1 Ч и посміє хто з вас, маючи справу до іншого, судитися в неправедних, а не в святих?

Dare any one of you, having a matter with the other, go to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

2 Х іба ви не знаєте, що святі світ судитимуть? Коли ж будете ви світ судити, то чи ж ви негідні судити незначні справи?

have ye not known that the saints shall judge the world? and if by you the world is judged, are ye unworthy of the smaller judgments?

3 Х іба ви не знаєте, що ми будем судити Анголів, а не тільки життєве?

have ye not known that we shall judge messengers? why not then the things of life?

4 А ви, коли маєте суд за життєве, то ставите суддями тих, хто нічого не значить у Церкві.

of the things of life, indeed, then, if ye may have judgment, those despised in the assembly -- these cause ye to sit;

5 Я на сором це вам говорю. Чи ж між вами немає ні одного мудрого, щоб він міг розсудити між братами своїми?

unto your shame I speak: so there is not among you one wise man, not even one, who shall be able to discern in the midst of his brethren!

6 Т а брат судиться з братом, і то перед невірними!

but brother with brother doth go to be judged, and this before unbelievers!

7 Т ож уже для вас сором зовсім, що суди між собою ви маєте. Чому краще не терпите кривди? Чому краще не маєте шкоди?

Already, indeed, then, there is altogether a fault among you, that ye have judgments with one another; wherefore do ye not rather suffer injustice? wherefore be ye not rather defrauded?

8 А ле ви самі кривду чините та обдираєте, та ще братів...

but ye -- ye do injustice, and ye defraud, and these -- brethren!

9 Х іба ви не знаєте, що неправедні не вспадкують Божого Царства? Не обманюйте себе: ні розпусники, ні ідоляни, ні перелюбники, ні блудодійники, ні мужоложники,

have ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,

10 н і злодії, ні користолюбці, ні п'яниці, ні злоріки, ні хижаки Царства Божого не вспадкують вони!

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit.

11 І такими були дехто з вас, але ви обмились, але освятились, але виправдались Іменем Господа Ісуса Христа й Духом нашого Бога.

And certain of you were these! but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were declared righteous, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

12 У се мені можна, та не все на пожиток. Усе мені можна, але мною ніщо володіти не повинно.

All things are lawful to me, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful to me, but I -- I will not be under authority by any;

13 Ї жа для черева, і черево для їжі, але Бог одне й друге понищить. А тіло не для розпусти, але для Господа, і Господь для тіла.

the meats for the belly, and the belly for the meats. And God both this and these shall make useless; and the body not for whoredom, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body;

14 Б ог же й Господа воскресив, воскресить Він і нас Своєю силою!

and God both the Lord did raise, and us will raise up through His power.

15 Х іба ви не знаєте, що ваші тіла то члени Христові? Отож, узявши члени Христові, зроблю їх членами розпусниці? Зовсім ні!

Have ye not known that your bodies are members of Christ? having taken, then, the members of the Christ, shall I make members of an harlot? let it be not!

16 Х іба ви не знаєте, що той, хто злучується з розпусницею, стає одним тілом із нею? Бо каже: Обидва ви будете тілом одним.

have ye not known that he who is joined to the harlot is one body? `for they shall be -- saith He -- the two for one flesh.'

17 А хто з Господом злучується, стає одним духом із Ним.

And he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit;

18 У тікайте від розпусти. Усякий бо гріх, що його чинить людина, є поза тілом. А хто чинить розпусту, той грішить проти власного тіла.

flee the whoredom; every sin -- whatever a man may commit -- is without the body, and he who is committing whoredom, against his own body doth sin.

19 Х іба ви не знаєте, що ваше тіло то храм Духа Святого, що живе Він у вас, якого від Бога ви маєте, і ви не свої?

Have ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own,

20 Б о дорого куплені ви. Отож прославляйте Бога в тілі своєму та в дусі своєму, що Божі вони!

for ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
