1 А ти, сину людський, пророкуй на Ізраїлеві гори, та й скажеш: Ізраїлеві гори, послухайте слова Господнього!

And thou, son of man, prophesy unto mountains of Israel, and thou hast said, O mountains of Israel, hear a word of Jehovah.

2 Т ак говорить Господь Бог: За те, що ворог говорить на вас Ага! і вічні пагірки стали вам за спадщину,

Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because the enemy said against you, Aha, and the high places of old for a possession have been to us,

3 т ому пророкуй та й скажеш: Так говорить Господь Бог: За те, що пустошено й топтано вас знавкола, щоб були ви спадком для останку народів, і були ви взяті на кінчик язика й на балаканину народу,

therefore, prophesy, and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because, even because, of desolating, And of swallowing you up from round about, For your being a possession to the remnant of the nations, And ye are taken up on the tip of the tongue, And an evil report of the people.

4 т ому, Ізраїлеві гори, послухайте слова Господа Бога: Так говорить Господь Бог до гір та до згір'їв, до річищ та до долин, і до спустошілих руїн, і до опущених міст, що стали за здобич та за посміховисько для решти тих народів, що навколо.

Therefore, O mountains of Israel, Hear a word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus said the Lord Jehovah, to mountains, and to hills, To streams, and to valleys, And to wastes that desolate, And to cities that are forsaken, That have been for a prey, And for a scorn, to the remnant of the nations who round about.

5 Т ак говорить Господь Бог: Поправді кажу, що огнем Своєї ревности говорив Я на решту тих народів та на ввесь Едом, що взяли собі Мій Край за спадок у радості всього серця, у погорді душі, щоб вигнати його на здобич.

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Have I not, in the fire of My jealousy, Spoken against the remnant of the nations, And against Edom -- all of it, Who gave My land to themselves for a possession, With the joy of the whole heart -- with despite of soul, For the sake of casting it out for a prey?

6 Т ому пророкуй на Ізраїлеву землю, та й скажеш до гір, до згір'їв, до річищ та до долин: Так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я говорив у ревності Своїй та в гніві Своїм за те, що ви носили ганьбу народів.

Therefore, prophesy concerning the ground of Israel, And thou hast said to mountains, and to hills, To streams, and to valleys, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I, in My jealousy, and in My fury, I have spoken, Because the shame of nations ye have borne.

7 Т ому так говорить Господь Бог: Прирікаючи, Я підняв Свою руку, що ті люди, які навколо вас, вони понесуть свою ганьбу!

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I -- I have lifted up My hand, Do not -- the nations who with you from round about -- they their own shame bear?

8 А ви, Ізраїлеві гори, розпустіть ваше віття, і будете приносити плід свій для Мого народу Ізраїля, бо вони зблизилися, щоб прийти.

And ye, O mountains of Israel, Your branch ye give out, and your fruits ye bear for My people Israel, For they have drawn near to come.

9 Б о ось Я прийду до вас, і звернуся до вас, і ви будете оброблені та обсіяні.

For, lo, I for you, and have turned to you, And ye have been tilled and sown.

10 І розмножу на вас людину, увесь Ізраїлів дім, усього його, і будуть заселені ці міста, а руїни будуть забудовані.

And I have multiplied on you men, All the house of Israel -- all of it, And the cities have been inhabited, And the wastes are built.

11 І розмножу на вас людину та скотину, і вони помножаться та розплодяться, і позаселюю вас, як за вашої давнини, і буду чинити вам краще, як за ваших початків, і ви пізнаєте, що Я Господь!

And I have multiplied on you man and beast, And they have multiplied and been fruitful, And I have caused you to dwell according to your former states, And I have done better than at your beginnings, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

12 І попроваджу на вас людину, мій народ Ізраїлів, і вони посядуть тебе, і станеш ти їм на спадок, і не будеш уже більше позбавляти їх дітей.

And I have caused man to walk over you, -- My people Israel, And they possess thee, and thou hast been to them for an inheritance, And thou dost add no more to bereave them.

13 Т ак говорить Господь Бог: За те, що говорять про вас: Ти їси людину, і позбавляєш народ свій дітей,

Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because they are saying to you: A devourer of men thou, And a bereaver of thy nations thou hast been,

14 т ому ти не будеш уже їсти людини, і більше не позбавиш свій народ дітей, говорить Господь Бог!

Therefore, man thou devourest no more, And thy nations thou causest not to stumble any more, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

15 І не почуєш уже ти більше ганьби від поган, і наруги народів не будеш більше носити, і не вчиниш більше, щоб народ твій спотикався, говорить Господь Бог!

And I proclaim not unto thee any more the shame of the nations, And the reproach of peoples thou bearest no more, And thy nations stumble not any more, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'

16 І було мені слово Господнє таке:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

17 С ину людський, Ізраїлів дім вони жили на землі своїй, та й занечистили її своєю дорогою та своїми вчинками, як нечистість жінки в час нечистоти її стала їхня дорога перед Моїм лицем!

`Son of man, The house of Israel are dwelling on their land, And they defile it by their way and by their doings, As the uncleanness of a separated one hath their way been before Me.

18 І вилив Я гнів Свій на них за ту кров, яку вилили вони на землю, та бовванами своїми занечистили її.

And I do pour out My fury upon them For the blood that they shed on the land, And with their idols they have defiled it.

