1 D omnul a zis lui Moise:,, Du-te la Faraon, şi spune -i:, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul:, Lasă pe poporul Meu să plece, ca să-Mi slujească.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go in unto Pharaoh: and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, Send My people away, and they serve Me;

2 D acă nu vrei să -l laşi să plece, am să aduc broaşte pe toată întinderea ţării tale.

and if thou art refusing to send away, lo, I am smiting all thy border with frogs;

3 R îul va mişuna de broaşte; ele se vor sui, şi vor intra în casa ta, în odaia ta de dormit şi în patul tău, în casa slujitorilor tăi şi în casele poporului tău, în cuptoarele şi în postăvile de frămîntat pînea.

and the River hath teemed frogs, and they have gone up and gone into thy house, and into the inner-chamber of thy bed, and on thy couch, and into the house of thy servants, and among thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneading-troughs;

4 B a încă broaştele se vor sui şi pe tine, pe poporul tău, şi pe toţi slujitorii tăi.``

yea, on thee, and on thy people, and on all thy servants do the frogs go up.'

5 D omnul a zis lui Moise:,, Spune lui Aaron:,Întinde-ţi mîna cu toiagul peste rîuri, peste pîraie şi peste iazuri, şi scoate broaşte din ele peste ţara Egiptului!``

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy hand, with thy rod, against the streams, against the rivers, and against the ponds, and cause the frogs to come up against the land of Egypt.'

6 A aron şi -a întins mîna peste apele Egiptului; şi au ieşit broaştele şi au acoperit ţara Egiptului.

And Aaron stretcheth out his hand against the waters of Egypt, and the frog cometh up, and covereth the land of Egypt;

7 D ar şi vrăjitorii au făcut la fel prin vrăjitoriile lor: au scos şi ei broaşte peste toată ţara Egiptului.

and the scribes do so with their flashings, and cause the frogs to come up against the land of Egypt.

8 F araon a chemat pe Moise, şi pe Aaron, şi a zis:,, Rugaţi-vă Domnului, să depărteze broaştele dela mine şi dela poporul meu; şi am să las pe popor să plece să aducă jertfe Domnului.``

And Pharaoh calleth for Moses and for Aaron, and saith, `Make supplication unto Jehovah, that he turn aside the frogs from me, and from my people, and I send the people away, and they sacrifice to Jehovah.'

9 M oise a zis lui Faraon:,, Hotărăşte-mi, cînd să mă rog Domnului pentru tine, pentru slujitorii tăi şi pentru poporul tău, ca să îndepărteze broaştele dela tine şi din casele tale? Nu vor mai rămînea decît în rîu.``

And Moses saith to Pharaoh, `Beautify thyself over me; when do I make supplication for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to cut off the frogs from thee and from thy houses -- only in the River they do remain?'

10 E l a răspuns:,, Mîne``. Şi Moise a zis:,, Aşa va fi, ca să ştii că nimeni nu este ca Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru.

and he saith, `To-morrow.' And he saith, According to thy word, so that thou knowest that there is none like Jehovah our God,

11 B roaştele se vor depărta dela tine şi din casele tale, dela slujitorii tăi şi dela poporul tău; nu vor mai rămînea decît în rîu.``

and the frogs have turned aside from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; only in the River they do remain.'

12 M oise şi Aaron au ieşit de la Faraon. Şi Moise a strigat către Domnul cu privire la broaştele cu cari lovise pe Faraon.

And Moses -- Aaron also -- goeth out from Pharaoh, and Moses crieth unto Jehovah, concerning the matter of the frogs which He hath set on Pharaoh;

13 D omnul a făcut cum cerea Moise; şi broaştele au pierit în case, în curţi şi în ogoare.

and Jehovah doth according to the word of Moses, and the frogs die out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields,

14 L e-au strîns grămezi, şi ţara s'a împuţit.

and they heap them up together, and the land stinketh.

15 F araon, văzînd că are răgaz să răsufle în voie, şi -a împietrit inima, şi n'a ascultat de Moise şi de Aaron, după cum spuse Domnul.

And Pharaoh seeth that there hath been a respite, and he hath hardened his heart, and hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken.

16 D omnul a zis lui Moise:,, Spune lui Aaron:, Intinde-ţi toiagul, şi loveşte ţărîna pămîntului, şi se va preface în păduchi, în toată ţara Egiptului.``

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, and it hath become gnats in all the land of Egypt.'

17 A şa au făcut. Aaron şi -a întins mîna cu toiagul, şi a lovit ţărîna pămîntului; şi s'a prefăcut în păduchi pe toţi oamenii şi pe toate dobitoacele. Toată ţărîna pămîntului s'a prefăcut în păduchi, în toată ţara Egiptului.

And they do so, and Aaron stretcheth out his hand with his rod, and smiteth the dust of the land, and the gnats are on man and on beast; all the dust of the land hath been gnats in all the land of Egypt.

