1 C el scopit sau famenul să nu intre în adunarea Domnului.

`One wounded, bruised, or cut in the member doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah;

2 C el născut din curvie să nu intre în adunarea Domnului, nici chiar al zecilea neam al lui să nu intre în adunarea Domnului.

a bastard doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even a tenth generation of him doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

3 A monitul şi Moabitul să nu intre în adunarea Domnului, nici chiar al zecilea neam, pe vecie,

`An Ammonite and a Moabite doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even a tenth generation of them doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah -- to the age;

4 p entru că nu v'au ieşit înainte cu pîne şi apă, pe drum, la ieşirea voastră din Egipt, şi pentru că au adus, pe preţ de argint, împotriva ta pe Balaam, fiul lui Beor, din Petor din Mesopotamia, ca să te blesteme.

because that they have not come before you with bread and with water in the way, in your coming out from Egypt, and because he hath hired against thee Balaam son of Beor, of Pethor of Aram-Naharaim, to revile thee;

5 D ar Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, n'a voit să asculte pe Balaam; şi Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, a schimbat blestemul acela în binecuvîntare, pentru că tu eşti iubit de Domnul, Dumnezeul tău.

and Jehovah thy God hath not been willing to hearken unto Balaam, and Jehovah thy God doth turn for thee the reviling to a blessing, because Jehovah thy God hath loved thee;

6 S ă nu-ţi pese nici de propăşirea lor, nici de bună starea lor, toată viaţa ta, pe vecie.

thou dost not seek their peace and their good all thy days -- to the age.

7 S ă nu urăşti pe Edomit, căci este fratele tău; să nu urăşti pe Egiptean, căci ai fost străin în ţara lui:

`Thou dost not abominate an Edomite, for thy brother he; thou dost not abominate an Egyptian, for a sojourner thou hast been in his land;

8 f iii cari li se vor naşte, în al treilea neam, să intre în adunarea Domnului.

sons who are begotten of them, a third generation of them, doth enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

9 C înd vei ieşi cu oastea împotriva vrăjmaşilor tăi, fereşte-te de orice lucru rău.

`When a camp goeth out against thine enemies, then thou hast kept from every evil thing.

10 D acă va fi la tine cineva care să nu fie curat, în urma vreunei întîmplări din timpul nopţii, să iasă din tabără, şi să nu intre în tabără;

`When there is in thee a man who is not clean, from an accident at night -- then he hath gone out unto the outside of the camp -- he doth not come in unto the midst of the camp --

11 s pre seară, să se scalde în apă, şi după asfinţitul soarelui va putea să se întoarcă în tabără.

and it hath been, at the turning of the evening, he doth bathe with water, and at the going in of the sun he doth come in unto the midst of the camp.

12 S ă ai un loc afară din tabără, şi acolo să ieşi afară.

`And a station thou hast at the outside of the camp, and thou hast gone out thither without,

13 Î ntre uneltele tale să ai o lopată, cu care să sapi şi să-ţi acoperi murdăriile ieşite din tine, cînd vei ieşi afară.

and a nail thou hast on thy staff, and it hath been, in thy sitting without, that thou hast digged with it, and turned back, and covered thy filth;

14 C ăci Domnul Dumnezeul tău, merge în milocul taberei tale, ca să te ocrotească şi să-ţi dea în mînă pe vrăjmaşii tăi dinaintea ta; tabăra ta va trebui deci să fie sfîntă, pentruca Domnul să nu vadă la tine nimic necurat, şi să nu Se abată dela tine.

for Jehovah thy God is walking up and down in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give thine enemies before thee, and thy camp hath been holy, and He doth not see in thee the nakedness of anything, and hath turned back from after thee.

15 S ă nu dai înapoi stăpînului său pe un rob care va fugi la tine dupăce l -a părăsit.

`Thou dost not shut up a servant unto his lord, who is delivered unto thee from his lord;

16 S ă rămînă la tine, în mijlocul tău, în locul pe care -l va alege el, într'una din cetăţile tale, unde îi va plăcea: să nu -l asupreşti.

with thee he doth dwell, in thy midst, in the place which he chooseth within one of thy gates, where it is pleasing to him; thou dost not oppress him.

17 S ă nu fie nicio curvă din fetele lui Israel, şi să nu fie niciun sodomit din fiii lui Israel.

`There is not a whore among the daughters of Israel, nor is there a whoremonger among the sons of Israel;

18 S ă n'aduci în casa Domnului, Dumnezeului tău, cîştigul unei curve, nici preţul unui cîne, ca împlinire a unei juruinţe oarecare; căci şi unul şi altul sînt o urîciune înaintea Domnului, Dumnezeului tău.

thou dost not bring a gift of a whore, or a price of a dog, into the house of Jehovah thy God, for any vow; for the abomination of Jehovah thy God even both of them.

19 S ă nu ceri nicio dobîndă dela fratele tău: nici pentru argint, nici pentru merinde, pentru nimic care se împrumută cu dobîndă.

`Thou dost not lend in usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of food, usury of anything which is lent on usury.

20 D ela străin vei putea să iei dobîndă, dar dela fratele tău să nu iei, pentruca Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, să te binecuvinteze în tot ce vei face în ţara pe care o vei lua în stăpînire.

To a stranger thou mayest lend in usury, and to thy brother thou dost not lend in usury, so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in every putting forth of thy hand on the land whither thou goest in to possess it.

21 D acă faci o juruinţă Domnului, Dumnezeului tău, să nu pregeţi s'o împlineşti; căci Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, îţi va cere socoteala, şi te vei face vinovat de un păcat.

`When thou vowest a vow to Jehovah thy God, thou dost not delay to complete it; for Jehovah thy God doth certainly require it from thee, and it hath been in thee -- sin.

22 2 2. Dacă te fereşti să faci o juruinţă, nu faci un păcat.

`And when thou forbearest to vow, it is not in thee a sin.

23 D ar să păzeşti şi să împlineşti ce-ţi va ieşi de pe buze, şi anume juruinţele pe cari le vei face de bună voie Domnului, Dumnezeului tău, şi pe cari le vei rosti cu gura ta.

The produce of thy lips thou dost keep, and hast done, as thou hast vowed to Jehovah thy God; a free-will-offering, which thou hast spoken with thy mouth.

24 D acă intri în via aproapelui tău, vei putea să mănînci struguri, după plac, pînă te vei sătura; dar în vas să nu iei.

`When thou comest in unto the vineyard of thy neighbour, then thou hast eaten grapes, according to thy desire, thy sufficiency; but into thy vessel thou dost not put.

25 D acă intri în holdele aproapelui tău, vei putea să culegi spice cu mîna, dar secerea în holdele aproapelui tău, să n'o pui.

When thou comest in among the standing-corn of thy neighbour, then thou hast plucked the ears with thy hand, but a sickle thou dost not wave over the standing-corn of thy neighbour.