19 І розсіяв Я їх серед народів, і вони були розпорошені по країнах. За їхньою дорогою та за їхніми вчинками розсудив Я їх.

And I scatter them among nations, And they are spread through lands, According to their way, and according to their doings, I have judged them.

20 І коли прийшли вони до тих народів, куди поприходили, то зневажили святе Моє Ймення, коли стали до них говорити: Вони народ Господа, та з землі Його повиходили!

And one goeth in unto the nations whither they have gone, And they pollute My holy name by saying to them, The people of Jehovah these, And from His land they have gone forth.

21 І змилувався Я над Своїм святим Ім'ям, що його зневажив Ізраїлів дім серед народів, куди вони поприходили.

And I have pity on My holy name, That the house of Israel have polluted among nations whither they have gone in.

22 Т ому скажи до Ізраїлевого дому: Так говорить Господь Бог: Не для вас Я роблю це, Ізраїлів доме, а тільки для святого Свого Ймення, яке ви зневажили серед народів, куди ви поприходили.

Therefore, say to the house of Israel, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Not for your sake am I working, O house of Israel, But -- for My holy name, That ye have polluted among nations whither ye have gone in.

23 І освячу Я велике Ім'я Своє, зневажене серед народів, що ви зневажили серед них, і пізнають ті люди, що Я Господь, говорить Господь Бог, коли Я покажу Свою святість серед вас на їхніх очах.

And I have sanctified My great name, That is profaned among nations, That ye have polluted in your midst, And known have the nations that I Jehovah, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, In My being sanctified in you before your eyes.

24 І візьму вас із тих народів, і позбираю вас зо всіх країв, і приведу вас до вашої землі.

And I have taken you out of the nations, And have gathered you out of all the lands, And I have brought you in unto your land,

25 І покроплю вас чистою водою, і станете чисті; зо всіх ваших нечистот і зо всіх ваших бовванів очищу вас.

And I have sprinkled over you clean water, And ye have been clean; From all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols, I do cleanse you.

26 І дам вам нове серце, і нового духа дам у ваше нутро, і викину камінне серце з вашого тіла, і дам вам серце із плоті.

And I have given to you a new heart, And a new spirit I give in your midst, And I have turned aside the heart of stone out of your flesh, And I have given to you a heart of flesh.

27 І духа Свого дам Я до вашого нутра, і зроблю Я те, що уставами Моїми будете ходити, а постанови Мої будете стерегти та виконувати.

And My Spirit I give in your midst, And I have done this, so that in My statutes ye walk, And My judgments ye keep, and have done them.

28 І ви будете сидіти в Краю, якого Я дав вашим батькам, і будете Мені народом, а Я буду вам Богом!

And ye have dwelt in the land that I have given to your fathers, And ye have been to Me for a people, And I -- I am to you for God.

29 І спасу вас від усіх ваших нечистот, і покличу збіжжя, і помножу його, і не дам на вас голоду.

And I have saved you from all your uncleannesses, And I have called unto the corn, and multiplied it, And I have put no famine upon you.

30 І намножу плід дерева та врожай поля, щоб ви більше не набиралися сорому через голод між народами.

And I have multiplied the fruit of the tree, And the increase of the field, So that ye receive not any more a reproach of famine among nations.

31 І згадаєте ви про ваші дороги лихі та про ваші вчинки, що не добрі, і будете бридитися самих себе за свої провини та за гидоти свої.

And ye have remembered your ways that evil, And your doings that not good, And have been loathsome in your own faces, For your iniquities, and for your abominations.

32 Н е для вас Я це робитиму, говорить Господь Бог, нехай буде це вам відоме! Зашарійтеся та посоромтеся ваших доріг, Ізраїлів доме!

Not for your sake am I working, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Be it known to you, Be ashamed and confounded, because of your ways, O house of Israel.

33 Т ак говорить Господь Бог: Того дня, коли Я очищу вас зо всіх ваших провин, то позаселюю ці міста, і будуть забудовані руїни.

Thus said the Lord Jehovah: In the day of My cleansing you from all your iniquities, I have caused the cities to be inhabited, And the wastes have been built,

34 А спустошена земля буде оброблювана за те, що була спустошенням на очах кожного перехожого.

And the desolate land is tilled, Instead of which it was a desolation before the eyes of every passer by,

35 І скажуть: Цей опустошілий Край став як той еденський садок, а ці міста, повалені й попустошені та поруйновані, тепер укріплені та замешкані!

And they have said: This land, that was desolated, Hath been as the garden of Eden, And the cities -- the wasted, And the desolated, and the broken down, Fenced places have remained.

36 І пізнають народи, які зостануться навколо вас, що Я, Господь, забудував поруйноване, засадив спустошіле. Я, Господь, говорив це і зробив!

And known have the nations who are left round about you, That I Jehovah have built the thrown down, I have planted the desolated: I Jehovah have spoken, and I have done.

37 Т ак говорить Господь Бог: Ще на це прихилюся до Ізраїлевого дому, щоб зробити їм: помножу їх, як людську отару!

Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Yet this I am required, By the house of Israel to do to them, I multiply them as a flock of men,

38 Я к освячена отара, як отара Єрусалиму в його свята, такі будуть ці поруйновані міста, повні отари людської, і пізнають вони, що Я Господь!

As a flock of holy ones, as a flock of Jerusalem, In her appointed seasons, So are the waste cities full of flocks of men, And they have known that I Jehovah!'