18 V răjitorii au căutat să facă şi ei păduchi prin vrăjitoriile lor; dar n'au putut. Păduchii erau pe oameni şi pe dobitoace.

And the scribes do so with their flashings, to bring out the gnats, and they have not been able, and the gnats are on man and on beast;

19 Ş i vrăjitorii au zis lui Faraon:,, Aici este degetul lui Dumnezeu!`` Dar inima lui Faraon s'a împietrit, şi n'a ascultat de Moise şi de Aaron, după cum spusese Domnul.

and the scribes say unto Pharaoh, `It the finger of God;' and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken.

20 D omnul a zis lui Moise:,, Scoală-te dis de dimineaţă, şi du-te înaintea lui Faraon, cînd are să iasă să se ducă la apă. Să -i spui:, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul:, Lasă pe poporul Meu să plece, ca să-Mi slujească.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Rise early in the morning, and station thyself before Pharaoh, lo, he is going out to the waters, and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, Send My people away, and they serve Me;

21 D acă nu vei lăsa pe poporul Meu să plece, am să trimet muşte cîneşti împotriva ta, împotriva slijitorilor tăi, împotriva poporului tău şi împotriva caselor tale; casele Egiptenilor vor fi pline de muşte, şi pămîntul va fi acoperit de ele.

for, if thou art not sending My people away, lo, I am sending against thee, and against thy servants, and against thy people, and against thy houses, the beetle, and the houses of the Egyptians have been full of the beetle, and also the ground on which they are.

22 D ar, în ziua aceea voi deosebi ţinutul Gosen, unde locueşte poporul Meu, şi acolo nu vor fi muşte, pentruca să cunoşti că Eu, Domnul, sînt în mijlocul ţinutului acestuia.

`And I have separated in that day the land of Goshen, in which My people are staying, that the beetle is not there, so that thou knowest that I Jehovah in the midst of the land,

23 V oi face o deosebire între poporul Meu şi poporul tău. Semnul acesta va fi mîne.``

and I have put a division between My people and thy people: to-morrow is this sign.'

24 D omnul a făcut aşa. A venit un roi de muşte cîneşti în casa lui Faraon şi a slujitorilor lui, şi toată ţara Egiptului a fost pustiită de muşte cîneşti.

And Jehovah doth so, and the grievous beetle entereth the house of Pharaoh, and the house of his servants, and in all the land of Egypt the land is corrupted from the presence of the beetle.

25 F araon a chemat pe Moise şi pe Aaron, şi le -a zis:,, Duceţi-vă de aduceţi jertfe Dumnezeului vostru aici în ţară.``

And Pharaoh calleth unto Moses and to Aaron, and saith, `Go, sacrifice to your God in the land;'

26 M oise a răspuns:,, Nu este deloc potrivit să facem aşa; căci am aduce Domnului, Dumnezeului nostru, jertfe, care sînt o urîciune pentru Egipteni. Şi dacă am aduce, subt ochii lor, jertfe cari sînt o urîciune pentru Egipteni, nu ne vor ucide ei oare cu pietre?

and Moses saith, `Not right to do so, for the abomination of the Egyptians we do sacrifice to Jehovah our God; lo, we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes -- and they do not stone us!

27 V om face mai bine un drum de trei zile în pustie, şi acolo vom aduce jertfe Domnului, Dumnezeului nostru, după cum ne va spune.``

A journey of three days we go into the wilderness, and have sacrificed to Jehovah our God, as He saith unto us.'

28 F araon a zis:,, Vă voi lăsa să plecaţi, ca să aduceţi jertfe Domnului, Dumnezeului vostru, în pustie; numai, să nu vă depărtaţi prea mult, dacă plecaţi. Rugaţi-vă pentru mine.``

And Pharaoh saith, `I send you away, and ye have sacrificed to Jehovah your God in the wilderness, only go not very far off; make ye supplication for me;'

29 M oise a răspuns:,, Am să ies dela tine, şi am să mă rog Domnului. Mîne, muştele se vor depărta dela Faraon, dela slujitorii lui, şi dela poporul lui. Dar, să nu ne mai înşele Faraon, ne vrînd să lase pe popor să plece, ca să aducă jertfe Domnului.``

and Moses saith, `Lo, I am going out from thee, and have made supplication unto Jehovah, and the beetle hath turned aside from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people -- to-morrow, only let not Pharaoh add to deceive -- in not sending the people away to sacrifice to Jehovah.'

30 M oise a ieşit dela Faraon, şi s'a rugat Domnului.

And Moses goeth out from Pharaoh, and maketh supplication unto Jehovah,

31 D omnul a făcut cum cerea Moise; şi muştele s'au depărtat dela Faraon, dela slujitorii lui, şi dela poporul lui. N'a mai rămas una.

and Jehovah doth according to the word of Moses, and turneth aside the beetle from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people -- there hath not been left one;

32 D ar Faraon, şi de data aceasta, şi -a împietrit inima, şi n'a lăsat pe popor să plece.

and Pharaoh hardeneth his heart also at this time, and hath not sent the people away.
