1 E n aquel tiempo se levantará Miguel, el gran príncipe que vela sobre los hijos de tu pueblo. Será un tiempo de angustia cual nunca hubo desde que existen las naciones hasta entonces; y en ese tiempo tu pueblo será librado, todos los que se encuentren inscritos en el libro.

`And at that time stand up doth Michael, the great head, who is standing up for the sons of thy people, and there hath been a time of distress, such as hath not been since there hath been a nation till that time, and at that time do thy people escape, every one who is found written in the book.

2 Y muchos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra despertarán, unos para la vida eterna, y otros para la ignominia, para el desprecio eterno.

`And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground do awake, some to life age-during, and some to reproaches -- to abhorrence age-during.

3 L os entendidos brillarán como el resplandor del firmamento, y los que guiaron a muchos a la justicia, como las estrellas, por siempre jamás.

And those teaching do shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars to the age and for ever.

4 P ero tú, Daniel, guarda en secreto estas palabras y sella el libro hasta el tiempo del fin. Muchos correrán de aquí para allá, y el conocimiento aumentará.

And thou, O Daniel, hide the things, and seal the book till the time of the end, many do go to and fro, and knowledge is multiplied.'

5 E ntonces yo, Daniel, miré, y he aquí otros dos estaban de pie, uno a este lado del río, y el otro al otro lado del río.

And I have looked -- I, Daniel -- and lo, two others are standing, one here at the edge of the flood, and one there at the edge of the flood,

6 Y uno de ellos dijo al hombre vestido de lino que estaba sobre las aguas del río: ¿Para cuándo será el fin de estas maravillas ?

and he saith to the one clothed in linen, who upon the waters of the flood, `Till when the end of these wonders?'

7 Y oí al hombre vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río, que levantando su mano derecha y su mano izquierda al cielo, juró por aquel que vive para siempre, que será por un tiempo, tiempos y la mitad de un tiempo; y cuando se termine la destrucción del poder del pueblo santo, se cumplirán todas estas cosas.

And I hear the one clothed in linen, who upon the waters of the flood, and he doth lift up his right hand and his left unto the heavens, and sweareth by Him who is living to the age, that, `After a time, times, and a half, and at the completion of the scattering of the power of the holy people, finished are all these.'

8 Y o oí, pero no pude entender. Entonces dije: Señor mío, ¿cuál será el resultado de estas cosas?

And I have heard, and I do not understand, and I say, `O my lord, what the latter end of these?'

9 Y él respondió: Anda, Daniel, porque estas palabras están cerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del fin.

And he saith, `Go, Daniel; for hidden and sealed the things till the time of the end;

10 M uchos serán purificados, emblanquecidos y refinados; los impíos procederán impíamente, y ninguno de los impíos comprenderá, pero los entendidos comprenderán.

Purify themselves, yea, make themselves white, yea, refined are many: and the wicked have done wickedly, and none of the wicked understand, and those acting wisely do understand;

11 Y desde el tiempo en que el sacrificio perpetuo sea abolido y puesta la abominación de la desolación, habrá mil doscientos noventa días.

and from the time of the turning aside of the perpetual, and to the giving out of the desolating abomination, days a thousand, two hundred, and ninety.

12 B ienaventurado el que espere y llegue a mil trescientos treinta y cinco días.

O the blessedness of him who is waiting earnestly, and doth come to the days, a thousand, three hundred, thirty and five.

13 M as tú, sigue hasta el fin; descansarás y te levantarás para recibir tu heredad al fin de los días.

And thou, go on to the end, then thou dost rest, and dost stand in thy lot at the end of the days.'
