1 A ber an seinem Hause baute Salomo dreizehn Jahre, daß er's ganz ausbaute.

And his own house hath Solomon built thirteen years, and he finisheth all his house.

2 N ämlich er baute das Haus vom Wald Libanon, hundert Ellen lang, fünfzig Ellen weit und dreißig Ellen hoch. Auf vier Reihen von zedernen Säulen legte er den Boden von zedernen Balken,

And he buildeth the house of the forest of Lebanon; a hundred cubits its length, and fifty cubits its breadth, and thirty cubits its height, on four rows of cedar pillars, and cedar-beams on the pillars;

3 u nd deckte mit Zedern die Gemächer auf den Säulen, und der Gemächer waren fünfundvierzig, je fünfzehn in einer Reihe.

and covered with cedar above, on the sides that on the forty and five pillars, fifteen in the row.

4 U nd Gebälk lag in drei Reihen, und waren Fenster einander gegenüber dreimal.

And windows in three rows, and sight over-against sight three times.

5 U nd alle Türen waren in ihren Pfosten viereckig, und die Fenster waren einander gegenüber dreimal.

And all the openings and the side-posts square -- windows; and sight over-against sight three times.

6 E r baute auch eine Halle von Säulen, fünfzig Ellen lang und dreißig Ellen breit, und noch eine Halle vor diese mit Säulen und einem Aufgang davor,

And the porch of the pillars he hath made; fifty cubits its length, and thirty cubits its breadth, and the porch before them, and pillars and a thick place before them.

7 U nd baute eine Halle zum Richtstuhl, darin man Gericht hielt, und täfelte sie vom Boden bis zur Decke mit Zedern.

And the porch of the throne where he judgeth -- the porch of judgment -- he hath made, and covered with cedar from the floor unto the floor.

8 D azu sein Haus, darin er wohnte, im Hinterhof, hinten an der Halle, gemacht wie die andern. Und machte auch ein Haus wie die Halle der Tochter Pharaos, die Salomo zum Weibe genommen hatte.

As to his house where he dwelleth, the other court within the porch -- as this work it hath been; and a house he maketh for the daughter of Pharaoh -- whom Solomon hath taken -- like this porch.

9 S olches alles waren köstliche Steine, nach dem Winkeleisen gehauen, mit Sägen geschnitten auf allen Seiten, vom Grund an bis an das Dach und von außen bis zum großen Hof.

All these of precious stone, according to the measures of hewn work, sawn with a saw, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and at the outside, unto the great court.

10 D ie Grundfeste aber waren auch köstliche und große Steine, zehn und acht Ellen groß,

And the foundation of precious stone, great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits;

11 u nd darauf köstliche Steine, nach dem Winkeleisen gehauen, und Zedern.

and above precious stone, according to the measures of hewn work, and cedar;

12 A ber der große Hof umher hatte drei Reihen behauene Steine und eine Reihe von zedernen Balken wie auch der innere Hof am Hause des HERRN und die Halle am Hause.

and the great court round about three rows of hewn work, and a row of cedar-beams, even for the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and for the porch of the house.

13 U nd der König Salomo sandte hin und ließ holen Hiram von Tyrus,

And king Solomon sendeth and taketh Hiram out of Tyre --

14 e iner Witwe Sohn aus dem Stamm Naphthali, und sein Vater war ein Mann von Tyrus gewesen; der war ein Meister im Erz, voll Weisheit, Verstand und Kunst, zu arbeiten allerlei Erzwerk. Da er zum König Salomo kam, machte er alle seine Werke.

he son of a woman, a widow, of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father a man of Tyre, a worker in brass, and he is filled with the wisdom and the understanding, and the knowledge to do all work in brass -- and he cometh unto king Solomon, and doth all his work.

15 U nd machte zwei eherne Säulen, eine jegliche achtzehn Ellen hoch, und ein Faden von zwölf Ellen war das Maß um jegliche Säule her.

And he formeth the two pillars of brass; eighteen cubits the height of the one pillar, and a cord of twelve cubits doth compass the second pillar.

16 U nd machte zwei Knäufe, von Erz gegossen, oben auf die Säulen zu setzen und ein jeglicher Knauf war fünf Ellen hoch.

And two chapiters he hath made to put on the tops of the pillars, cast in brass; five cubits the height of the one chapiter, and five cubits the height of the second chapiter.

17 U nd es war an jeglichem Knauf oben auf den Säulen Gitterwerk, sieben geflochtenen Reife wie Ketten.

Nets of net-work, wreaths of chain-work for the chapiters that on the top of the pillars, seven for the one chapiter, and seven for the second chapiter.

