1 О це походи Ізраїлевих синів, що вийшли з єгипетського краю за своїми військовими відділами під рукою Мойсея та Аарона.

These journeys of the sons of Israel who have come out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts, by the hand of Moses and Aaron;

2 А Мойсей написав їхні виходи з їхніми походами за Господнім наказом, і оце їхні походи за їхніми виходами.

and Moses writeth their outgoings, by their journeys, by the command of Jehovah; and these their journeys, by their outgoings:

3 І рушили вони з Рамесесу першого місяця, п'ятнадцятого дня першого місяця, другого дня по Пасці вийшли Ізраїлеві сини сильною рукою на очах усього Єгипту.

And they journey from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the morrow of the passover have the sons of Israel gone out with a high hand, before the eyes of all the Egyptians --

4 А Єгипет ховав, кого побив Господь серед них, кожного перворідного, а над їхніми богами зробив Господь суди.

and the Egyptians are burying those whom Jehovah hath smitten among them, every first-born, and on their gods hath Jehovah done judgments --

5 І рушили Ізраїлеві сини з Рамесесу, і таборували в Суккоті.

and the sons of Israel journey from Rameses, and encamp in Succoth.

6 І рушили з Суккоту й таборували в Етамі, що на краю пустині.

And they journey from Succoth, and encamp in Etham, which in the extremity of the wilderness;

7 І рушили з Етаму, а вернулися до Пі-Хіроту, що перед Баал-Цефоном, і таборували перед Міґдолом.

and they journey from Etham, and turn back on Pi-Hahiroth, which on the front of Baal-Zephon, and they encamp before Migdol.

8 І рушили з-перед Хіроту, і перейшли серед моря до пустині, і йшли триденною дорогою в Етамській пустині, і таборували в Марі.

And they journey from Pi-Hahiroth, and pass over through the midst of the sea, into the wilderness, and go a journey of three days in the wilderness of Etham, and encamp in Marah.

9 І рушили з Мари й увійшли до Еліму, а в Елімі дванадцять джерел води та сімдесят пальм, і таборували там.

And they journey from Marah, and come in to Elim, and in Elim twelve fountains of waters, and seventy palm trees, and they encamp there;

10 І рушили з Еліму й таборували над Червоним морем.

and they journey from Elim, and encamp by the Red Sea.

11 І рушили з-над Червоного моря й таборували в пустині Сін.

And they journey from the Red Sea, and encamp in the wilderness of Sin;

12 І рушили з пустині Сін і таборували в Дофці.

and they journey from the wilderness of Sin, and encamp in Dophkah.

13 І рушили з Дофки й таборували в Алуші.

And they journey from Dophkah, and encamp in Alush;

14 І рушили з Алушу й таборували в Ріфідімі, і не було там води на пиття для народу.

and they journey from Alush, and encamp in Rephidim; and there was there no water for the people to drink.

15 І рушили з Ріфідіму й таборували в пустині Сінай.

And they journey from Rephidim, and encamp in the wilderness of Sinai;

16 І рушили з пустині Сінай і таборували в Ківрот-Гаттааві.

and they journey from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamp in Kibroth-Hattaavah.

17 І рушили з Ківрот-Гаттаави й таборували в Хацероті.

And they journey from Kibroth-Hattaavah, and encamp in Hazeroth;

18 І рушили з Хацероту й таборували в Рітмі.

and they journey from Hazeroth, and encamp in Rithmah.

19 І рушили з Рітми й таборували в Ріммоні Переца.

And they journey from Rithmah, and encamp in Rimmon-Parez;

20 І рушили з Ріммону Переца й таборували в Лівні.

and they journey from Rimmon-Parez, and encamp in Libnah.

21 І рушили з Лівни й таборували в Ріссі.

And they journey from Libnah, and encamp in Rissah;

22 І рушили з Рісси й таборували в Кегелаті.

and they journey from Rissah, and encamp in Kehelathah.

23 І рушили з Кегелати й таборували на горі Шефер.

And they journey from Kehelathah, and encamp in mount Shapher;

24 І рушили з гори Шефер і таборували в Хараді.

and they journey from mount Shapher, and encamp in Haradah.

25 І рушили з Харади й таборували в Макгелоті.

And they journey from Haradah, and encamp in Makheloth;

26 І рушили з Макгелоту й таборували в Тахаті.

and they journey from Makheloth, and encamp in Tahath.

27 І рушили з Тахату й таборували в Тераху.

And they journey from Tahath, and encamp in Tarah;

28 І рушили з Тераху й таборували в Мітці.

and they journey from Tarah, and encamp in Mithcah.

29 І рушили з Мітки й таборували в Хашмоні.

And they journey from Mithcah, and encamp in Hashmonah;

30 І рушили з Хашмони й таборували в Мосероті.

and they journey from Hashmonah, and encamp in Moseroth.

