and ye have not hearkened, And ye do the evil thing in Mine eyes, And on that which I desired not -- fixed.

13 P or tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: He aquí, mis siervos comerán, mas vosotros tendréis hambre; he aquí, mis siervos beberán, mas vosotros tendréis sed; he aquí, mis siervos se alegrarán, mas vosotros seréis avergonzados;

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, My servants do eat, and ye do hunger, Lo, My servants do drink, and ye do thirst, Lo, My servants rejoice, and ye are ashamed,

14 h e aquí, mis siervos darán gritos de júbilo con corazón alegre, mas vosotros clamaréis con corazón triste, y con espíritu quebrantado gemiréis.

Lo, My servants sing from joy of heart, And ye cry from pain of heart, And from breaking of spirit ye do howl.

15 Y dejaréis vuestro nombre como maldición a mis escogidos; el Señor Dios te matará, pero mis siervos serán llamados por otro nombre.

And ye have left your name For an oath for My chosen ones, And the Lord Jehovah hath put thee to death, And to His servants He giveth another name.

16 P orque el que es bendecido en la tierra, será bendecido por el Dios de la verdad; y el que jura en la tierra, jurará por el Dios de la verdad; porque han sido olvidadas las angustias primeras, y porque están ocultas a mis ojos.

So that he who is blessing himself in the earth, Doth bless himself In the God of faithfulness, And he who is swearing in the earth, Doth swear by the God of faithfulness, Because the former distresses have been forgotten, And because they have been hid from Mine eyes.

17 P ues he aquí, yo creo cielos nuevos y una tierra nueva, y no serán recordadas las cosas primeras ni vendrán a la memoria.

For, lo, I am creating new heavens, and a new earth, And the former things are not remembered, Nor do they ascend on the heart.

18 P ero gozaos y regocijaos para siempre en lo que yo voy a crear; porque he aquí, voy a crear a Jerusalén para regocijo, y a su pueblo para júbilo.

But joy ye, and rejoice for ever, that I Creator, For, lo, I am creating Jerusalem a rejoicing, And her people a joy.

19 M e regocijaré por Jerusalén y me gozaré por mi pueblo; no se oirá más en ella voz de lloro ni voz de clamor.

And I have rejoiced in Jerusalem, And have joyed in My people, And not heard in her any more Is the voice of weeping, and the voice of crying.

20 N o habrá más allí niño que viva pocos días, ni anciano que no complete sus días; porque el joven morirá a los cien años, y el que no alcance los cien años será considerado maldito.

There is not thence any more a suckling of days, And an aged man who doth not complete his days, For the youth a hundred years old dieth, And the sinner, a hundred years old, is lightly esteemed.

21 C onstruirán casas y las habitarán, plantarán también viñas y comerán su fruto.

And they have built houses, and inhabited, And planted vineyards, and eaten their fruit.

22 N o edificarán para que otro habite, ni plantarán para que otro coma; porque como los días de un árbol, así serán los días de mi pueblo, y mis escogidos disfrutarán de la obra de sus manos.

They do not build, and another inhabit, They do not plant, and another eat, For as the days of a tree the days of My people, And the work of their hands wear out do My chosen ones.

23 N o trabajarán en vano, ni darán a luz para desgracia, porque son la simiente de los benditos del Señor, ellos, y sus vástagos con ellos.

They labour not for a vain thing, Nor do they bring forth for trouble, For the seed of the blessed of Jehovah they, And their offspring with them.

24 Y sucederá que antes que ellos clamen, yo responderé; aún estarán hablando, y yo habré oído.

And it hath come to pass, They do not yet call, and I answer, They are yet speaking, and I hear.

25 E l lobo y el cordero pacerán juntos, y el león, como el buey, comerá paja, y para la serpiente el polvo será su alimento. No harán mal ni dañarán en todo mi santo monte —dice el Señor.

Wolf and lamb do feed as one, And a lion as an ox eateth straw, As to the serpent -- dust its food, They do no evil, nor destroy, In all My holy mountain, said Jehovah!
