1 C ăci iată că în zilele acelea şi în vremile acelea, cînd voi aduce înapoi pe prinşii de război ai lui Iuda şi ai Ierusalimului,

For lo, in those days, and in that time, When I turn back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

2 v oi strînge pe toate neamurile, şi le voi pogorî în valea lui Iosafat. Acolo, Mă voi judeca cu ele, pentru poporul Meu, pentru Israel, moştenirea Mea, pe care l-au risipit printre neamuri, împărţind între ele ţara Mea.

Then I have gathered all the nations, And caused them to go down unto the valley of Jehoshaphat, And I have been judged with them there, Concerning My people and Mine inheritance -- Israel, Whom they scattered among nations, And My land they have apportioned.

3 A u tras la sorţ pentru poporul Meu; au dat un flăcău pe o curvă, şi au vîndut fata pe vin, şi l-au băut.

And for My people they do cast a lot, And they give the young man for an harlot, And the young woman have sold for wine, That they may drink.

4 C e vreţi voi cu Mine, Tirule şi Sidonule, şi toate ţinuturile Filistenilor? Vreţi să-Mi răsplătiţi vreo faptă, sau să faceţi ceva împotriva Mea? Iute, fără zăbavă, voi întoarce faptele voastre asupra capului vostru.

And also, what ye to Me, O Tyre and Zidon, And all circuits of Philistia? Recompence are ye rendering unto Me? And if ye are giving recompence to Me, Swiftly, hastily, I turn back your recompence on your head.

5 M i-aţi luat argintul şi aurul, şi cele mai bune odoare ale Mele, şi le-aţi dus în templele voastre.

In that My silver and My gold ye took, And My desirable things that are good, Ye have brought in to your temples.

6 A ţi vîndut pe copiii lui Iuda şi ai Ierusalimului copiilor Grecilor, ca să -i depărtaţi din ţara lor.

And sons of Judah, and sons of Jerusalem, Ye have sold to the sons of Javan, To put them far off from their border.

7 I ată că îi scol în locul în care i-aţi vîndut, şi voi întoarce fapta voastră asupra capului vostru.

Lo, I am stirring them up out of the place Whither ye have sold them, And I have turned back your recompence on your head,

8 V oi vinde copiilor lui Iuda pe fiii şi fiicele voastre, şi ei îi vor vinde Sabeenilor, un neam depărtat; căci Domnul a vorbit.

And have sold your sons and your daughters Into the hand of the sons of Judah, And they have sold them to Shabeans, Unto a nation far off, for Jehovah hath spoken.

9 V estiţi aceste lucruri printre neamuri: pregătiţi războiul! Treziţi pe viteji! Să se apropie şi să se suie, toţi oamenii de război!

Proclaim ye this among nations, Sanctify a war, stir up the mighty ones, Come nigh, come up, let all the men of war.

10 F iarele plugurilor voastre prefaceţi-le în săbii, şi cosoarele în suliţe! Cel slab să zică:,, Sînt tare!``

Beat your ploughshares to swords, And your pruning-hooks to javelins, Let the weak say, `I mighty.'

11 G răbiţi-vă şi veniţi, toate neamurile de primprejur, şi strîngeţi-vă! Acolo pogoară, Doamne, pe vitejii Tăi!

Haste, and come in, all ye nations round, And be gathered together, Thither cause to come down, O Jehovah, Thy mighty ones.

12 S ă se scoale neamurile, şi să se suie în valea lui Iosafat! Căci acolo voi şedea să judec toate neamurile de primprejur.

Wake and come up let the nations unto the valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I sit to judge all the nations around.

13 P uneţi mîna pe secere, căci secerişul este copt! Veniţi şi călcaţi cu picioarele, căci linurile sînt pline, şi tocitorile dau peste ele! Căci mare este răutatea lor!

Send ye forth a sickle, For ripened hath harvest, Come in, come down, for filled hath been the press, Overflowed hath wine-presses, For great their wickedness.

14 V in grămezi-grămezi în valea judecăţii, căci ziua Domnului este aproape, în valea judecăţii.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision, For near the day of Jehovah in the valley of decision.

15 S oarele şi luna se întunecă, şi stelele îşi pierd strălucirea.

Sun and moon have been black, And stars have gathered up their shining.

16 D omnul răcneşte din Sion, glasul Lui răsună din Ierusalim, de se zguduie cerurile şi pămîntul. Dar Domnul este scăparea poporului Său, şi ocrotirea copiilor lui Israel.

And Jehovah from Zion doth roar, And from Jerusalem giveth forth His voice, And shaken have the heavens and earth, And Jehovah a refuge to his people, And a stronghold to sons of Israel.

17 Ş i veţi şti că Eu sînt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, care locuieşte în Sion, muntele Meu cel sfînt. Ierusalimul însă va fi sfînt, şi nu vor mai trece străinii prin el.

And ye have known that I Jehovah your God, Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain, And Jerusalem hath been holy, And strangers do not pass over into it again.

18 Î n vremea aceea, va picura must din munţi, şi va curge lapte din dealuri, toate pîraiele lui Iuda vor fi pline de apă. Un izvor va ieşi deasemenea din Casa Domnului, şi va uda valea Sitim.

And it hath come to pass, in that day, Drop down do the mountains juice, And the hills do flow milk, And all streams of Judah do go water, And a fountain from the house of Jehovah goeth forth, And hath watered the valley of Shittim.

19 E giptul va ajunge pustiu, Edomul va ajunge o pustie stearpă, din pricina sîlniciei făcute împotriva copiilor lui Iuda, al căror sînge nevinovat l-au vărsat în ţara lor.

Egypt a desolation becometh, And Edom a desolation, a wilderness, becometh, For violence sons of Judah, Whose innocent blood they shed in their land.

20 D ar Iuda va fi vecinic locuit, şi Ierusalimul din neam în neam.

And Judah to the age doth dwell, And Jerusalem to generation and generation.

21 L e voi răzbuna sîngele pe care nu l-am răzbunat încă, dar Domnul va locui în Sion

And I have declared their blood innocent, I did not declare innocent, And Jehovah is dwelling in Zion!
