1 E sta es la bendición con la que Moisés, hombre de Dios, bendijo a los hijos de Israel antes de morir.

And this the blessing which Moses the man of God blessed the sons of Israel before his death,

2 D ijo: El Señor vino del Sinaí y les esclareció desde Seir; resplandeció desde el monte Parán, y vino de en medio de diez millares de santos; a su diestra había fulgor centellante para ellos.

and he saith: -- `Jehovah from Sinai hath come, And hath risen from Seir for them; He hath shone from mount Paran, And hath come myriads of holy ones; At His right hand springs for them.

3 E n verdad, El ama al pueblo; todos tus santos están en tu mano, y siguen en tus pasos; todos reciben de tus palabras.

Also He loving the peoples; All His holy ones in thy hand, And they -- they sat down at thy foot, He lifteth up at thy words.

4 U na ley nos prescribió Moisés, una herencia para la asamblea de Jacob.

A law hath Moses commanded us, A possession of the assembly of Jacob.

5 E l era rey en Jesurún, cuando se reunieron los jefes del pueblo, juntamente con las tribus de Israel.

And he is in Jeshurun king, In the heads of the people gathering together, The tribes of Israel!

6 V iva Rubén, y no muera, y no sean pocos sus hombres.

Let Reuben live, and not die, And let his men be a number.

7 E n cuanto a Judá, esto dijo: Escucha, oh Señor, la voz de Judá, y tráelo a su pueblo. Con sus manos luchó por ellos; sé tú su ayuda contra sus adversarios.

And this for Judah; and he saith: -- Hear, O Jehovah, the voice of Judah, And unto his people do Thou bring him in; His hand hath striven for him, And an help from his adversaries art Thou.

8 Y de Leví dijo: Tu Tumim y tu Urim sean para tu varón santo, a quien pusiste a prueba en Masah, con quien luchaste en las aguas de Meriba;

And of Levi he said: -- Thy Thummim and thy Urim for thy pious one, Whom Thou hast tried in Massah, Thou dost strive with Him at the waters of Meribah;

9 e l que dijo de su padre y de su madre: “No los conozco ”; y no reconoció a sus hermanos, ni consideró a sus propios hijos, porque obedecieron tu palabra, y guardaron tu pacto.

Who is saying of his father and his mother, I have not seen him; And his brethren he hath not discerned, And his sons he hath not known; For they have observed Thy saying, And Thy covenant they keep.

10 E llos enseñarán tus ordenanzas a Jacob y tu ley a Israel. Pondrán incienso delante de ti, y holocaustos perfectos sobre tu altar.

They teach Thy judgments to Jacob, And Thy law to Israel; They put perfume in Thy nose, And whole burnt-offering on Thine altar.

11 B endice, oh Señor, sus esfuerzos, y acepta la obra de sus manos; quebranta los lomos de los que se levantan contra él y de los que lo odian, para que no se levanten más.

Bless, O Jehovah, his strength, And the work of his hands Thou acceptest, Smite the loins of his withstanders, And of those hating him -- that they rise not!

12 D e Benjamín, dijo: Habite el amado del Señor en seguridad junto a aquel que le protege todo el día, y entre cuyos hombros mora.

Of Benjamin he said: -- The beloved of Jehovah doth tabernacle confidently by him, Covering him over all the day; Yea, between his shoulders He doth tabernacle.

13 Y de José, dijo: Bendita del Señor sea su tierra, con lo mejor de los cielos, con el rocío y con las profundidades que están debajo;

And of Joseph he said: -- Blessed of Jehovah his land, By precious things of the heavens, By dew, and by the deep crouching beneath,

14 c on lo mejor de los frutos del sol y con los mejores productos de los meses;

And by precious things -- fruits of the sun, And by precious things -- cast forth by the moons,

15 c on lo mejor de los montes antiguos y con lo escogido de los collados eternos;

And by chief things -- of the ancient mountains, And by precious things -- of the age-during heights,

16 c on lo mejor de la tierra y cuanto contiene y el favor del que habitaba en la zarza. Descienda la bendición sobre la cabeza de José, y sobre la coronilla del consagrado entre sus hermanos.