18 U nd machte an jeglichem Knauf zwei Reihen Granatäpfel umher an dem Gitterwerk, womit der Knauf bedeckt ward.

And he maketh the pillars, and two rows round about on the one net-work, to cover the chapiters that on the top, with the pomegranates, and so he hath made for the second chapiter.

19 U nd die Knäufe waren wie die Lilien, vor der Halle, vier Ellen groß.

And the chapiters that on the top of the pillars of lily-work in the porch, four cubits;

20 U nd der Granatäpfel in den Reihen umher waren zweihundert, oben und unten an dem Gitterwerk, das um den Bauch des Knaufs her ging, an jeglichem Knauf auf beiden Säulen.

and the chapiters on the two pillars also above, over-against the protuberance that beside the net; and the pomegranates two hundred, in rows round about on the second chapiter.

21 U nd er richtete die Säulen auf vor der Halle des Tempels. Und die er zur rechten Hand setzte, hieß er Jachin, und die er zur linken Hand setzte, hieß er Boas.

And he raiseth up the pillars for the porch of the temple, and he raiseth up the right pillar, and calleth its name Jachin, and he raiseth up the left pillar, and calleth its name Boaz;

22 U nd es stand also oben auf den Säulen wie Lilien. Also ward vollendet das Werk der Säulen.

and on the top of the pillars lily-work; and the work of the pillars completed.

23 U nd er machte ein Meer, gegossen von einem Rand zum andern zehn Ellen weit, rundumher, und fünf Ellen hoch, und eine Schnur dreißig Ellen lang war das Maß ringsum.

And he maketh the molten sea, ten by the cubit from its edge unto its edge; round all about, and five by the cubit its height, and a line of thirty by the cubit doth compass it round about;

24 U nd um das Meer gingen Knoten an seinem Rande rings ums Meer her, je zehn auf eine Elle; der Knoten aber waren zwei Reihen gegossen.

and knops beneath its brim round about are compassing it, ten by the cubit, going round the sea round about; in two rows the knops, cast in its being cast.

25 U nd es stand auf zwölf Rindern, deren drei gegen Mitternacht gewandt waren, drei gegen Abend, drei gegen Mittag und drei gegen Morgen, und das Meer obendrauf, daß alle ihre Hinterteile inwendig waren.

It is standing on twelve oxen, three facing the north, and three facing the west, and three facing the south, and three facing the east, and the sea upon them above, and all their hinder parts inward.

26 S eine Dicke aber ward eine Hand breit, und sein Rand war wie eines Bechers Rand, wie eine aufgegangene Lilie, und gingen darein zweitausend Bath.

And its thickness an handbreadth, and its edge as the work of the edge of a cup, flowers of lilies; two thousand baths it containeth.

27 E r machte auch zehn eherne Gestühle, ein jegliches vier Ellen lang und breit und drei Ellen hoch.

And he maketh the ten bases of brass; four by the cubit the length of the one base, and four by the cubit its breadth, and three by the cubit its height.

28 E s war aber das Gestühl also gemacht, daß es Seiten hatte zwischen den Leisten.

And this the work of the base: they have borders, and the borders between the joinings;

29 U nd an den Seiten zwischen den Leisten waren Löwen, Ochsen und Cherubim. Und die Seiten, daran die Löwen und Ochsen waren, hatten Leisten oben und unten, dazu herabhängende Kränze.

and on the borders that between the joinings lions, oxen, and cherubs, and on the joinings a base above, and beneath the lions and the oxen additions -- sloping work.

30 U nd ein jegliches Gestühl hatte vier eherne Räder mit ehernem Gestell. Und auf vier Ecken waren Achseln gegossen, eine jegliche der andern gegenüber, unten an den Kessel gelehnt.

And four wheels of brass to the one base, and axles of brass; and its four corners have shoulders -- under the laver the molten shoulders, beside each addition.

31 A ber der Hals mitten auf dem Gestühl war eine Elle hoch und rund, anderthalb Ellen weit, und waren Buckeln an dem Hals, in Feldern, die viereckig waren und nicht rund.

And its mouth within the chapiter and above by the cubit, and its mouth round, the work of the base, a cubit and half a cubit; and also on its mouth carvings and their borders, square, not round.

32 D ie vier Räder aber standen unten an den Seiten, und die Achsen der Räder waren am Gestühl. Ein jegliches Rad war anderthalb Ellen hoch.

And the four wheels under the borders, and the spokes of the wheels in the base, and the height of the one wheel a cubit and half a cubit.

33 U nd es waren Räder wie Wagenräder. Und ihre Achsen, Naben, Speichen und Felgen waren alle gegossen.

And the work of the wheels as the work of the wheel of a chariot, their spokes, and their axles, and their felloes, and their naves; the whole molten.

34 U nd die vier Achseln auf den vier Ecken eines jeglichen Gestühls waren auch am Gestühl.

And four shoulders unto the four corners of the one base; out of the base its shoulders.

