1 A şa vorbeşte Domnul:, Păziţi ce este drept, şi faceţi ce este bine; căci mîntuirea Mea este aproape să vină, şi neprihănirea Mea este aproape să se arate.

Thus said Jehovah: `Keep ye judgment, and do righteousness, For near My salvation to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.'

2 F erice de omul care face lucrul acesta, şi de fiul omului care rămîne statornic în el, păzind Sabatul, ca să nu -l pîngărească, şi stăpînindu-şi mîna, ca să nu facă nici un rău!

O the happiness of a man who doth this, And of a son of man who keepeth hold on it, Keeping the sabbath from polluting it, And keeping his hand from doing any evil.

3 S trăinul care se alipeşte de Domnul, să nu zică:, Domnul mă va despărţi de poporul Său!` Şi famenul să nu zică:, Iată, eu sînt un copac uscat!`

Nor speak let a son of the stranger, Who is joined unto Jehovah, saying: `Jehovah doth certainly separate me from His people.' Nor say let the eunuch, `Lo, I am a tree dried up,'

4 C ăci aşa vorbeşte Domnul:, Famenilor, cari vor păzi Sabatele Mele, cari vor alege ce-Mi este plăcut, şi vor stărui în legămîntul Meu,

For thus said Jehovah of the eunuchs, Who do keep My sabbaths, And have fixed on that which I desired, And are keeping hold on My covenant:

5 l e voi da în Casa Mea şi înlăuntrul zidurilor Mele un loc şi un nume mai bune de cît fii şi fiice; le voi da un nume vecinic, care nu se va stinge.

I have given to them in My house, And within My walls a station and a name, Better than sons and than daughters, A name age-during I give to him That is not cut off.

6 Ş i pe străinii, care se vor lipi de Domnul ca să -I slujească, şi să iubească Numele Domnului, pentru ca să fie slujitorii Lui, şi pe toţi cei ce vor păzi Sabatul, ca să nu -l pîngărească, şi vor stărui în legămîntul Meu,

And sons of the stranger, who are joined to Jehovah, To serve Him, and to love the name of Jehovah, To be to Him for servants, Every keeper of the sabbath from polluting it, And those keeping hold on My covenant.

7 î i voi aduce la muntele Meu cel sfînt, şi -i voi umplea de veselie în Casa Mea de rugăciune. Arderile lor de tot şi jertfele lor vor fi primite pe altarul Meu, căci Casa Mea se va numi o casă de rugăciune pentru toate popoarele.``

I have brought them unto My holy mountain, And caused them to rejoice in My house of prayer, Their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices for a pleasing thing on Mine altar, For My house, `A house of prayer,' Is called for all the peoples.

8 A şa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu, care strînge pe cei risipiţi ai lui Israel:,, Voi mai strînge şi alte popoare la cei strînşi acum din el.``

An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel: `Again I gather to him -- to his gathered ones.'

9 V eniţi toate fiarele de pe cîmp, veniţi de mîncaţi, toate fiarele din pădure!

Every beast of the field, Come to devour, every beast in the forest.

10 T oţi păzitorii lui sînt orbi, fără pricepere; toţi sînt nişte cîni muţi, cari nu pot să latre; aiurează, stau tolăniţi, şi le place să doarmă.

Blind his watchmen -- all of them, They have not known, All of them dumb dogs, they are not able to bark, Dozing, lying down, loving to slumber.

11 T otuş sînt nişte cîni lacomi, cari nu se mai satură. Sînt nişte păstori cari nu pot pricepe nimic; toţi îşi văd de calea lor, fiecare umblă după folosul lui, fără abatere: -

And the dogs strong of desire, They have not known sufficiency, And they shepherds! They have not known understanding, All of them to their own way they did turn, Each to his dishonest gain from his quarter:

12 V eniţi, -zic ei-am să caut vin, şi ne vom îmbăta cu băuturi tari! Mîne vom face tot ca azi, ba încă şi mai rău!`` -

`Come ye, I take wine, And we drink, quaff strong drink, And as this day hath been to-morrow, Great -- exceeding abundant!'
