1 І вийшов Ісус і від храму пішов. І підійшли Його учні, щоб Йому показати будинки храмові.

And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,

2 В ін же промовив у відповідь їм: Чи бачите ви все оце? Поправді кажу вам: Не залишиться тут навіть камінь на камені, який не зруйнується!...

and Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.'

3 К оли ж Він сидів на Оливній горі, підійшли Його учні до Нього самотньо й спитали: Скажи нам, коли станеться це? І яка буде ознака приходу Твого й кінця віку?

And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?'

4 І сус же промовив у відповідь їм: Стережіться, щоб вас хто не звів!

And Jesus answering said to them, `Take heed that no one may lead you astray,

5 Б о багато хто прийде в Ім'я Моє, кажучи: Я Христос. І зведуть багатьох.

for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray,

6 В и ж про війни почуєте, і про воєнні чутки, глядіть, не лякайтесь, бо статись належить тому. Але це не кінець ще.

and ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all to come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 Б о повстане народ на народ, і царство на царство, і голод, мор та землетруси настануть місцями.

`For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places;

8 А все це початок терпінь породільних.

and all these the beginning of sorrows;

9 Н а муки тоді видаватимуть вас, і вбиватимуть вас, і вас будуть ненавидіти всі народи за Ймення Моє.

then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name;

10 І багато-хто в той час спокусяться, і видавати один одного будуть, і один одного будуть ненавидіти.

and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.

11 П остане багато фальшивих пророків, і зведуть багатьох.

`And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray;

12 І через розріст беззаконства любов багатьох охолоне.

and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold;

13 А хто витерпить аж до кінця, той буде спасений!

but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved;

14 І проповідана буде ця Євангелія Царства по цілому світові, на свідоцтво народам усім. І тоді прийде кінець!

and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive.

15 Т ож, коли ви побачите ту гидоту спустошення, що про неї звіщав був пророк Даниїл, на місці святому, хто читає, нехай розуміє,

`Whenever, therefore, ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)

16 т оді ті, хто в Юдеї, нехай в гори втікають.

then those in Judea -- let them flee to the mounts;

17 Х то на покрівлі, нехай той не сходить узяти речі з дому свого.

he on the house-top -- let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house;

18 І хто на полі, хай назад не вертається взяти одежу свою.

and he in the field -- let him not turn back to take his garments.

19 Г оре ж вагітним і тим, хто годує грудьми, за днів тих!

`And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;

20 М оліться ж, щоб ваша втеча не сталась зимою, ані в суботу.

and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath;

21 Б о скорбота велика настане тоді, якої не було з первопочину світу аж досі й не буде.

for there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be.

22 І коли б не вкоротились ті дні, не спаслася б ніяка людина; але через вибраних дні ті вкоротяться.

And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.

23 Т оді, як хто скаже до вас: Ото, Христос тут чи Отам, не йміть віри.

`Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here the Christ! or here! ye may not believe;

24 Б о постануть христи неправдиві, і неправдиві пророки, і будуть чинити великі ознаки та чуда, що звели б, коли б можна, і вибраних.

for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.

25 О це Я наперед вам сказав.

Lo, I did tell you beforehand.

26 А коли скажуть вам: Ось Він у пустині не виходьте, Ось Він у криївках не вірте!

`If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe;

27 Б о як блискавка та вибігає зо сходу, і з'являється аж до заходу, так буде і прихід Сина Людського.

for as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;

28 Б о де труп, там зберуться орли.

for wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together.

29 І зараз, по скорботі тих днів, сонце затьмиться, і місяць не дасть свого світла, і зорі попадають з неба, і сили небесні порушаться.

`And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;

30 І того часу на небі з'явиться знак Сина Людського, і тоді заголосять всі земні племена, і побачать вони Сина Людського, що йтиме на хмарах небесних із великою потугою й славою.

and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;

31 І пошле Анголів Своїх Він із голосним сурмовим гуком, і зберуть Його вибраних від вітрів чотирьох, від кінців неба аж до кінців його.

and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.

32 В ід дерева ж фіґового навчіться прикладу: коли віття його вже розпукується, і кинеться листя, то ви знаєте, що близько вже літо.

`And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer nigh,

33 Т ак і ви: коли все це побачите, знайте, що близько, під дверима!

so also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh -- at the doors.

34 П оправді кажу вам: не перейде цей рід, аж усе оце станеться.

Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass.

35 Н ебо й земля проминеться, але не минуться слова Мої!

The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 А про день той й годину не знає ніхто: ані Анголи небесні, ані Син, лише Сам Отець.

`And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known -- not even the messengers of the heavens -- except my Father only;

37 Я к було за днів Ноєвих, так буде і прихід Сина Людського.

and as the days of Noah -- so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;

38 Б о так само, як за днів до потопу всі їли й пили, женилися й заміж виходили, аж до дня, коли Ной увійшов до ковчегу,

for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,

39 і не знали, аж поки потоп не прийшов та й усіх не забрав, так буде і прихід Сина Людського.

and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.

40 Б удуть двоє на полі тоді, один візьметься, а другий полишиться.

Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;

41 Д ві будуть молоти на жорнах, одна візьметься, а друга полишиться.

two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.

42 Т ож пильнуйте, бо не знаєте, котрого дня прийде Господь ваш.

`Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come;

43 З найте ж це, що коли б знав господар, о котрій сторожі прийде злодій, то він пильнував би, і підкопати свого дому не дав би.

and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through;

44 Т ому будьте готові й ви, бо прийде Син Людський тієї години, коли ви не думаєте!

because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.

45 Х то ж вірний і мудрий раб, якого пан поставив над своїми челядниками давати своєчасно поживу для них?

`Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?

46 Б лаженний той раб, що пан його прийде та знайде, що робить він так!

Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;

47 П оправді кажу вам, що над цілим маєтком своїм він поставить його.

verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him.

48 А як той злий раб скаже у серці своїм: Забариться пан мій прийти,

`And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come,

49 і зачне бити товаришів своїх, а їсти та пити з п'яницями,

and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,

50 т о пан того раба прийде дня, якого він не сподівається, і о годині, якої не знає.

the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know,

51 І він пополовині розітне його, і визначить долю йому з лицемірами, буде плач там і скрегіт зубів!

and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