35 U nd am Hals oben auf dem Gestühl, eine halbe Elle hoch, rundumher, waren Leisten und Seiten am Gestühl.

And in the top of the base the half of a cubit in the height all round about; and on the top of the base its spokes and its borders of the same.

36 U nd er ließ auf die Fläche der Seiten und Leisten graben Cherubim, Löwen und Palmenbäume, nach dem auf jeglichem Raum war, und Kränze ringsumher daran.

And he openeth on the tablets of its spokes, and on its borders, cherubs, lions, and palm-trees, according to the void space of each, and additions round about.

37 A uf diese Weise machte er zehn Gestühle, gegossen; einerlei Maß und Gestalt war an allen.

Thus he hath made the ten bases; one casting, one measure, one form, have they all.

38 U nd er machte zehn eherne Kessel, daß vierzig Bath in einen Kessel ging, und jeder war vier Ellen groß; und auf jeglichem Gestühl war ein Kessel.

And he maketh ten lavers of brass; forty baths doth the one laver contain, four by the cubit the one laver, one laver on the one base to the ten bases;

39 U nd setzte fünf Gestühle an die rechte Ecke des Hauses und die andern fünf an die linke Ecke; aber das Meer setzte er zur Rechten vornan gegen Mittag.

and he putteth the five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house, and the sea he hath put on the right side of the house, eastward -- over-against the south.

40 U nd Hiram machte auch Töpfe, Schaufeln, Becken und vollendete also alle Werke, die der König Salomo am Hause des HERRN machen ließ:

And Hiram maketh the lavers, and the shovels, and the bowls; and Hiram completeth to do all the work that he made for king Solomon, the house of Jehovah;

41 d ie zwei Säulen und die kugeligen Knäufe oben auf den zwei Säulen; die zwei Gitterwerke, zu bedecken die zwei kugeligen Knäufe auf den Säulen;

pillars two, and bowls of the chapiters that on the top of the pillars two, and the nets two, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that on the top of the pillars;

42 u nd die vierhundert Granatäpfel an den zwei Gitterwerken, je zwei Reihen Granatäpfel an einem Gitterwerk, zu bedecken die zwei kugeligen Knäufe auf den Säulen;

and the pomegranates four hundred for the two nets, two rows of pomegranates for the one net, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that on the front of the pillars;

43 d azu die zehn Gestühle und zehn Kessel obendrauf;

and the ten bases, and the ten lavers on the bases;

44 u nd das Meer und zwölf Rinder unter dem Meer;

and the one sea, the twelve oxen under the sea,

45 u nd die Töpfe, Schaufeln und Becken. Und alle diese Gefäße, die Hiram dem König Salomo machte zum Hause des HERRN, waren von geglättetem Erz.

and the pots, and the shovels, and the bowls; and all these vessels, that Hiram hath made to king Solomon the house of Jehovah, of brass -- polished.

46 I n der Gegend am Jordan ließ sie der König gießen in dicker Erde, zwischen Sukkoth und Zarthan.

In the circuit of the Jordan hath the king cast them, in the thick soil of the ground, between Succoth and Zarthan.

47 U nd Salomo ließ alle Gefäße ungewogen vor der sehr großen Menge des Erzes.

And Solomon placeth the whole of the vessels; because of the very great abundance, the weight of the brass hath not been searched out.

48 A uch machte Salomo alles Gerät, das zum Hause des HERRN gehörte: einen goldenen Altar, einen goldenen Tisch, darauf die Schaubrote liegen;

And Solomon maketh all the vessels that in the house of Jehovah: the altar of gold, and the table -- on which the bread of the Presence -- of gold,

49 f ünf Leuchter zur rechten Hand und fünf Leuchter zur Linken vor dem Chor, von lauterem Gold, mit goldenen Blumen, Lampen und Schneuzen;

and the candlesticks, five on the right, and five on the left, before the oracle, of refined gold, and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold,

50 d azu Schalen, Messer, Becken, Löffel und Pfannen von lauterem Gold. Auch waren die Angeln an der Tür am Hause inwendig, im Allerheiligsten, und an der Tür des Hauses des Tempels golden.

and the basins, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the censers, of refined gold, and the hinges for the doors of the inner-house, for the holy of holies, for the doors of the house of the temple, of gold.

51 A lso ward vollendet alles Werk, das der König Salomo machte am Hause des HERRN. Und Salomo brachte hinein, was sein Vater David geheiligt hatte von Silber und Gold und Gefäßen, und legte es in den Schatz des Hauses des HERRN.

And it is complete -- all the work that king Solomon hath made the house of Jehovah, and Solomon bringeth in the sanctified things of David his father; the silver, and the gold, and the vessels he hath put in the treasuries of the house of Jehovah.