31 І рушили з Мосероту й таборували в Бене-Яакані.

And they journey from Moseroth, and encamp in Bene-Jaakan;

32 І рушили з Бене-Яакану й таборували в Хорі Ґідґаду.

and they journey from Bene-Jaakan, and encamp at Hor-Hagidgad.

33 І рушили з Хору Ґідґаду й таборували в Йотваті.

And they journey from Hor-Hagidgad, and encamp in Jotbathah;

34 І рушили з Йотвати й таборували в Авроні.

and they journey from Jotbathah, and encamp in Ebronah.

35 І рушили з Аврони й таборували в Ецйон-Ґевері.

And they journey from Ebronah, and encamp in Ezion-Gaber;

36 І рушили з Ецйон-Ґеверу й таборували в пустині Цін, це Кадеш.

and they journey from Ezion-Gaber, and encamp in the wilderness of Zin, which Kadesh.

37 І рушили з Кадешу й таборували на Гор-горі, на краю едомської землі.

And they journey from Kadesh, and encamp in mount Hor, in the extremity of the land of Edom.

38 І зійшов священик Аарон на Гор-гору з Господнього наказу, та й помер там сорокового року виходу Ізраїлевих синів з єгипетського краю, п'ятого місяця, першого дня місяця.

And Aaron the priest goeth up unto mount Hor, by the command of Jehovah, and dieth there, in the fortieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month;

39 А Аарон був віку ста й двадцяти й трьох літ, коли помер він на Гор-горі.

and Aaron a son of a hundred and twenty and three years in his dying in mount Hor.

40 І почув ханаанеянин, цар Араду, а він сидів на півдні в Краї ханаанськім, що йдуть Ізраїлеві сини.

And the Canaanite -- king Arad -- who is dwelling in the south, in the land of Canaan, heareth of the coming of the sons of Israel.

41 І рушили від Гор-гори й таборували в Цалмоні.

And they journey from mount Hor, and encamp in Zalmonah;

42 І рушили з Цалмони й таборували в Пуноні.

and they journey from Zalmonah, and encamp in Punon.

43 І рушили з Пунону й таборували в Овоті.

And they journey from Punon, and encamp in Oboth;

44 І рушили з Овоту й таборували в Ійє-Гааварімі, на моавській границі.

and they journey from Oboth, and encamp in Ije-Abarim, in the border of Moab.

45 І рушили з Ійїму й таборували в Дівоні Ґаду.

And they journey from Iim, and encamp in Dibon-Gad;

46 І рушили з Дівону Ґаду й таборували в Алмон-Дівлатаймі.

and they journey from Dibon-Gad, and encamp in Almon-Diblathaim.

47 І рушили з Алмон-Дівлатайми й таборували в горах Аварім перед Нево.

And they journey from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamp in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo;

48 І рушили з гір Аварім, і таборували в моавських степах.

and they journey from the mountains of Abarim, and encamp in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, Jericho.

49 І таборували вони над Йорданом від Бет-Єшмоту аж до Авел-Шіттіму в моавських степах.

And they encamp by the Jordan from Beth-Jeshimoth, unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab.

50 І Господь промовляв до Мойсея в моавських степах над приєрихонським Йорданом, говорячи:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, Jericho, saying,

51 П ромовляй до Ізраїлевих синів та й скажеш до них: Коли ви перейдете Йордан до ханаанського Краю,

`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye are passing over the Jordan unto the land of Canaan,

52 т о проженете всіх мешканців того Краю перед собою, і понищите всі їхні зображення, і всіх литих ідолів їхніх понищите, і всі їхні висоти поруйнуєте.

then ye have dispossessed all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and have destroyed all their imagery, yea, all their molten images ye destroy, and all their high places ye lay waste,

53 І ви заволодієте тим Краєм, і осядете в ньому, бо Я дав вам той Край на власність.

and ye have possessed the land, and dwelt in it, for to you I have given the land -- to possess it.

54 І ви заволодієте тим Краєм жеребком за вашими родами: численному збільшите власність його, а малому зменшите власність його, де вийде йому жеребок, туди йому буде, за племенами ваших батьків будете володіти собі.

`And ye have inherited the land by lot, by your families; to the many ye increase their inheritance, and to the few ye diminish their inheritance; whither the lot goeth out to him, it is his; by the tribes of your fathers ye inherit.

55 А якщо ви не виженете мешканців того Краю від себе, то будуть ті, кого позоставите з них, колючками в ваших очах та тернями в ваших боках. І будуть вас утискати на тій землі, що на ній ви сидітимете.

`And if ye do not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it hath been, those whom ye let remain of them, for pricks in your eyes, and for thorns in your sides, and they have distressed you on the land in which ye are dwelling,

56 І станеться, як Я думав був учинити їм, учиню те вам.

and it hath come to pass, as I thought to do to them -- I do to you.'