And by precious things -- of earth and its fulness, And the good pleasure Of Him who is dwelling in the bush, -- Let it come for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of him Who is separate from his brethren.

17 S u majestad es como la del primogénito del toro, y sus cuernos son los cuernos del búfalo; con ellos empujará a los pueblos, todos juntos, hasta los confines de la tierra. Tales son los diez millares de Efraín, y tales los millares de Manasés.

His honour a firstling of his ox, And his horns horns of a reem; By them peoples he doth push together To the ends of earth; And they the myriads of Ephraim, And they the thousands of Manasseh.

18 Y de Zabulón, dijo: Alégrate, Zabulón, en tus salidas e Isacar, en tus tiendas.

And of Zebulun he said: -- Rejoice, O Zebulun, in thy going out, And, O Issachar, in thy tents;

19 L lamarán a los pueblos al monte; allí ofrecerán sacrificios de justicia, pues disfrutarán de la abundancia de los mares, y de los tesoros escondidos en la arena.

Peoples the mountain they call, There they sacrifice righteous sacrifices; For the abundance of the seas they suck, And hidden things hidden in the sand.

20 Y de Gad, dijo: Bendito el que ensancha a Gad; se echa como león, y desgarra el brazo y también la coronilla.

And of Gad he said: -- Blessed of the Enlarger Gad, As a lioness he doth tabernacle, And hath torn the arm -- also the crown!

21 E ntonces reservó para sí la primera parte, pues allí la porción de gobernante le estaba reservada. Y él vino con los jefes del pueblo; ejecutó la justicia del Señor, y sus ordenanzas con Israel.

And he provideth the first part for himself, For there the portion of the lawgiver is covered, And he cometh the heads of the people; The righteousness of Jehovah he hath done, And His judgments with Israel.

22 Y de Dan, dijo: Dan es cachorro de león que salta desde Basán.

And of Dan he said: -- Dan a lion's whelp; he doth leap from Bashan.

23 Y de Neftalí, dijo: Neftalí, colmado de favores, y lleno de la bendición del Señor, toma posesión del mar y del sur.

And of Naphtali he said: -- O Naphtali, satisfied with pleasure, And full of the blessing of Jehovah, West and south possess thou.

24 Y de Aser, dijo: Más bendito que hijos es Aser; sea favorecido por sus hermanos, y moje su pie en aceite.

And of Asher he said: -- Blessed with sons Asher, Let him be accepted by his brethren, And dipping in oil his foot.

25 D e hierro y de bronce serán tus cerrojos, y tan largo como tus días será tu reposo.

Iron and brass thy shoes, And as thy days -- thy strength.

26 N adie hay como el Dios de Jesurún, que cabalga los cielos para venir en tu ayuda, y las nubes, en su majestad.

There is none like the God of Jeshurun, Riding the heavens in thy help, And in His excellency the skies.

27 E l eterno Dios es tu refugio, y debajo están los brazos eternos. El echó al enemigo delante de ti, y dijo: “¡Destruye!”

A habitation the eternal God, And beneath arms age-during. And He casteth out from thy presence the enemy, and saith, `Destroy!'

28 P or eso Israel habita confiado, la fuente de Jacob habita separada en una tierra de grano y mosto; sus cielos también destilan rocío.

And Israel doth tabernacle confidence alone; The eye of Jacob unto a land of corn and wine; Also His heavens drop down dew.

29 D ichoso tú, Israel. ¿Quién como tú, pueblo salvado por el Señor ? El es escudo de tu ayuda, y espada de tu gloria. Tus enemigos simularán someterse ante ti, y tú hollarás sus lugares altos.

O thy happiness, O Israel! who is like thee? A people saved by Jehovah, The shield of thy help, And He who the sword of thine excellency: And thine enemies are subdued for thee, And thou on their high places dost tread.'
