1 ( Un psalm al lui Asaf.) Dumnezeu stă în adunarea lui Dumnezeu; El judecă în mijlocul dumnezeilor.

-- A Psalm of Asaph. God hath stood in the company of God, In the midst God doth judge.

2 - ,, Pînă cînd veţi judeca strîmb, şi veţi căuta la faţa celor răi? -

Till when do ye judge perversely? And the face of the wicked lift up? Selah.

3 F aceţi dreptate celui slab şi orfanului, daţi dreptate nenorocitului şi săracului,

Judge ye the weak and fatherless, The afflicted and the poor declare righteous.

4 S căpaţi pe cel nevoiaş şi lipsit, izbăviţi -i din mîna celor răi.``

Let the weak and needy escape, From the hand of the wicked deliver them.

5 D ar ei nu vor să ştie de nimic, nu pricep'nimic, ci umblă în întunerec; de aceea se clatină toate temeliile pămîntului.

They knew not, nor do they understand, In darkness they walk habitually, Moved are all the foundations of earth.

6 E u am zis:,, Sînteţi dumnezei, toţi sînteţi fii ai Celui Prea Înalt.``

I -- I have said, `Gods ye, And sons of the Most High -- all of you,

7 Î nsă veţi muri ca nişte oameni, veţi cădea ca un domnitor oarecare.`` -

But as man ye die, and as one of the heads ye fall,

8 S coală-Te, Dumnezeule, şi judecă pămîntul! Căci toate neamurile sînt ale Tale.

Rise, O God, judge the earth, For Thou hast inheritance among all the nations!
